Hi, can you share your thoughts on " U R My GURU.... Am Not A Person From Film Industry & Not To Aware Of It Fully.... U R GURU For Comman Man Also... U R The Reason To Develop My THINKING ABILITY...." It's really excitement to come across like you person. Thank you.
To be honest... I'm here after the RCM promo tribute for Mani sir... that was an amazing tribute.. Those chunks were taken from here and very well put together..💙
I've always lived in Mumbai but as a tamilian i discovered Tamil Cinema through Mani Ratnam movies. Alaipayuthey, Nayagan, Roja and Bombay were the first few I saw. Discovered the others later. That unsaid magic only he has brought to screen for me wherein the acting, camera angle/shot, bgm and editing just seems like never seen before. The Kamal Hassan scene in Nayagan where he sees his wife in the brothel for the first time (character bgms witnessed for the first time) then when the daughter asks the father to leave before her husband comes and he sees his grandson. In Thalapathy, when both the Mother and son turn to look at the train together, confrontation scene with the collector, Rajinikanth asking Shobana to leave. In Iruvar, when Aishwarya teases Mohanlal by hanging on to him at the hill top nd Mohanlal standing as the extra when his Mother sees him. Confrontations with Prakash Raj. In Dil Se, when Shahrukh sees Manisha again in Delhi. In Guru, when Abhishek looks at Vidya post confronting Mithun. The 360 degree scene and Buddha statue scene in Raavan. The hospital scene in Yuva where Vivek Oberoi follows Abhishek to get thrashed. So many more.
Very well acclaimed director.. Somehow seems to have lost midas touch in a decade and half. He is human too.. Most of his earlier films, each of them had impact of atleast 10 films put together. Each time u watch, your interpretation changes. Mouna ragam I watched so many times, each time new elements would come to me. Crazy. That's how classics will never bore you, no matter how many times u watch them
Blown out of proportion. He is one among the cini clicks in the cini field. That's all..Then what about Others like Sridhar, APN, Bantlu, சின்னப்பா Thevar, Kalagnanam...😮
Some tasteless guys saying rx 100 is the best movie ...you the guys first of all you should see mani sir, kamal sir, singeetam sir movies. JAI MANIRATNAM SIR ...
Am so happy to see this video, but at the same time I am very worried that Mani is no longer what he used to be. Kaatru Veliyadai and CCV were major disappointments and I was so sad RJ Balaji was totally wasted...hope he doesn't go the RGV way
@deeputhebest 24 films is a big thing fool😂😂wat u expect a director to make 3 films per year....every body has failure...nobody can be successful all the time....i dont understand what is wrong in movie getting failed if it is made for 3 years nd if so happened we should forget all his previous works nd name him as a not a good director...
My goodness this bharadwaj is so tamil obsessed it is south film companion why can't he make something on ram gopal varma. The real game changer of Indian cinema.
Dialogues delivery story it's branches shouldn't get spoiled. Historical movies......mmmmmthis is not ramayanam mahabharatham. Reeled .but. PS is not like that. No reel .I doubt nowdays actors way of dialogue delivery.i started worrying about it.
08:45 - Even Mani Ratnam would agree K. Balachander had broken that wall in the 70s. I am afraid that Mani Ratnam really doesn't deserve this level of praise. Compared to directors of world cinema, Mani hasn't achieved much. A lot of his films rely on familiar methods. His films are all mainstream, contrary to what people are saying, and have therefore not lived up to the hype on either side. That is, the films haven't lived up to win international awards, nor have they consistently generated rave people reviews.
Maniratnam is not an arthouse filmmaker. He's one rare filmmaker who mixes mainstream cinema with art. And the results are amazing. You don't find many filmmakers like that, who mix mainstream elements and art in right proportions.
Whatever you say that's fine.,, but kannathil muthamittal, thalapathy, nayagan, mounaragam, alaipayuthey, bombay, roja, aayutha ezhuthu all these movies I've watched over and over many more times especially Nayagan, Thalapathy, Mouna Ragam, Alaipayuthey and will watch more and more times in my lifetime, Mani sir movies aren't fixed for a particular time zone or decades or eras they're forever
You deserve to watch national geography and discovery. And you can't deal with human relations and emotions.so why you're wasting time in thing which not related to your kind.
Pranita Morisetty but maddy had most of the role..something more equal like ayutha ezuthu or CCV will be kind of interesting I mean the amount of presence
