To supplement what's been mentioned here... Their main producer is PDogg - he has been called the '8th member of BTS' - and there are a few in-house and outside producers that they tend to work with. Eg. Slow Rabbit used to produce more of their ballads before he moved over to helm TXT. The members themselves produce very few of their own songs as BTS but they do write (lyrics) and compose (melodies) a lot. The ones who have put out mixtapes though, they have contributed significantly to the production in those mixtapes. BTS probably have too little time with the vast amount of content they put out to actually be the tech and creative directors of recording the group's music. Where I find the bighit producers excelling is at transmitting and amplifying the personalities and experiences that the members express with their lyrics and melodies. BTS's music is a huge all-round team effort and from interviews and vlives, it's clear that all these people and processes result in stellar musical output.
You are becoming my favorite reactor. I'm sitting here about 3:00 in the morning binge watching your videos. I'm dancing right along with you. I have stage two young onset Parkinson's disease and dancing is the way that I'm still independent and can dance right along with you. How does a 52-year-old know about BTS? I have a 14-year-old OG BTS Army daughter. And when I mean OG she knows every name she knows their pet names. I don't mean like their nicknames I mean the names of their actual pets. She knows the birthdays she knows every time a new song is going to drop. There are so much I'm thinking of right now. I would love for you to watch the videos that explain who BTS is. It's like they're backstory and how much crap they had to go through to be where they are today. That's why you need to watch Mike drop again with the CC on because that is one heck of an awesome diss track. I also have a 27-year-old son who's a pretty good rapper himself. So yes I'm cool like that. That's how you stay young. You keep moving and dancing. Plus also there are videos of just their dance choreography and then practicing for like every single song. Yes that's a thing. Every song and video they do they have videos of them in rehearsal and I would love for you to react to some of their dance choreography videos. You have made my night. I was in a lot of pain and having trouble moving and I started watching you and started moving to the point where I woke my husband up even with my headphones on because I was playing it so loud. So now I'm in the office listening to you and laughing and moving. And if you could send up a prayer for me because in about 2 weeks on the 20th I'm having the first of two procedures done called DBS. I know funny BTS DBS. Deep brain stimulation surgery. Yes they're putting electrode the deep into my brain and then I'm going to have a pacemaker like device in my chest with a little remote so I can light my brain up. It's like a pacemaker for my brain to help with the Parkinson's symptoms. But I thank God for you tonight because you are a blessing. Prayers and love to you and thanks. Not from my husband though because he was really mad that I woke him up because I was playing you so loud that he knew what song it was. My husband was actually going to take my daughter to see BTS in 2020 in Chicago. They actually bought tickets. That's part of what Mike drop was about it was awesome when Suga he's one of my favorites he's one of the rappers was doing his part it talked about how their tickets sell out in less than 10 minutes no matter what venue it is. And my husband actually got tickets in Chicago and we live in Colorado but then covid hit and they didn't get to see them. I appreciate what you have to say, and I sure enjoy your appreciation of BTS. This number is also performed on Jimmy Fallon, in Grand Central Station. They had the venue 2-4 a.m. Background dancers were NY dancers. They did this 4 times in a row to get spacing, polish, etc. BTS said they never would have made it but the backup dancers started cheering them on and shoving energy to them. End of the 4 th dance, it looks like everybody is ready to drop. It is well worth watching and also catching the backup dancers cheering BTS on.
OMG I love your personality. Had a huge grin from beginning to end. And if you want to see them really perform, watch one of their 30 minute award shows. Like maybe the 2019 MMA Awards. It's like nothing you've ever seen.

You have to see their song Dyonisus, We are bulletproff, No more dream, Dope. You will see RM, Suga, J-hope will rap. Basicly, their group had to become hip hop group.

They actually produce and write lol, 3 rappers have more than 100 song credits to their names, 2 of them are underground rappers, and one started rapping after joining them but he also sings.. The other 4 are vocalists
You need to react to RM Joke and RM and Wale Change,, Agust D Agust D and Daechwita and J Hope Airplane and Bass Line. They are the rap line of BTS RM, Agust D (Suga) and J Hope. Also songs with all 3 together Ugh and Ddaeng. I think you will be shocked and enjoy it so much.

Yet again. Another song thats probably 50% English and we think its all Korean lol. Heads up most bts songs have between 25 and 75 percent english. Only butter and dynamite are 100% english. But most are roughly 50/50 just got to use the ears lol
Yo I apologize, I didn't realize they were performing in Korean.. the reason I made those comments about not understanding a word they spoke and how much I disliked the song was because I thought they were just mumbling the words so badly I couldn't understand them. I didn't realize it was in a totally different language. I'd like to hear something they do in English if they have anything, because honestly if I don't understand what they're singing about why the hell would I want to listen to them

Ok I went to listen to a bunch of the music that people recommended by this band and I've come to a conclusion. The music is kind of catchy but as I said in my original comment too much auto-tuning. I have not heard one voice one time on any of their songs where it was not auto-tuned to the maximum level. Another Soulless boy band who can't sing so they autotune everything.
Can I ask why you think that makes them soulless? They can sing INCREDIBLY well, first of all. There is a video called "BTS HIGH NOTES & FALSETTOS COMPILATION " that showcases this, if you don't want to sit through full performances. They write and produce their own music (unlike most boy groups), they are in charge of everything to do with their career and aren't just spoonfed it all (unlike most boy groups) and their lyrics are so deep and meaningful that they have risked being blacklisted by the South Korea government a couple of times, just so that they can make music that speaks out against injustice...nothing about that screams "soulless" to me. Also, a lot of their songs don't use autotune, but much of the more 'popular' stuff does as that is highly desirable in pop music these days. All in all...a pretty ignorant comment I think.
@@kicholsc the reason why I think auto-tune makes people sound soulless? its because every human voice has its own timber and its own pitch and these things are unique to most people and when you're singing with a lot of emotion you're not always going to be pitch perfect ... It's the little fluctuations where your a little high on this note or a little low on that note that give the music it's flavor, and once you filter out all that flavor and all those little nuances you take out the soul of the music and all your left with is a pitch perfect representation of the song that a synthesizer with a voice sample could produce.
@@alisawalice531 I'm not saying the performance was lacking or the choreography wasn't great. The production value was there, it's just lacking soul. Otis Redding, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, they didn't sing perfect. they sang with emotion and feeling, with all the beautiful flaws that make them great.
@@thickasabrick2293 I agree to an extent, but what autotune doesn't do is remove a person's vocal tone, and every member of bts have Widley different tones to one another...so it adds dimension. I've no issue with it being used in the way bts sometimes does, bc if you watch a live performance, you can see it's for the style of sound it creates & not bc they can't sing. However, I agree that I don't like it when it's clearly used just to tune a vocal.
