At the risk of sounding like a broken record - you guys are awesome. I've been pasting the following reply on reactions to this song, because it's true: I am SO happy this song is out. To understand _The System,_ you have to realize two fundamental truths: 1) Those controlling "The System" are _Eugenicists._ Look up "eugenics" - the term doesn't come from Star Trek. Their basic, intrinsic views are rooted in their interpretation of genetics. 2) Ask why those running "The System" _hate_ the movie _Idiocracy:_ it shows too much of the end-goal. "Idiocracy" shows a comedic take on where those running "The System" want to take "lower" society: Stupid people are good, because they are easier to control. Smart people, in contrast, are only good if they agree with and promote The System. If you are smart, but hate The System, you have to be dealt with -- it's not about ki11ing you; that rarely has to happen, because it is usually a hard narrative to control. It is FAR easier to simply demoralize and depress you, then simultaneously encourage you (and any children you might have) to take mood-altering drugs that you don't need; _much_ better, is to depress you to the point where you do not want to have children in the first place, in the belief that bringing a child into such a dysfunctional world is the height of irresponsibility...which is the _other_ reason why abortion and birth control are promoted so heavily - it's population control, alright: controlling future opponents of The System. There is one - and ONLY one - enemy: The System You fight back, by doing those things that The System does not want you to do, but cannot attack you for doing....and the more people that do these things, the weaker the grip of The System becomes.
