Great on-site footage of our minimal windows in action. The large sliding glass doors to the front of the new build home are huge and create an impressive sliding glass wall to the ground floor.
Here is them testing the doors out for the first time.

additionally, I'd be very curious to know how many trucks or Wheels are on each end of each sliding glass panel they're bearing a mighty heavy load......

We normally advise that a minimal windows installation would cost about £1,000 per m2, approximately depending on location and glass specification. The minimal windows® system uses stainless steel wheels installed in paired ‘carriages’ in the base of each sliding door. We use at least two for every pane and a minimum of 1 carriage for every 100kg of weight it will be carrying. If the sliding panes weight over 500kg we recommend automation . how is the ceiling directly above this supported? are there exterior columns? if there is no additional support, how do you avoid the risk of the entire opening not sagging from above?

The surrounding framework is made up of timber and steel - usually when we install sliding glass doors of this size we need a solid structure to fix into.

These minimal window sliding doors are 8853mmx2890mm and 6.4 m2 per pane. Do let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you for your response. In general, minimal windows sliding glass doors can hold up to 8.5m2 of glass per sliding pane with a maximum height of 4m.

This is a video of her testing the sliding doors prior to the automation being connected. We have a maximum weight of 500kg per sliding pane for manual operation and any weight over this has to be automated for ease of use.
