The fact that Stone is basically the hero in this show. He knew everything but instead of just not telling anyone he decided to tell everyone and save them all. What a stone.
@@Fernsaur My guess is that he's still physically restrained to being a mute rock, so maybe what he did was that most he could since he only had so much time to write the notes.
I mean we got a bad ending. Airy was killed, the last season 2 contestants are now trapped on the planet and since Airy died after Bryce was transported there, Liam's best friend who helped him throughout all the trouble will be left there to die.
The episode is called “Self-Titled” because YOU decide how you feel about it, what it means to you, you’re the ONE to make the decision of what their futures are
Sad things about the ending: -Airy died -Liam is stuck forever until he dies -Everyone of _The Plane_ is stuck until they all die (which we know at least Charlotte will eventually) -Bryce is back on _The Plane_ -Liam is forced to either watch his friends all slowly die or figure out how the computer works (which may be implied canon depending on how you interpret the ending scenes) -Texty died alone in a corner because Liam couldn’t bring himself to tell them they were going to die until it was too late -Liam can only get back here by brute force -Everyone but Bryce and Liam will likely not use the UM Radio and will all go to the afterlife without knowing Airy died or that there’s a way to go back -Texty likely isn’t in _The Waiting Room_ since their computer died before (or at least was implied to) and they didn’t go there then. Plus, when Texty runs the kill command, their laptop comes with them, so they’re not just a floating textbox like they are on _The Plane_ which is… odd -Folder reappeared on his own laptop right before it got smashed to bits. (Athough, with the two digital contestants, what would’ve happened if their home laptops were already destroyed? Would they just go nowhere? Or would they actually go to _The Waiting Room_ ? Also, why does Texty, a text box on a laptop, have a _Waiting Room_ ? Does this imply they can go to the afterlife?) -Cheesy Hfj can’t use any of these characters again without changing the ending of ONE (except for Abstracty or Charlie I guess) (Or technically a non-contestant) -Circle with a Mole is forever trapped back in Circle, and will likely be chased down by Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle and Circle after they notice he’s there (which I’m sure they will suddenly and sporadically do with the clapping sounds suddenly stopping instantaniously) Happy things anout the ending: -Julien’s okay -Charlie’s okay -Taylor’s okay That’s it
@@username5155 i mean yea you are right, contant lense is probably in the trash and airline food probably fell from the sky into the ocean, Bassy is probably fine tho they either went back to use or up for rent.
I think probably the most shocking thing about airy’s death is that it didn’t matter if Liam was there or not, airy still would have fallen on that rock and died either way, meaning that the final 7 contestants of ONE were always doomed to be stuck there forever
Airy took reeds from the second bed to raise Liam's headrest and he'd need to remake a bed for himself. Compassion killed the man thought to be heartless.
No, Airy would probably get back again eventually. The reason he took like 7 months to get back to them is because he slipped and died, he spent all that time trying to get back on his planet. It would've been no different, which is why Liam sent him to the Plane.
airy doesn’t do what he did for evil, he did it because he has some sort of mental issues, due to being disconnected from reality(literally) for such a long time. In his mind, he did nothing wrong.
10:13 I just realised something. Backpack did not send Airy to the plane. As you can see, there is a radio and 2 seats. This means that yes, Airy did die, and is currently in the waiting room. The plane is what it looks like to him. This means that, according to what we see, the waiting room is what matters to you most. This means that because Airy spent so much time creating one, that its the only thing he cares about.
i honestly feel like the ending is so... poetic. the fact that airy's waiting room was the plane, the fact that airy's waiting room didnt have another person, liam stuck working on the computer, a person having SUCH AN IMPORTANT ROLE DYING SO SUDDENLY, this is just a rollercoaster of emotions.
Liam's waiting room also didn't have anyone or anything, it was just normal. Bryce actually had the neighborhood he grew up in and his sister in the waiting room, that probably portrays that Liam didn't actually have anything to loose 😢
Cheesy I don't know if you will be able to see this comment amidst the sea of the rest, but I really want to commend you and the entire team at how absolutely phenomenal this entire series is. I'm somebody who only recently got into Object Shows within the past month or so. I've seen the major ones and I have seen a couple of more niche ones, and while there is talent abundant in all of them, I thought for sure I knew the gist of this one before starting. You masterfully used such a niche medium in order to create an entirely unique and original story and the subject of Object Shows is imperative to the soul of ONE. It's not just objects doing things humans could do. It toys with the format. It toys with the tropes and ideas people have come to expect and it subverts them and is so so incredibly put together and thought provoking. You should be proud. Everyone involved should be so incredibly proud at what you have been able to create. I hope there are so much more endeavors in your future, but if for whatever reason ONE is the only thing you'll get to make, either way it is something special. I can't sing its praises enough. You are so amazing.
I also realized this series has come full circle. Liam starts and ends his journey at a computer. Edit: I’m also realizing this series (or more specifically, this episode) is a metaphor for most object shows. Airy’s death mimics when an object show creator either cancels their show, gets cancelled, or dips from the Internet. Airy’s waiting room view being the Plane may also represent a creator after they stop working on the show, and realizing they left their fans in the dark. Liam finding his way back to the Plane and attempting to work the computer may either represent 2 things, either A: he is the creator attempting to come back and rework on the show, but failing due to not having enough motivation, or B: the fanbase either sad at the show’s premature ending or attempting to remake the show with their own sparkle. And the Plane’s forever residents can represent the pages running out of the hypothetical contestants’ stories, or again, the fanbase upset about the show’s cancellation. Cheesy is a genius, and I hope you know that. I love ONE and the OSC as a whole
As unsatisfying as ONE's ending is, I actually found it to be quite fitting/ironic. From the start of the season Liam's sole intention was to put an end to ONE once and for all, and while he did achieve that, he also prevented himself and the rest of the characters from ever returning back to the real world again. You could argue that it was all worth it in the end, as Liam's sacrifice will prevent anyone else from being hurt by Airy ever again. Theoretically, Liam could figure out a way to send the remaining contestants back to their normal lives using the code that Airy created. But there's no way out for himself now that the notes are gone.
As an addition to Rain Day's comment, Liam could use trial and error... just like Airy did to get to the place with the computer, eventually it would have to work at some point
@@BestBoi8 that’s true but it would take a really long time. as an alternative, if the plane inhabitants don’t want to wait for liam they could just die and end up in the waiting room together. then they could just travel across dimensions as a team until they find earth or airy’s dimension. either way i feel like it beats sitting in the plane
You know when a show is so good that it makes you suffer? This is one if those shows. I always die inside when i think abt this show and thats what makes it so good
I think all the contestants being trapped on the plane after Airy dies is meant to represent an object show being canceled. Object shows get canceled very often, and when that happens, all of the characters in the show are just left in limbo, no matter how intriguing they are. Cancellation could be caused by many things, such as something happening that stops the creator form working on the show, like what happened to Airy. Overall, I think this was a good finale for falling in line with what the rest of the show was trying to do, so kudos to the ONE crew for pulling it off.
It was so sad seeing Texty lose its final batteries. I could feel exactly what Liam was feeling, the moment where Liam realizes he’s completely alone in that world. Unless he starts communicating with the others on ONE, which I hope works for the best
@radishcatish Yeah I feel like if somehow Liam could hook texty up to the computer they would be able to figure out how it works and how to bring everyone back
top 10 things in one that people ignore: - subway seat has canonically seen multiple dead people - if all the batch 2 contestants had memories of their past, they're all sentient. even knives that go into people's hearts, towels that dry EVERYTHING, ect. - another one but i forgor - bryce prolly had tunnel vision which is how he never noticed texty - after texty says that there are probably a lot of inanimate objects that are actually alive, bryce stop sitting on his chair
Personally at first I was on everyone elses page on this ending being disappointing, but as time went on it sort of...grew on me. In the previous episode, Airy wasnt made out to be this big, evil guy, with godly powers and purely sadistic morals, he was just a normal person who was depraved and isolated for decades. They were just a guy, and in this episode, the one where everyone expected Liam to be some sort of hero who will dramatically stop ONE and send everyone home, and he may have been equipped with determination and Stones notes. He was just a normal person, he got to Airys dimension with nothing but the idea of sending everyone back, but Liam isnt a savior, and the world is unbearably apathetic. Airy died from a simple accident, and Liam was stuck with nothing to pick up the pieces. It feels fitting, the whole thing that made ONE what it was is that the characters were freakishly human for an object show, and the whole premise was how screwed up and unrealistic putting normal people in the cliches of these shows really was. And if you think about it, with harsh realities of the situation, it could've only ended in one way. ONE with a dramatic heartfelt finish where everythings great and Liam sending everyone back and finding a way back home too with some silly shenanigans just wouldnt of worked with the tone of the entire show. Instead of a story ending, we got a realistic one. And with ONE's entire gimmick being that it introduces realism into the general mix of the object show concepts, its a perfect ending for the show.
Thank you, I think you helped ease part of my confusion and disdain in all this, just a bit. I still think I would have preferred a compromise or a bittersweet conclusion of some kind, but in thinking it out... I think you might be right in that this is more appropriate than an unambiguously happy ending.
It's already been ONE year since this show ended, and I realized I never shared this theory I had with the rest of the ONE viewers In episode 14,the reason Stone wanted them to go to his world was to also use the kill comand on him so he can be with them to save Liam and the trapped contestants, but probably forgot to leave a hint for it
Can't believe it's already been the ONE year anniversary since this show ended. It feels just like yesterday, when I was at the beach house and this appeared on my page when once we got internet. I've grown to respect what the finale did, and the music (not just here) but throughout the show is flippin banger. I've listened to the entire Spotify soundtrack six or seven times in recent months. As the huge fanbase continues to use these characters in more animations, ONE will never become outdated. Thank you, Cheesy Hfj. You'll never be forgotten in the object show territory.
* FOR REAAAALL WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT THE MUSIC, CHEESYHFJS MUSIC IS SO AWESOME LIKE NOW THATS GPOD MUSIC * whats your favorite ONE song?ine is Soul and Mild (the one that plays when ot shows bryces day before going to the plane)
@@sunny__41 Same, got those favorites too. Though I’d say spow anniversary and Atlantis live + the rest of the songs with Airy after that. I rlly like the vibes from both season one and two in there, there is no bad song imo since school started this year I’ve REALLY got to listen to them over and over cuz they recommend we do.
After seeing so much tragedy irl, on media and self experience, I never imagined the most emotional I would ever feel is over animated objects, this just shows how strange I am
i seriously cant get over the scene where liam gets the axe and tries to kill airy. it was so wonderfully tense, creepy, and mildly terrifying; no insane musical score or frenzied screams and panicked breaths, just silence as liam finally gives into the unresolved feelings and emotions that have been plaguing him, swinging the axe heavily, almost as if hes in a trance as he goes in for the kill and airy tries his best to keep himself alive. i have never seen an attempted murder scene portrayed like this in anything else. its so cathartic and immaculately pulled off
Just finished BFB, that almost made me cry. It was so sweet them finally getting their prizes, and how leafy and fiery was looking for a dream island together. But this. This, is beautiful (so beautiful that I couldn’t spell it right because I’m holding back tears. I thought bfb was the closest I’d get to crying for an object show, but this proved me wrong. This, in lack of better terms, was an Adventure Time end. It’s just… seeing the “villain” turn out to just be a guy. He was just trying to be a good host. 10000/10
This show blends comedy, drama and horror so well. Hopefully this becomes one of the shows that inspires the next generation of creatives. If it doesnt, then at least it took everyone that saw it on a wild ride.
the end got me and I was commenting with others ''this has to be a joke'' or ''cmon give us s3 or a sneak peek that's mean'' cuz I feel like he was dying of laughter
the ending kinda makes sense to me, it just shows that the show is realistic. Obv backpack was gonna go insane a little bit if you can call it that, idk how to explain but its again realistic
I have watched the hfjone series two times, and this ending now makes sense. There are no hints for a conclusion, or resolution. It's not Liam saving his friends from the plane, it's him trying to save his friends from the plane. This ending is supposed to portray object show creators just... leaving the show and leaving the story uncomplete. Airy is dead and Liam has no true way of finding out how. CheesyHFJ, you've made one of the most aspiring and actually good object shows ever made. Your hard work on this show will go down in history as being the most well thought out and creative object shows. And no matter how many people complain, we should be thankful that Cheesy even made this series. I wish you the best, HFJ.
If Airy was able to learn how to use the computer eventually, so can Liam. The most logical ending is that after a few years Backpack releases all of those still in the plane back to their respective worlds, as well as placing texty in some other world or bringing him out of the computer into his like how he is while on the plane, Liam just lives out his life in the woods.
@@honey-hunterslimefanno.3257 Yes, you're right, that is the most logical ending, but we already have our ending. Technically, every "ending" the fandom makes isn't exactly true, but technically, every "ending" is also right in their own way, because we don't know what's going to happen. There are no theories, there is only speculation. But view it anyway you want, I'm not trying to change your opinion or anything.
Watching this entire series was like a fever dream, this was unlike any other object shows i have ever seen, ONE was just, unique, and now that it is over, it feels as if a part of you just leaves, like as your childhood fades away, this was ONE hell of a experience.
The way that airy's death is just a quiet glass breaking sound is just perfect. Despite him seeming like some powerful person, he can simply be gone in one slip. Edit: 1k likes? Really? Thanks so much!
The death definitely startled me, I never considered that he could die, I guess I always thought of him in the out-of-body invisible force the contestants think he is. I guess I should of given it a thought when he fell earlier? Idk
I love the poetic justice of the waterfall. The waterfall was essentially the place where backpack gives up, he loses the notes, the final thing he had left, forever. Sooner or later, backpack just stops tryin completely (as signaled by his blank stare) so in other words, it’s the death of protagonist backpack. Later, airy dies by the hands of the waterfall. It’s kinda cool to see the death (or birth) of 2 main characters.
dude i just watched all of the episodes for the first time and this is so good, its not like any normal object show like tpot or bfb its unique and instead of people actually wanting to play for a prize, the people in one are forced to and i loved every single bit of the whole series. i think this might be my favorite object show so far
you weren't cry. i wasn't crying. we were all crying. on a serious note, i loved this series and it's sad to see it gone so soon. goodbye one. see you in the waiting room.
though we decide the ending, yet there has been no one to animate that thought and turn it into a visible form. This is likely because the show is, unfortunately, lesser known or it could be confusing trying to shift through ending after ending after ending
3:33 - We all know that since the first episode, Liam has grown sick and tired of Airy, and in this episode, that anger exceeds its limit and Liam succumbs in an attempt to kill him. Once Liam figures out that Airy died, he doesn't mourn him, he just thinks "good riddance."
1 year ago today, one ended. Its sad to see, that liam is stuck in that place, the others are stuck on the plain, while the world thinks they are all dead. Charlotte will die again, they might all die, one, by, one. Liam, oh liam, he will be trying his hardest to figure out how to work the computer. But he might already be to late by then. Oh how this show made me cry. Thank you, cheesy.
i really hope liam isnt gonna be the next airy. he has almost no way of getting out of there except for offing himself, and i dont think he'd do that unless he's been there for too long, and is too far gone. if he wanted to free everybody, he'd have to take years to learn how to use the computer as well, really eerily reminiscent of airy. this is the final episode as well, we'll never get to actually see what happens to the contestants, liam, and airy. i havent had this much dread in me in forever. but ONE is amazing, thank you for making this series cheesy.
i think liam is in a better headspace and stuff than airy ever was. while airy was forced to be alone, liam has everyone else still on the plane with him (technically) and i think just knowing that even if it takes a long time, they could one day all return home (except maybe moldy :( ) is somewhat comforting to know for me. but ofc it would be easier in liam's case because we already know there are commands available that HAVE sent them to the waiting room, so that could theoretically be applied to liam's case as well but to the other universes
i can’t believe i was putting off watching this. this may be my new favorite object show. i honestly cried at the end and i love how the ending is open, although i think it points towards liam also becoming a host and turning into airy in a way. 10/10 did not expect the ending loll
Proud to say I was here at the beginning, and now I’m here for the finale. Can’t wait to see what this finale has in store!! Hopefully we find out what ONE stands for…
@@peny. all i did was search up "one 18: self-titled" in the microsoft bing search bar and it pulled up the length time! i'm surprised this issue isn't patched! :O
What really gets me is that Liam is stuck alone with no way to get out or to save Texty, and by the time he figures out how to work the computer-- if he ever does, that is-- will the people on the Plane even *want* to go back? Most people probably would have forgotten about them over the years. There are those few, I suppose. And how would Liam find the proper dimensions and places to send them to? If you factor that in, it seems almost impossible that Liam could get them all home. Everyone is stuck, and that right there twists the knife.
@@sherlockundercover724 Except not really because his actions were all in good faith of stopping the psychopatic lamp and he has a better understanding of things, also just like Airy he can kell himself to get back to the waiting room to get to San Francisco.
So that's how it all ends, huh? This was an incredibly tragic story and ending that leaves many cliffhangers with no answers. ONE is truly an amazing object show that just plays with your feelings and mind. It's incredibly different from most competition based shows, with its surrealism and oddity. This is *one* of the best Object Shows, to say the least.
for those who are wondering why airy's glass was broken in episode six: the plug dream we can hear slipping sounds coming from airy and when he falls we hear a glass breaking sound, so he broke his glass from slipping
*really love how the ending just goes to show that "you can't have your cake and also eat it at the same time", which is how the characters must've felt when they were sandwiched between ONE and reality. even though we never got to find out what it stood for, it really was a steep rollercoaster ride which will forever be etched in the books of the OSC. :))*
@@Jooseephishere Nah because if they die they have free will. This one dates a long time back but I think it stands for “Objects Never Ending” as we can see Liam becoming the new Airy. I think it is also safe to assume the cycle of such infinitely repeats itself until the end of time.
@@JustPineapple i personally dont think one even stands for anything, at the very least not to airy, it probably is an acronym as its all capitals but whatever its an open ended question with no definitive answer, i do agree with backpack becoming airy though.
This ending feels fitting, but also unfulfilling. But, in the best way. There are tons of questions left unanswered, but I feel like that's for the best, this finale made everything that built up feel like how it was supposed to, making everything feel real, depressing, somber. But also with sparks of hope. Some things we can speculate, there may even be a happy ending for these characters, but the thing is, we probably will never truly know. I love open ended stories like these because you can end them in any way and technically, no can prove you wrong. This is one of my favorite object shows ever. Thank you Cheesy. I can't wait to see what you make next, if you continue creating. Edit: The song playing known as "Around the Bend" by Pearl Jam represents the show really well, (around the bend's main definition is crazy or insane, look it up) one lyric is "there's a sun around the bend" basically meaning, there's hope after the crazy, after insanity. But another meaning for around the bend is just that there's something around. something else here. A sun, a light, something else to see. I don't know if I'm reading to deep into the song, but I just felt like it fit the ending really well. Another lyric is: "you move, I send" being one of the episodes title.
@@justyourordinarycheeselove642 I'd honestly prefer if he didn't. There's a few reasons as to why he shouldn't. I'd be happy to see two become a thing, but after his post on twitter and some other things, I just don't see this series continuing.
I cant say how much of an emotional rollercoaster watching this show has been its made me question my life and what it would be like for it to all be taken away.. i really cant thank you enough for this show.
@@b1nary245 not really. There wasn't exactly anything to indicate that was associated in any way whatsoever. Its only foreshadowing if there's a reasonable belief it's related to something. Pre finale you wouldn't have thought oh yeah airy might die like this
I loved watching the whole series, it's so well written, i don't even like watching most of the object shows, i like this one because It is so unique and It is an story that distorces what an object show actually is so well, the characters actually have feelings, i love this so much, i love Airy lol
ONE will forever be engrained in my mind as a masterpiece of an object show, even if it's ending on a note of speculation. It's turned my perspective on object shows entirely. And it's probably made some others tear up. But as Dr. Seuss once said "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." Safe travels fellow ONE enjoyers!
I read a comment that said that the reason why the name of this episode is self-titled is because we, the audience have to make our own story up and think what would happen.
Damn, this ending broke my heart, just seeing Airy in the background while Backpack was sitting just made me express so many different feelings I love this show and everything in it. My main goal is to watch every single object show this “ONE” is the best “ONE” I’ve seen so far. Story, some comedy and horror just holy… Cheesy I hope you make a show like ONE again.. Edit:Thank you all for 100 likes and I’m watching this episode again cause I’m bored just forgot how it broke my heart that’s cause I’m depressed rn.
It's crazy this episode is just 2 days away from being a year old. It's just the last ONE episode which will soon be ONE years old, on august twenty ONE.
I was 3 years too late to see all this, I'm watching it again and the truth is I'm loving everything about the plot of this story, I kept the whole process in suspense, feeling Liam's anxiety at every moment is too real because I too I am going through it, more of its traumas, in addition to adding that sometimes there will not be beautiful or happy endings, sometimes there will be bitter or thoughtful endings, reaching the point of reflecting, I have loved all this too much, it is like seeing the other side of the currency of the situations that are processed but you always have to move forward even though you will never know what will happen later, not to mention the designs, I love the designs that are so simple but so attractive.
I… I have no words. It’s done. This was the ending I dreaded, that ultimately, Liam and Bryce’s efforts would amount to nothing and the show would continue on, in an endless cycle. My heart aches so bad for.. everyone in this show. The past contestants, the future contestants, Airy, Liam, nobody truly deserved this. And so many questions were left unanswered, and yet were, in a way, answered. I honestly never would have had the courage to make such a devastating ending for ONE, but Cheesy, you pulled it off so well and ONE will forever have a special place in my heart. The characters, the concept, the animation, and the music, gosh, the music.. it’s all just phenomenal. Thank you for creating such a masterpiece of a show.
But wait, what about stone, did isn’t stone supposed to be an all knowing object. Did he know it would end like this. Why did he do all of this, was he evil or good?
@@weegoh8324 I think he was good, but if it didn’t happen like this then airy would still be alive and he would have dragged more people into ONE. He knew this would end badly (which may be part of why he’s always so nervous or guilty looking) but it was what had to be done. That’s how I understand it at least
well no, liam sent everyone home. right? i mean airy had a way to do it. and since liam was already one of the kill commands, he MUST still be able to use the return function on himself. so, when you think about it, it's actually the best ending. the only ending that could have resulted in anything but airy creating "seasonal contestants" out of the entire universe.
Plus it don't seem like Liam wants to leave now cuz cuz he cuz when you actually look at the ending we find out Harry wakes up on the plane however it's shaped go figure and looks like looks just like the plane so Eva fairies still alive live dead or otherwise he's going to be stuck on the plane for a very long time with no end in sight and unfortunately it's the end technically laptop died so unless he uses Aries computer to transition the kill code on himself health there's technically nothing for him him so he's technically going to replace airy
@@AlphaPizzadog yeah airy said it took him a while to figure out how to send people back, so if Liam tries he could do it eventually. I’m assuming he doesn’t just leave the computer forever lol
This episode almost made me cry. ONE was one the best object show ever created and the ending perfectly fit with ONE’s tone. It felt real and it felt like each one if the character felt real; something most object shows fail at. Even the “villain” Airy I felt bad for as he seemed to legitimately care about Liam and the others. Each episode set up perfectly for the finale. (Even though at some points it felt a bit rushed or fast paced). I do think Stone could’ve been integrated a bit more, but thats just my opinion. Overall, this show was amazingly written. I hope the crew takes a good break after the amount of work that went into this. Cheers and thank you to ONE
I sobbed at the end watching for the first time, this is my third time rewatching this last episode. Airy didn’t deserve the fate he got I don’t usually cry to stuff but this really got to me because the ending is so empty, you’re left to think about what happened because it was all so quick. Amazing show
I had this show recommended to me by a friend and I never considered watching it until today I thought it'd be just some normal object show but I genuinely loved this and it was really well made well done and great job, this series was amazing
THE ENDING HIT ME SO HARD LIKE OMG. Seeing everything go downhill made me cry :( ONE is indeed the best object show to exist, and I’m sad it’s finally over..
I watched a single episode of ONE yesterday cause I remember seeing it in my recommendeds 2 years ago. Watched the whole series in about a day. I was not expecting an object show to be this... depressing. Legendary.
The finale leaves me with so many questions. Did anyone have access to the computer before Airy? Did someone create the computer and its worlds, or was it always there? Is the computer even accessible to Liam? Can Liam even talk to the contestants, regardless if he's able to save them? It's so confusing and mysterious and depressing but it's such a good ending.
here’s a better question: DOES Liam even want to talk to the contestants anymore? how would they react if they found out that Liam ended up inadvertently killing the ONE guy that could bring them back to their original lives and now they’re just stuck in limbo for who knows how long? it makes me shudder just to think about it. i guess the silver lining is that now at least, there will be no more victims of ONE… …right?
@@chopstickingstylus i think amelia had to be on a diff team and had to live cause she was the only one who would sacrifice her leaving so backpack could lose, and backpack was the only one determined enough to find the answers to ONE
I just now rewatched the entire series again for the second time. Such an amazing series but I'm still left with a lot of questions. I love HfjOne so much😭
I spent 4 STRAIGHT HOURS watching this entire series. I can't describe how incredible it is!!! This object show should be in 1st place among the best object shows.
For everyone saying he was trapped in the plane, it’s just the waiting room. It has the exact radio when backpack and soda bottle was in the waiting room
i’m not ready for this to premiere. i’m going to start sobbing the moment it starts. ONE has really come a long way, and i’m so glad to be a part of the fandom and watch as each episode unfolds and gets released. 😭😭😭GODDAMN I HOPE WE GET AN END CREDITS SCENE AND GET MORE EXTRA CONTENT OF ONE EVEN AFTER THE FINALE
Bra. Vo. This is the best object show that I've ever watched. First off, it humanizes the characters. The characters actually have lives. Soda Bottle disappearing was so frightening and I almost cried on multiple occasions. The cast, oh my god the cast. It was wooden because that's all airy had. The show was their life. Their work. Airy's dead, but we don't get to see what happened. We decide. Bravo, this is the best show to come out of the OSC.
I just binged all of ONE after my best friend told me about the ending (he didnt spoil it, just said it was frustrating because it ended so abruptly) But the ending is literally whatever WE decide it is. We could headcanon that Liam learns how to use the computer to rescue everyone, or hell he figures out a way to recharge Texty so that he’s not alone. He still has the mic to communicate with the others if he manages to figure it out. We could also say that Airy spends the rest of his time alive trying to flicker through the radio channels hoping to somehow end up where Liam is again. Either way, the ending is up in the air (no pun intended) and Id love to see what others have to say about it. Were all going to interpret it differently based on how WE would want the show to end. And personally, Im livin for some angst of Liam finally being able to rescue everyone, but HE cant go back home. 💅🏻 Amelia and Bryce hugging a the end got the waterworks going, this damn show istg I wasnt expecting it to pick me up and throw me down like some pro-wrestler. That was one hell of a ride and I am beyond glad I took a chance to witness it.
This episode will be a part of OSC history forever, and i am honored to have witnessed it as it came along. from "Freefall" to "Self-Titled", I was always there to watch it the day the episode released. Loved this show from start to finish EDIT: Loved this show from start to ONE 17. This episode will be history in the OSC's worst failures forever, and I am sad to have witnessed it as it came along.
i was speechless for half an hour after watching this, something about this gives me that feeling learning about the backrooms does without all those random entities, your just alone, your life stripped from you, and there will never be a way out
The note with a number 5 in a circle actually got represented. The song you hear near the end is called “Around the Bend”, by Pearl Jam. The album cover that the song is from has a number 5 in a circle on the bottom right corner of it. Very well done Cheesy.
5th time I’ve rewatched this episode, I started watching it a few days ago (watched entire show in span of 2 days) and I still can’t get over the ending
7:48 is what broke me. they know they’re probably never going to be able to leave, and they’re struggling over the fact that they’re never going to see their family, their friends, their home, or anything ever again. damn.
It might not wrap everything up, but it left me with a sense of dread that no show, especially no object show, has ever left me with before. This ending wanted to be depressing and impactful and holy shit it definitely succeeded. An ending that has the main characters win and the villain lose is what everyone expected. It's been done numerous times before and the reason people aren't liking this episode I feel is because they were expecting Liam and the other contestants to also get back home. But like not everything has to have a happy ending! This finale would actually mean less if it ended how everyone hoped it would. It shows that not every story can be wrapped up with a bow. People's lives get fucked due to other people's actions! ONE doesnt tread around this fact and make everyone happy in the end despite Airy doing what he did. Personally I think that ONE is the best object show to ever exist and I'm sure a ton of other people feel the same way. Thank you so much to the team for giving us this story, it was told amazingly well.
the thing is that it has been done so much that now its a trope in of itself oh wow. the sad and depressing story had a sad and depressing ending? imagine my shock.
Honestly the reason I dislike The ending so much is because there’s thousands upon thousands of questions and this is just another thing that I want so badly to have answers
when I was around 8-10, I discovered bfdi. This was in about 2014 Soon I discovered paper puppets, and so I began to make paper cut outs for the next 6 or more years I’m 15 now, and I’ve drifted away from object shows. My Christmas break just started, and so i decided to search up “finished object shows” and I found this thank you so much for creating this series. As Scenty said, I guess this was made for me.
i grew up with BFDI, found it in 2011 when i was literally 3 lol ONE is the most legendary thing to happen in object show history since the return of jacknjellify/BFB
Even if this feels unfinished, I still think this was a great series. Who agrees? It was fun while it lasted, but all good things must come to an end Edit: Here's something to brighten the mood. At 9:30, we see Liam free the contestants from ONE. Edit 2: Okay, this might not be true, idk either tbh with y'all
A finale unlike any before it. The ending scene with the cover of "Around the Bend" is profoundly melancholy. The titles, the black and white, the music, the themes. All of it is masterful. This parodies object shows, along with other written works, by remaining grounded. It's truly ONE of a kind... you could say. Every new episode that came out was something to truly look forward to. This show means a lot. Beyond what I can convey. Thank you.
