Today I also spent the whole day to service my motorhome generator, 4KYFA26100P. I cleaned gunks over the jet of the carburetor, but it still won't work. So now I am thinking either the spark plug or the solenoid valve could be bad because the gererator still cranks. Your video is very timely for me, because I am lookng for a socket size for the spark plug. Thanks!
you are a goddess ! ! the irony that your name is Champion does not escape me here ! I have the exact generator and there are no expletives that were not used trying to remove the plug. To make it even WORSE, once you loosen it, do NOT unscrew the plug completely INSIDE the socket as you normally would as this backs the socket and your driver out to the point that it is wedged in that ridiculous small spot AND THEN if the gods really want to torment you, you can not access the piece to switch from unthreading the plug to the tightening it position. You are potentially left with the socket drive and plug permanently STUCK IN THE HOLE half out between the frame and generator ! ! you MUST remove and install the plug by hand for any chance at success. One of those tiny little ratchet drives that is just a knob really, no handle at all is useful. I have NEVER had such a frustrating and annoying battle with a spark plug, even seized in ones were easier to deal with ! I am so happy to discover that IT AIN'T ME it's the plug
a 13/16 spark socket in 3/8 drive is the ticket w/ 3/8 drive ratchet is all that's needed. My socket lined right up, but some of you may need to loosen the heat shield to get the socket on as the hole in the shield isn't centered properly.
It is a pain to replace that spark plug, my solution was I drilled a large hole in the pan to allow me to use a long extension to get a direct shot at the spark plug. Problem solved!
did you have to go through any of the frame of the generator bracket or did you offset the hole and if so where and by how much. I contemplated that and decided it would not be easy to get it right

Ummm, I wasted 5 minutes of my life because I thought there was some special way to take this out. I can’t believe you couldn’t figure out that was a 13/16 I’m sorry but holy crap. FYI, that is a common spark plug size specially, in Older engines.
well genius YOU obviously are of limited experience I guess . There are no less than SEVEN sizes of spark plug socket to start with. PLUS this plug is in a HOLE and there is no way to eyeball it, PLUS PLUS, a socket of the actual right size BUT with too thick of a wall will NOT fit, PLUS PLUS PLUS, the angle of attack to so restricted as to be crazy hard first time so my dear, your arrogance is misplaced and unwarranted. You likely google what size spark plug does my diesel use !
