i like almost everything about this the only thing for me its missing is the apps support i dont need angry birds or video or any stupid crap but being able to choose my own notes application that works with my like evernote obsidian one note or one of the others is a must feature so that i can integrate it easier into my note taking ecosystem but other than that its pretty spot on there and it does have linux support and seems to embrace the hacker types so tbh someone could come out with a killer custom os for it that makes it amazing
Ah I'm so glad that we were able to help (in a little way) you to get this machine! Super excited about this. Your videos are so high quality and are one of the only channels I have notifications on for! Looking forwards to everything this enables you to make in the future :)
What an amazing review of a product. I'm not a maker at all, but it's so illustrative and clearly explained that at no point was I feeling lost. Very well done 👍
Am I being hyperbolic in saying that this channel is about to explode in content and subs with this new addition to your workflow? Maybe. but I just want to put that energy out there in the universe. Super stoked for ya bro!
While reusing the controls for the desk is easy, I think making a custom controller for the desk would look better in the end. Reverse engineering simple devices like that isn't too hard
Can't wait to see you hit 100k subscribers and more. This is some seriously high quality content. You are not only putting serious effort into your projects, but also the filming and editing. Cheers 🍻
I've put the CAD models and parts list for the frame in the final part. But are you more so meaning a guide on how to 3D model and design the lasercut files to add things into the desk?
Ohhhh soooo did 😍 incredibly grateful, as it now unlocks so many possibilities at home. Especially the time to test out really deep engraving, that unlocks a lot of design options
@@camshand And I heard something about a ToDo app beta update, so it will get even better! :D Meeting notes, personal and work notes, books.. A small do-it-all note! (fangirling, sorry! hahah)
Good question, it's an 8 Inch Hon & Guan Inline Duct Fan. They send it to me for a previous video, to feature it's high airflow of 760CFM. Only been a month or so of use since then but I've had no issues, it does what it says on the box haha. Being able to crank it up for wood cuts and the leave it running long after the machine is done to keep taking the smell out has been great. And I 3D printed an adaptor for the small laser cutter ducts to it. Amazon: geni.us/8InchDuctFan Website: store.honguan.com/ They also gave me a 10% off discount code for direct Website orders: camshand
BeaverLAB sent it for review, you can see the short here. ru-vid.comKXHN2LCpgGE?feature=share Been using it for a few months and the built in video recording has been very useful for RU-vid videos but I do wish it had manual camera exposure and white balance control settings.
They do actually have giveaways on their live streams, but usually it's for attachments or decent discounts off. I'm so excited at the possibilities, especially with clear and white acrylic, given the theme of my desk build. Custom PC coming up!
i was waiting for a video thank you so much for your hard work!! I am planning on making my own room and i am learning so much from you're videos!!! Also when is the computer video coming out?
Happy that you enjoyed it! This one took a lot of time editing through the weeks of footage from testing the machine haha 😆 Custom PC build prototyping vid next!
That is a really nice compact laser with 55w! Only ever had access to big free standing units I could never justify for a small workshop! Very cool, looking forwards to see what you come up with using it!
Hey, what's the name of that microscope? I've seen you use it in different videos and i'm interested. Also, great work with the videos, you deserve this machine!
It's by BeaverLABs, they sent it for a review a few months ago and has been very handy with the built in video recording. Only thing I wish it had was manual camera exposure settings. Here's a RU-vid short I made about it ru-vid.comKXHN2LCpgGE?feature=share
I've been planning out the changes with all the great suggestions in the comments of the first video. Think I've decided on a drawer unit option, and now need to look into the roof vent as it's winter now so using this machine with the door open is freeeezing! Haha 😂
