On Any Other Day (R-Rated Version) 

One thing to note, it sounds like children (electronic voices) singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY at the fade-out. So it's the miserable guy's birthday, which makes it even funnier (it would be ok on any other day besides his birthday). Fantastic video of a great, underappreciated song from a great, underappreciated album.

You know, this is one of those rare hidden gems that really deserves 0 dislikes.

The Police's second album is so underrated, it gets lost amid the brilliance of Zenyatta Mondatta and Synchronicty, but it is an absolute pop masterpiece.

Back when I first heard this song, i was 10 years old. I always imagined sort of a "Batman"-esque character. I added a baseball "bat" for good measure!

Thanks. I used 1/6 scale (or 12") figures. I picked up the guitar and bass at a local record store. I made the drums out of a can, some spray paint lids and a wire coat hanger.

Stewart should have sang more Police songs - he has a terrific voice!

I think a wombat is a marsupial. I know it's some sort of creature native to Australia... but I think this interpretation of a wombat is VASTLY more entertaining. Also, I LOVE this video!

One of the GREATEST short songs EVER MADE!!!!!

Not only is this very cleverly done, but it may actually be the first time in written history that "gratuitous action figure sex" has been used in a sentence! I read somewhere, years ago, that when Stewart formed The Police, this sort of goofy, whimsical sound is the style he intended for the band. Sting's more serious song writing style prevailed & the rest is history. I'd be curious to know if Stewart has seen this video. I'm sure he would love it!

Regatta de blanc was the first album i heard, on an old cassette ( played till it disintigrated) and the best in my opinion. Could listen endlessly to this album; an absolute revelation. To say they were tight is sn understatement.

Great song, one of my faves from The Police. I think it could easily be the real video clip of the song!! :D my congrats. It reminded me of Frank Zappa's Baby Snakes DVD (I saw it a lot some time ago), I don't know if you have seen it, but there are tons of this type of animation, only with clay instead of figures.

Very creative and fun video! Stewart's songs didn't always get the best treatment, so I'm glad someone out there did something for this song. It is a blast of Punk on Regatta de Blanc which helped balance out all the high falutin' Reggae-ish Jazz (which I loved too) and pristine Pop.

Well done sir! Was this done stop-motion like Ray Harryhausen or Mike Jittlov? The video was amusing, interesting and it tied into the song - not at all like most modern music videos. However, you did have one flub: Stewart Copeland plays drums with a traditional grip, not a matched grip.
