On Patrol With An Awful Constable 

Asking "hows things!?" to a homeless person shows a disgusting lack of professionalism behaviour it takes in today's world

I was a cop for 13 years (last 6 as a detective in PPU) and I met tons of these type of plod….old, overweight, uneducated and angry. Still carrying the rank of PC after years in the job because they have nothing going for them. They have little thinking ability so they go through life doing as little as possible and you better believe that they will stitch you up if you hurt their feelings or show them up for being the fools that they are. We called them uniform carriers because that is all they do. Think of it this way - if you were involved in a real emergency and needed help quickly; would that example of a cop fill you with confidence? I am writing a book about police corruption and my experience as an attempted whistleblower. Look out for it

Palmer showed his true colours in the first 30 seconds, tried his best to pretend to be decent but couldn’t keep up the charade. Good to see he was able to stop the elderly person from riding his bike though. The people of Farnham were then able to relax in the knowledge that they were safe. So let’s get this right…..his ‘patrol’ consists of 25 minutes walking three times round the same shopping centre and then back to fill up his fat gut. That’s a days work right there.

The arrogance of the second officer in particular was "especially apparent"!! His attitude was dismissive, and it's this type of nonchalance that will engender very little confidence with certain members of the police force, where the public is concerned!!

The sad thing is they think they are heroes and give themselves medals but in reality people cant stand the site of them.

Did you notice how the staff in the shops when told 'there was an auditor' (like he was some monster out of space) by the constable chose to not negatively engage with the auditor and respected his rights, this telling, because it's the UK Police themselves who aggravate every single auditing situation.

Whilst AA cut no slack with this interaction, overall it was a very useful and interesting take on what a beat bobby does, or at can do on their duties.

Pretending he's concerned for the homeless, just a PR excercise cos on camera,would probably have moved him on if not being filmed. Why didn't he buy the guy a meal while he was in Mac's if he was concerned ? Nob !

These beat cops are the useless types that other cops don't trust to work with so they send them out on the beat and hope they will eventually quit or just stick it out until they retire.

It's not about obstructing, raising a reaction or harassing public servants: its about identifying tyrants and professional conduct that falls short of what is expected. In this case the two police officers at the gate need to be retrained on their policies of engagement with members of the public.

He's saying you can make a complaint to Professional Standards. It would just get passed back to the police, they will investigate themselves like always and find nothing wrong.

AA prevented quite a bit of crime in this one - if he wasn't following the cop, the homeless guy would have been either "moved on " or fined for vagrancy, and the people riding on the pavements would have been given on the spot fines - no money extorted thanks to AA 👍
