there is absolutely no chance that you are saying both the Nats have a winning record AND the Phillies have a losing record. I actually think the Phillies win more games than last season and the Braves are the team that regresses. Yes a lot of the Phillies core is aging BUT they haven’t shown a single sign of regression yet and I don’t think it will start this year. the Nats are an intriguing team and I definitely like the direction they are headed, but they definitely don’t have enough pitching depth to get through 162 games and have a winning record yet. I will say that I could see them winning like 75-80 games though.

Definitely wrong about the Mariners. Their lineup is a lot more consistent than it was last year. I really really miss Kelenic but Jorge Polanco, Mitch Garver, and Luke Raley are alright names, but they're able to keep the lineup moving along whereas last year it was really up to only 1-4 to produce runs. We only have 1 true 9 hitter and the rest can make things happen and the offense will be a lot better than last year. Plus the pitching will be insane as expected.

I can see the Rangers making a deal at the deadline to get both Shane Bieber and Emmanuel Clase.

I would be shocked if the M's finish under .500. Both their rotation and bullpen are some of the best in the league, and their lineup really isnt that bad. In fact it's much better than last year. Sure, they lost Teo, Suarez, and Kelenic, but they brought in Polanco and Garver, which fills their two biggest holes from last year (2B and DH), and also got Luke Raley in the OF. All 3 of those guys were better last year than the 3 guys they lost. Kelenic had a good start but quickly fell of, Geno really regressed in the power department, and Teo had an incredible August but outside of that was pretty bad. Not to mention all three of those guys had massive strikeout problems. I think the guys we brought in are gonna be much more reliable. Not saying the lineup is gonna be amazing or anything but I think it's actually better than last year, and their pitching staff is arguably the best in the league.

Also Bieber has increased his fastball velo over the offseason he threw 11 fastballs over 93 in 2023 and had 10 alone in a Driveline bullpen. He’s going to bounce back if anything

I can PROMISE you Nolan Jones won’t be the same player as last year. Don’t get me wrong, he will be a good player, but there is NO WAY he posts another season with a league leading BABIP well over .400. It’s just not possible.

The Royals were one of the most active teams in FA because they didn’t have the players in house to field a competent MLB team. The FAs they got were awful players. The Tigers also are getting overhyped for a team that still has holes in the rotation and only has 2-3 legitimate MLB hitters. Cleveland is winning that division, as they’ve got a great rotation, a very good bullpen, and the 1-5 spots in the lineup is the best top 5 in the division. Bieber won’t have a +5 ERA. He got his fastball back up to 93-94 at driveline, and he got his spin rate equal to his 2020 spin rates. He’s gonna be fine as long as he’s healthy.

I will be VERY stoked if you're right about the Nats...but I don't see it. I do agree about the Rays...but the Rays have that bizarre magic. I've got them finishing 4th in the AL East this year.
