Nobody "practices" homosexuality- they are gay, bi, transgendered, or straight. They are who they are. It's interesting, that before the intrusion of religions like Christianity and Islam, gays were most often accepted. This isn't "traditional" culture. This is the intrusion of Western and Islamic religious groups. I can't repeat this enough- those religions are not traditional African culture- they are Imperialist in nature. Get over it, people. Love is love. If they are two adults who love each other, leave them alone. It has nothing to do with your life. Move on.

Homosexuality is legal in far more countries than were stated. I like how accepting the people interviewed were in general, even if they disagreed with it, they believe the people should be able to live the lives they want to.

It's rather true that Europeans brought homophobia to Africa. Just to mention the anti-gay laws the Englishmen introduced in their African colonies. Before that, many African peoples and tribes didn't have any problem with homosexuality. So it's pretty funny if African politicians say that it was African to suppress homosexuals. In fact it's a pretty post-colonialist behaviour and exactly what the Europeans wanted them to do.

Why is it that some of the straight people are always ready to quote the scriptures on homosexuality, but doesn't the bible also say that fornication, murder, theft, and backbiters are also a sin? If the thought of gay marriage equality makes you in any way angry or upset, why don't you think about something else? You are unaffected by the joy and happiness of total strangers who now have the same options as you have enjoyed all along. Why should you be denied the same rights everyone else has? Skip your bigoted minister and go instead to a psychiatrist. Homosexuality is no longer classified as a mental disorder, but it can still lead to denial and manifest itself in anti-gay advocacy, and such a condition can be treated with therapy. Does that possibly describe you?

Sexuality is a spectrum... The straightest man can have some attraction to another man and the gayest man on Earth can be attracted to a women. Africa, as a whole, should have better things to focus on such as making Africa unified. Homosexuality shouldn't be a topic. Wow…this news story is an eye opener! It is heart warming to hear some Africans in Kenya and Nigeria that are fair-minded and can make critical judgements in support of LGBT rights. After watching this report, one gets a better sense of what's going on at the street level with young Africans. There's a lot more that needs to be done but there is hope Africa will come to embrace ALL it's people. Fantastic reporting.

The bible was written 1600 years ago. The word homosexuality didn't exist then. The word now translated as homosexuality was originaly translated as "Effeminate". There is many heterosexual men who act effeminate. By that standard there are straight men going to hell for their disposition. The Koine Greek word used is Malakos which literally means "soft ones". This has also been used to describe the Aristocrisy. It literally should mean "men not willing to bend their back to hard work".

The interviewed guy is self-conflicted as hell .. at first he says he has friends who are gay (which suggests he does not identify himself as gay) but later at 4:24 he seems to have blurted out that he is gay .. So sad how hard he's trying to conceal his sexual identity while struggling with his religious beliefs ..

The Bible has close to 362 rules addressed to heterosexuals and 6 regarding homosexuality. Heterosexuals require a lot of supervision and need reining in. This is an observation of the great singer-entertainer Lynn Lavner in her 1992 CD "BUTCH FATALE." I have paraphrased it here.

Your Biblical notions about homosexuals and homosexuality are interesting, deadly, and profane by inference. Because many are slaves to ideology, reading widely and traveling out of our comfort zones helps expand our minds. White supremacy is pernicious on many levels, including on the topic of homosexualities. i once worked in an african muslin country for several months, one day i was sitting waiting someone, an old man beside me stated to talk to me and after some time he suggested me trying a massage in a hotel, i politely laughed it away, i thought it was about some girl service but finally he said directly that i should go with HIM in the hotel, he was talking in public with crowds around us, that was not something i had expected, I never thought i would mention this topic in africa just to be careful, that was a crazy experience

Homosexuality, bi sexuality, and hetero, have long been around long before man even showed up on the planet.. Current studies, conclude, a woman subjected to a certain kind and amount of stress during pregnency, can result in a chromosone in men, to make them gay.. There are way to many variables to determine this.. Suffice it to say, it is not the gay's fault, he has as much control over the color of his eyes.. Meanwhile others use it a means of power control, hatred, divide and conquer.. Men and woman vary widely on the sexuality ruler.. to totally gay or straight to a sliding scale to some where in between. and the scale point slides around during life.. Other studies show, some degree of bisexuality is necessary for society to function. It is not a black/white situation.. There are a LOT more pressing problems than, who sleeps with who..
