I discovered this video by searching 'One Dark Window Recap' as I've just gotten my hands on book 2 and needed a quick review of book 1 thanks to my terrible memory. I agree with everything you said. So surprised this series has flown under the radar. I absolutely love it. Definitely going to to the top of my favorites list. Thank you for the great videos. Can't wait to read book 2 and watch your review!

Great video. Been looking for a good in deep review about this book, and this has been the best video. Also the nightmare is my fav character because of his poetic evil/good dialogue

I had so many takes with this book. When I started it, I loved the writing style so much but had a really hard time getting into that world. Then, came the romance. I didn't like that at all😭(romance books are not for me). Glad I stuck to it though... Really solid from chapter 20. I couldn't stop... Yeah def got the vibe that the shepherd king and the spirit had something going on...that ending too🤌🏾... I didn't feel it rushed coz we're left with so many questions but satisfied nontheless. Can't wait to start the next one. Top 2 reads this year.. yet!

I'm so intrigued to know if the Shepherd King is a hero or a villain - if he knew where the Twin Alders card was all along was he just biding his time to take control of Elspeth?
