So I walked into Waterstones yesterday with no specific book in mind, but I knew I was going to leave with something. After about an hour of walking back and fourth and not being able to make up my mind, I grabbed this and went for it. I've only just got back into reading, specifically high fantasy, but my girlfriend has been reading some fantasy romance lately and I wanted to be able to share experiences with this genre with her. So after your review, I'm glad I picked it up!

If you havent read Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness one of my favorite Fantasy All Souls Trilogy so good

I was all ears until she said the character of this book is like Morrigan, urgh. She was my least favourite of all the SJM characters. To many secrets for so called 'truth teller,😆 but I might still give this a go..

Definitely worth giving it a go! Mor also annoyed me by the end of the Acotar series but I really enjoyed Elspeth’s character. Unlike Mor we are in the know of what Elspeth (main character) knows. This book really took me by surprise at how quickly it drew me in after the first 50 pages. Treat yourself to this gothic read!
