0:01 Final Duet 2:12 Do You Remember 2:48 A Home For Flowers (Daisy) 4:08 A Home For Flowers (Sunflower) 5:33 Good Morning (Good Ending) 7:22 White Space (Piano Version) 8:24 Lost Library 9:40 OMORI (Final Boss Theme)
notice how all the horrifying and bad memories songs feature mainly the violin? but when its comforting and a memory sunny needs to remember its the piano. Its showing the guilt and the need to feel and remember how warm and forgiving mari was in sunnys time of need
YEA! The bad memories are played only with Sunny's violin, and the good ones, with Mari's piano... but then... in the song "Final Duet" it is played with a violin and a piano, so this is both a good and a bad memory for sunny..
It was ahead of its time. Hell, at that time, every game was required to have a battlepass and skins. The sheer emotional value is something this new generation should know instead of microtransaction and the 300th reskin of Call of My Mommies Credit Card: Modern Warfare.
9:40 The final boss is the literal definition of the quote "You are your own worst enemy. It is your negative thoughts that hold you back, nothing else."
"Sunny. What is in front of you is born from the mourn and sorrow you endured. That is the manifestation of all your regrets. That is born from you. Your own shadow. And you have to accept it for regain your own persona."
DUET Is sad and happy in my opinion. Its just the fact that you do have to let things go- thats the hardest part of memories. The song begins with piano and ends with violin showing the fact that sunny is now alone. But the happy part is showing that Mari is now in a good place and sunny learns to take that in. In the end sunny has his memories and yes, they are sad looking back on but hr has them and hes glad he does(my opinion(s)
@@homoseggxual It's been some months since omori... Feels like it won't leave my mind. Whatever this experience is, it is terrifyingly beautiful! Hope i get a partner like Mari😁
Dumb comments I have 0:00 the most beautiful song in any ost ever. Period. 7:22 the way it subtly speeds up/slows down at different points makes me think the player of the piano is trembling, maybe crying. 8:24 feels like Minecraft music and this is from someone who’s been playing Minecraft since very early on so it’s very nostalgic. 9:40 maybe not as climactic as most rpg final bosses, but damn if this isn’t the most suiting song for Omori. It’s in only violin too
Just because it's not epic and grandiose does not mean it's not as climactic as other final bosses ost. I actually think it's one of the most climactic ones, because of how much it was built up to, it essentially is the culmination of all of Sunny's guilt, fear, and trauma, and the melody carries all that pain onto you perfectly. Honestly I've probably never before felt such strong emotions because of a video game, I'm probably going to become obsessed with Omori the same way I did with Evangelion a few years ago
man honestly, the good ending (good morning) is really nice because its a song to relieve of pain, sadness, guilt, etc. this time everything is going to be okay.
No game will ever be as iconic and sacred in my heart as Omori. The blatant disregard for the norms for video games and general safety from any controversial topics has made this game the best of this generation. Omocat turned away from the growing horde of mindless cash grabs and made one of the most emotional, terrifying yet beautiful works of art I have ever seen. God bless them, Omori will forever stay in my mind, and my heart.
am i the only one who smiled at the final duet? it made me happy finally mari has some peace knowing her brother will carry on and Sunny is remembering and accepting what happened and taking his happy memories as a motivator to push forward while not continuing to cling on to the old memories because now he's going to make new ones? my opinion but was surprised when everyone was crying.
Probably, but I think it's good you smiled. You got the whole point of the scene--it's a good thing, Sunny is finally accepting what happened, remembering how much his friends loved him, and moving on. But it's also so heartbreaking, knowing that Sunny's sister is gone for good and he will never have those times again...
me too when sunny ready his violin and looking at his eye full of purpose and no longer hollow i said to myself look at my boy he is ready to forgive himself and smile on whole final duet because its bittersweet
What I enjoyed most about this game is that it wasn't afraid to be emotionally raw or vulnerable. In my opinion, black space to the end is amazing in the sense that it didn't need a lot of dialogue or over the top actions to show the truth that was hidden for such a long time. I could feel connected with Sunny when he was gathering the pictures near the end and putting everything together. It was such a simple segment, but it was enough to make you feel something and at least understand the pain that the characters were holding on to for so long. Also, the music adds a new level of emotion onto the existing feelings already there. Kind of like figurative salt brushed in a wound. I felt that Omori's Boss Theme, Lost Library, and especially the Final Duet add more feeling overall to the player's experience. And for the Final Duet, it just encapsulates the waves of emotion running within the scenes of Mari and Sunny playing together for one last time. Everything about the last 1-2 hours of the game was so prominent and raw, and I feel that is something that will be remembered and cherished for almost anyone who experiences Omori for years to come.
@@terri4994 that is why lmao Ppl who haven't omor yet: how can such an upbeat and happy song be sad and emotional? Ppl who have omor: *crying intensifies*
I still think that "It Means Everything" is worthy of being on this. It invokes a human emotion that can only be described as a mix of hatred and sadness and I love it for that.
9:40 and 5:33 were two of the themes that made omori the most memorable gaming experience I’ve ever had (Keyword, themes). Omori is such an amazing game when it comes to its characters, lore and music it’s just aaaaaaa
I love how the violin sounds so emotional, but the piano seems to make things sound happier. As both a violin and piano player, I am obsessed with Final Duet!
A Home For Flowers (Daisy) just feels so ominous. It might just be because of the cutscene it had but something just feels off and it gives off the vibe of a happy memory before something tragic happens.
i just finished omori and i've been crying since the final duet. more than a hour passed since the ending and im still crying. (good ending tho yayyyhhhhhhhh 😭)
Since the violin may represent his own actions, or himself in general, omori is literally just using his own negative feelings against him. The final duet is him embracing his violin. Embracing himself
I disagree. You notice so many little narrative things you didn't on first playthrough. The hikkiomori route is its own experience. The WTF value - randomly chosen from 1 to 13 upon making a brand new save - dictates whether certain events or npcs show up or not. 1 having the least and 13 the most. Someone theorized that the WTF value is effectively Sunny's mental state with 1 being the least bad off and 13 being the worst. Honestly, I feel like it checks out.
I'm not one to be swayed by emotions but somehow, after playing the game I constantly have a certain feeling when listening to the soundtracks of this game. DUET is the only music I've experienced that have made me involuntarily smile. Even just remembering it in class is enough to make me want to lay back, close my eyes and smile and I try to remember the entirety of it.
the final duet made me cry so much, the game story is so depressing and the fact that Sunny and Basil had to hide they guilt for 4 years (sorry if my english is bad, it's not my native languege.)
This game will probably stay forever in my mind and if I ever have kids, I will recommend they try it. It shows how many people truly feel, and I would like if the family I ever created knows those feelings to help others and themselves and also because this game is just too good to not be played :D
с good morning то же самое do you remember и white space вызывают у меня смешанные, но скорее не самые приятные эмоции.. будто бы ранку на душе задела, но боль прошла очень быстро. я никогда не забуду omori, это действительно игра, которая заслуживает много внимания.
I think the reason why you only hear violon in the final boss theme is that it's actually sunny playing his violon. He's playing so he could remember the truth and fights his inner demons. The more is playing the violon, the more this instrument of guilt reach to him and make him remember more and more the tragic event.
It sucks how White Space (Piano Version) is included in one of the most out of pocket jump scare moments in White Space. Running around, finding Mari throughout the map and then she disappears as something flashes on screen. The eerie feeling as soon as she disappears is what makes me uneasy.
duet is double faced song for me, the first time i felled it happy, then the saddest song in the game and finally made me cry again because this game happened
I never played omori, but I heard some things. "OMORI" (final boss theme) is very understandable without playing this game. It shows stress, grief, and many other feelings
@@Watashinoakuma8312 damn ok. respectfully tho; if you have the time to watch youtube videos you have the time to get that money. don't let money dictate what you get to experience in this life, but also don't let it control you LMAO THAT DON'T MAKE SENSE??
No puedo escuchar el tema de OMORI, ni siquiera he terminado el juego pero transmite tanto esa canción que varias veces he llorado tan solo con escucharla
I Think A home for flowers (both) is the most upbeat song out of all the 8 songs, the melody its really good, the sounds that both makes... just has a sense.. of 'safeness' if you ge what i'm saying.
in my opinion, Good morning is much sadder than Duet because OMORI is a sad game not because of the story, but because everything worked out for Sunny, he’s done well and in general congratulations, but you’re not him, those, unfortunately, in the real world, it will not be possible to cope in three days. It is not a fact that you will succeed at all
Fun fact! Toby Fox is actually apart of the jukebox music team for OMORI! :) which is probably why some undertale\deltarune songs sound like his work. He helped with em! A very talented man!
@@cavitybun thats not a fun fact thats a fact. THATS NOT A FUN FACT I "do not swear" BELIEVE IN ME ITS ANOTHER TOBY FOXX AHHHHHHHHH -the not smartest nerd 🏃♀️💨
@@cavitybun wym some undertale/deltarune songs sound like his work? didn’t he compose all of them? and only one song in omori, i don’t think he helped with any others
