@@Glitchiz I found the damage loss really isn't that bad compared to the heals you gain. Probably 10% at most since with high crit rate vortex seems to get overridden by new procs which constantly happen. At least that's what it seemed like on dummy testing. The gain in heals was far more impactful than the damage from not running it. Imho.
@@CostelloDamian if u put on vulnerability amplifier mod on crossbow it becomes 16% bonus dmg with bullseye not 8, plus the xbow gives u an additional 30% bonus crit rate on enemies that are marked as well for 10 seconds so it becomes a nice little dmg burst that helps feed ur crits for frost vortex.
glad i didn't stray too far. one thing i did add was the heal mod when triggering vortex. i basically get infinite ammo and heals as long as there are no one hit kills coming out. i got distracted and got killed by thirst boss. XD. i also don't have the gear set because i'm a gamble addict XD. so doing a combo of 3 piece falcon and one 2 piece of another along with frost tactical vest.
@@PlayGamerGO i was stacking all crit mods. using cryoblast for the weapon... i have however switched to shelterer/heavyduty and can vouch it has more punch.
@@Gossen02 3 shelterer/2HD/Frost tactical vest. crit rate mods w/ talents/frostvortex suffix. obliterate for mask. cryo for weap. critrate frost vrtex food (honey glazed ham i believe) when i first tried after patch today i saw 28k on the dummy with just food. but i think it was a fluke cause i havent seen it again. however the power of the aoe is great for crushing waves of enemies. i can sit at the portals and single handedly take care of the adds at lea final boss. i do seem to reload more. and im having a hard time deciding between going in accuracy and stability. not sure what feels better there. but overall its not a bad setup.
Great video, but you should do your demos with steel ammo since most people will be running steel ammo until last couple phases due to the acid used in crafting tungsten ammo. For the solo/duos out there, I understand the 3+ member groups have zero resource issues but us solos do lol.
crit rate is highest priority until a certain point once u get high enough to start hitting enough frost procs u dont need any more after that from there id focus on crit dmg, or status dmg after that
yeah totally i'm just waiting on a tad more starchrom to get the required weapons etc.. to make my other builds the best they can be so hang tight they will come eventually lol.
Can you explain why you went with so much Crit DMG as opposed to RATE? I'm in the middle of building this build and if RATE procs the vortex, shouldn't I be putting Talent Mods on instead of Violent?
you can do either or. depends on how high your status dmg is on all your other mods. you wanna focus on either 1 or the other. because it unlimited ammo u crit allot anyways so having more dmg from your dits is always nice the frost vortexs will always spawn either way. totally up to you and your play style.
@@Reklaimart unfortunately not. u can place them next to each other.. also make use of the loadouts page.. u can save entire loadouts and just carry the select few weapons and armor u need for your different builds and then u can instantly switch entire builds on the fly.
nah stability has nothing to do with grouping and everything to do with gun drift. on pc u can counter gun lift easily its the bullet spread from accuracy thats more important.
Basically my unstable bomber setup I just have to change my chest, 1 mod and weapons. I'm curious if Lonewolf for the extra stacking crit dmg would be best or the status dmg.
@@konnosaeko9874 if ur static king status dmg and using the abyss glance then lone wolf may be better haven’t fully tested it yet but for icy rain shelter beat out lone wolf every time for me
Nice build. If you are running a mod that means you can't hit weakspots does that not disable the cradle perk you've picked for hitting weakspots though
@@BuckarooBanzai- u already can they briefly opened servers back up but mine filled up almost instantly again lol so now they r full im sure once the season wipes there will be a bit of a cleanse and servers will open up again
Great one! Although I'm running Shrapnel, I'm interested to see what you'd suggest for Power Surge if you end up making a video on it. I kinda switch between those 2 builds on a whim.
i will be making updated builds for all my previous build videos soon just need to wait till i get enough starchrom to make them the best they can be lol
I started with Corrosion and still really REALLY enjoy it. I managed to get a resting crit dmg bonus of 140% without buffs so it hits like a truck before I get my stacking +200%ish extra crit dmg. I picked up the Outer space to keep my build on theme and use it as my side piece when I need to outrange or get better accuracy than the shotgun. I've somehow managed to get icy Rain to 3 stars and maxed out the Fire master Wish card so have 3 pcs of shelterer at 2 stars before I've even pulled the blueprints yet. With the starred up key item chest I think I'll be looking quite happy with the icy rain as I'm already packing a LOT of crit.
Why not use the mod that heals you when your vortex dissipates? Seems like it'd be great for sustain and being able to stand there and keep damage going seems like it'd outweigh the 4% vuln?
@@jakemydawg4720 I mean it doesn’t rly matter because if u have the energy u can reset and respec ur memetic as many times as u want so just unlock what u need in order to build something and then once it’s built respec and use those points for something else
indeed. i tested with a full set of Lone wolf first and shelter set did more every time. the elemental dmg was just too much of the overall dmg for the crit boost from lone wolf to be effective.
@@kitla6947 it wouldn’t be a total waste either way because eventually you’ll get the abyse glance which can do higher dps and def uses the shelter set.
@@zipnn I have 1 mod with vortex dmg the rest is all crit dmg… so not sure what ur talkin about lol if I get a better mod with crit instead of vortex I’ll be switching it lol maxing crit dmg is def better for this particular build
@@Glitchiz You are running full shelter. You are also using some armor mods that gives vortex damage. You using jellyfish deviation. My understanding of icy rain is basicly just ignore vortex and just use that mechanic as a "free unlimited ammo". I am pretty sure building it like that should net you same peak dps without even using a deviation. Its a unlimited shoot build/no reload build, whatever "max damage" you are doing, is not really important cause if you wanted to you could have it say 160million, it will just take you some time, the DPS is the important part though, and 50k dps with a deviation out is a little bit low(can still do any content in the game). It looks to me that you are progressing towards abyss glance, were you actually want shelter etc. I just think its bad to not mention that and then you advice shelter as the set to use for icy rain. When lonewolf and small changes in mods could prolly double your damage.
@@zipnn I don’t main frost vortex. All I know is I have a full set of lone wolf and a full set of shelter and regardless of the mod combos I tried with what I had icy ran did more dmg every time with the shelter set equipped over the lone wolf set I tried both. Now that being said if I had better mods that focused specifically on crit dmg etc the. Yeah I’m sure I could make the lone wolf set do more. As a creator it’s hard to make perfect build videos for every single style lol cuz ur limited on what u can unlock
@@Glitchiz yeah i havent gambled either, just didnt think about some of the stuff being dropped, not crafted. Was thinking these guys had like 7-10 legendary weapon blueprints, lol
i have pretty good gear & stats on everything, what else i can do to increase the dmg? do i have to upgrade any other things or wait for the next season reset?
@@enryu5161 for shrapnel some good secondary perks would be crit dmg etc… so farming better gold mods that have crit dmg and stuff will help boost your dmg more as well
@@AzeriathGaming lone wolf is also great but slightly less max dmg. I tested both 4 piece sets and shelter out dps on every test by a little bit it was close though
No Problem, its fun hunting the items one after another. Your Guide is great and helped me decide which way to go. Im still missing a lot of items but the damage is great so far. :)@@Glitchiz
You could probably push frost damage a bit further with vortex multiplier. testing your build with the mod swapped bumps up that dps to 70k ish. but good build overall.
@@xuen4687 for icy rain crit rate and crit dmg is better because the build is rly only good when u can pull off the infinite ammo loop. If ur running say abyse glance though the assault rifle then u def wanna stack as much status dmg as u can
yes i made it after full release so its good. even after latest patch as well. the only thing that would be slightly different is if ur starting on a new hard mode server a couple of the cradle perks will be different because some of the choices changed. but as for the build itself like weapons and gear and mods. it can be exactly the same.
@@paulomiguel406 I mean bingo is a great weapon it’s good to pair with everything lol. I just wouldn’t waist the 8k starchrom on it when the crossbow and wildfire can do the exact same thing for way cheaper. But if u already have bingo then go for it! :)
Can you make a video about the best fastest start for each 10 levels (e.g.Level 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, etc..)? The game will be on phones soon. I'd like to do the strongest consist and most efficient start without making mistakes. For the best results, I'd like you to show a tree for your plan, for example, the Acid, why we need it ( all possible useful scenarios), and how to get it (all possible scenarios) in very brief short simple words. If you can save us tons of hours, by just following your simple instructions, as workers and those who don't have time for game, we would be very grateful for your efforts.
my ultimate beginners guide is already out for the first 15 lvls pretty much. as for every level after that simply focus on the main story quests and make sure u do your weekly commissions. those commissions alone will grant u 3-4 levels early on easy every week. plus a bunch of useful resources.
If you want to go full degen mode you just set your base up near the ocean and near trees, chop a bunch if trees and gather a ton of sea water, then fill all the stoves you can make with salt, takes 41 minutes to craft all 5 queued items, so now you go do content for 40 minutes then you return and refill them, rinse and repeat. Technically you can do this until level 50 in phase 1, and doing it until level 30-35 is incredibly easy.
@Glitchiz that's dumb I hate that they do that... I mean I am a content creator... I've got 2 vids for once human that have a few thousand views lol thanks for the info
@@TurnTheRage theres several members that arent long term partners but are at least in the content creator program that i know of that have less than a couple thousand subs. they accept all sizes.

Good video! I just wish you would show exactly where to find all the items showcased, just a map pic with a location and a short description is all i need, as every time you mention a mod/recipe/weapon I have to google each and every item to see where I can find them, and the wiki for this game is terrible.
literally just google once human interactive map. there's like 3-4 of them people have made that show the exact location of every mysterious chest every accessory every recipe attachment etc... its all there. thats what everyone uses.
