I fell in love with her the first time I heard her. The range of her voice is incredible, so very talented. Her smile is intoxicating. Her early music videos are some of the best ever done. I wish my life was a Whitney Houston music video. Miss you Whitney.

Dionne was her cousin not her aunt. Whitney was also related to Leotyne Price a very famous black opera singer. Whitney was just born to sing. From her lower register to her operatic head voice, Whitney was phenomenal. She’s the greatest vocalist of all time.

Sadly it has come to light recently that people are coming forward claiming she was actually murdered…. And D. Diddy didn’t cancel his big party that night, which was in the same hotel she was in where her body was still there and hadn’t been removed yet. The party was taken place a floor below her, which is disturbing and people are saying he had a part to play in her death as well. There is so much to her passing that meets the eye. She is still my icon singer to this day and always will be.

Fun Fact Whitney’s aunt Arthur lee warwick who is Dionne’s mother was offered a scholarship to Juilliard as a lyric soprano. Their whole family was exceptionally talented

The look created by stylists for this video was nothing like what Whitney looked like in her real life in those times. She had short hair, didn't really wear any make up at all, and wore really simple everyday clothes and often a cross necklace. She was also in love with and living with another woman. It makes me sad that artists weren't encouraged to be themselves in those days. Instead, young female artists were all ordered to fit a certain mold - perky, sexy and fun.

@@sweetkiss119 lol, it’s often how I figure out what other singers are doing with their voices… it’s not like a sport where I can look and see what is being done with the body. I can only hear the result, so sometimes it helps for me to imitate the singer to figure out exactly what is being done in order to achieve a specific kind of sound and that is how I can explain it to my beautiful viewers who are curious about that 😊 Hope that clarifies!
