I’m just now finding this. This is GOLD. Especially with Afterlife coming out. I’ve never cried over a celebrity, but watching this makes me realize how much I really loved Harold Ramis as Egon.
God this just makes me love Ghostbusters even more. I had an aunt that bought me sooo much Ghostbusters stuff its ridiculous. I saw her maybe 3 or 4 times a year and without fail she had something Ghostbusters for me everytime. The trap, the backpack, the firehouse with slime (still pissed me mom took it and never let me use the slime). To this day when I see her (she's 75+) she mentions Ghostbusters. Last time I saw her she had the rerelease of the game for me on ps4. She called me gf and asked if I had a ps4 cause she saw it at Walmart. God I love that woman
Absolutley incredible. What starts of thinking you'll only see the back of the Ecto-1A turns into a full tour meet n greet. That security guard is a legend. No-way that would happen these days sadly. Thank you for uploading and sharing this. It's wonderful seeing some behind the scenes footage.
I like when the dad tells them not to make any noise going up the stairs, and then there's that one burst of sound effects from the Kenner gun, and the dad says "No, no, no."
I kept my mouth open throughout the video. I was 7 years old when GB2 premiered, I can not imagine what it would have felt to be there, see and touch the Ecto 1A, meet the actors, be on the scene !!! I would like to know everything about this tour! . I really got inside the skin of the one who recorded. I also would not stop to said thank you to everyone. thanks for uploading this video
I'm italian, born in 1985, I grew up with ghostbusters. Now, seeing all the cast there behind the scenes give me an incredibile emotion. I wonder how much incredibile It could have been for me watching videos like this as a child!
For those kids, those Ghostbusters are as real and as wonderful as their best dreams could possibly make true. Those actors & production crew were just great.
How times have changed. Everyone back then were just so much more relaxed (even during such a big scale production) and also better parents too. My god, one of those kids could have been me :O The whole home video aesthetic really makes you all warm and fuzzy inside. I'm not exaggerating when i say that i truly love everyone involved in this video. I'm so thankful this was recorded and uploaded, to experience it as we were there :)
Agreed, anyone who says time travel is impossible never looked at old photo albums or family videos. I'm not even related to these people and yet that didnt stop that supersonic headrush of being transported to the past. If i could go back in time it would probably be to the 80s. Before everyone had a giant chip on their shoulder, Saturday morning cartoons, music videos, and playing outside with friends...
How frigin cool is this. Peter macnicol was in there too, along with the baby who was Oscar.... This is the coolest video I've seen in a long time. They were just all so dam chill
The pure joy these kids must have been feeling at that very moment. I would have been just about the same age around that time, and already a Ghostbusters fan, so I would have been freaking out, too! So cool to see the main cast being so nice to the kids. These are memories you don't forget, for sure, and to have it captured on videotape is something else...
Such a great video. These kids got to do something so special. I had the honor of meeting Dan Aykroyd a few years back at a Crystal Skull Head vodka signing, and he was just as awesome then as he was in this video.
This is the best video ever. Those kids must have had the best day. All the Ghostbusters seemed ace and that security guard was a legend. This made me smile
Watching this over and over again gives me always goosebumps. What a historic moment this must have been, especially after realising what this was all about. True awesome seeing the actors in their great days doin‘ what they love most - movie making. So charming how they react - today such a visit would be impossible i guess. Ivan Reitman‘s masterpiece in the making ! Rest in Peace and thanx for movies like this.
For 11 min and 54 seconds I had a smile on my face! Wishing I was one of those little kids! Really amazing video! Thank you for sharing this incredible moment with the world
Oh wow!! That was so cool that they got to meet ALL four Ghostbusters . I honestly thought they were going to meet another actor portraying Egon , Not THE Harold Ramis
Indeed they are, I feel very privillaged that I got my picture taken with Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, William Atherton (Walter Peck) Ivan and Jason Reitman at Ghostbusters Fan Fest in June 2019. I also got Dan and Ernie's autographs. While I was waiting my turn in line for pictures/ autographs, I was really taken with down to Earth everyone was with the fans. The cherry on the sundae for me was also getting my picture taken with Real Ghostbusters voice actors Dave Coulier ( Second actor for Dr. Peter Venkman) and Maurice Lamarche (actor for Dr. Egon Spengler), I later had them both sign the picture I had taken with them.
Okay, who's an adult that the kid came right out of you when you saw the cast, man even today I would have been like, holy shit, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray, Peter Mc, holy shit just wow.
Freakin´ awesome!! Totally loved this, the kids met their heroes on real-life!! How cool is that!? Thanks for sharing, as a GB fan since my childhood enjoyed this too much.
I do T know if I commented on this yet or not but this is just so cool. Iam 35 so probably the same age as these kids now and I lovvvvved Ghostbusters.
Our Legacy Of Director Ivan Reitman Continues Since Reitman Gone And The Orginal Three Main Ghostbusters Alive And Ghostbusters Afterlife Already On Blu_Ray And The Ultimate Collection Out This Video Stay's Forever
But really why shouldn't they? Unless you're JJ Abrams trying to keep everything a secret, who cares about the minimal spoilers a video like this would reveal. If you don't want spoliers don't look em up. And for the people who do like spoliers, how much excitement would this have generated if there were an online to post it on back then? Better than any trailer they could have made.
@@billyte1265 This is a joke, right? People still get spoiled when not trying to. Star Wars and Marvel spoilers are always in article names, recommended RU-vid thumbnails spoil them...and then there are the losers who intentionally go out of their way to spoil things (Snape Kills Dumbledore, for example). So yeah, it's a big deal.
Yeah, the studios probably weren't as concerned back then, if only because a consumer-grade video camera was as big as a small motorcycle. There wasn't a chance they'd have been able to sneak one onto the set unnoticed and without prior approval of what they were doing.
Thank you for posting this is so cute. I’ve worked on sets. I know that actors are nicer to little kids but they were really sweet and played along. I love that Dan kinda felt bad he couldn’t do more because of the slime and Harold coming over to talk to the boys was so sweet. They were well behaved kids. They (or you if the poster of this video is the kid)waited for Bill to finish talking to the crew.
Oh my god this is incredible behind the scenes footage!!!! Have you showed this video to Violet ???? I'm sure she would love to see her father in this!
This should have been on one of the blu-ray releases, a small but cute documentary on the set of GBII as witnessed by children. Thanks for sharing this!!!
Got to MEET and shake the hands of THE Ghostbusters, ON SET and while they are IN UNIFORM~! Ray (danny) is even covered in Slime~!! so it's probably the scene after he gets possesed and 'hosed' lol THIS IS AMAZING~! *Dream come true* for those kids no doubt~
Who else can see the difference in the world back then? Even the honest shaking of the camera with the low resolution and all. That’s old school! That’s real! That’s how cool it was back in the day!Ecto took my breath away because it’s shot with a cam corder and the interaction with the cast was so genuine.
I’d have been about the same age as those kids at that point. I think my head would have exploded and I’d have just cried with emotional and sensory overload if I’d found myself in their shoes. Lucky lads, what a memory and piece of footage 👻
Wow. Just wow. Thank you for uploading this. For all of us who were that age at that time and didn't get to go and meet them, we just got to live that moment vicariously through this video. Thank you again. Amazing, timeless stuff. Ghostbusters forever.
This is amazing .When I went to new york as a kid ,I tried to call the ghostbusters while there .I think even at 10 years old I would of been blown away meeting them .
What a great video, and so awesome to see everybody cast included having fun and being cool. That security guard was wickedly awesome for doing that hope he got a really good thanks after that, the kids would never forget that for sure.
