Thanks for stopping in OKC, I have lived here since 71 when they had just finished building those ugly buildings at the state capital grounds. There are so may great places to visit that you missed since you only had the one day. I do hope you come back for another visit when the weather is a little warmer and you have more time. Additional places for great restaurants is the uptown, and midtown areas, all very close to the capital and downtown. I encourage anyone to come for a visit, if you have never been here I think you will be impressed.

I moved back to Okc in 2017 from Southern California and, I am so damn happy. Affordable, the pay is better, the economy is better, less traffic. I live in the Medical Community, newly remodeled, original hardwood floors. 1 bedroom condo, $650 with free Parking in the rear. In San Diego Ca, this same condo would go for $1800 a month $100-$200 additional to parking in the rear... Life is so much relaxing and refreshing here...

Almost every school kid in Oklahoma takes the tour. It is sad but it's also proof of Oklahoma character. Just like after may 3rd and other tragedies, oklahomans showed up to lend a hand. That's what I see when I go to the memorial, a whole lot of love.

You should go to the small panhandle town of BEAVER, located in Beaver County. I graduated from Beaver High School in 1979. Our high school is the Beaver Dusters, named after the Dust Bowl days of the 1920s & 1930s. Our school mascot is a beaver that is running with a feather duster over his shoulder. Before they tore down the old water tower by the high school, kids would paint this motto on the side of it: “HAVE PRIDE. SHOW YOUR BEAVER.” I kid you not. Class of ‘79.

I have lived in OKC since I was in 3rd grade. I was born in El Reno, Oklahoma, about 40 minutes from Oklahoma City. I lived in El Reno till I wad 1 year old (so my dad tells me) Then our family moved to Spencer, Oklahoma, a suburb of Oklahoma City until I was in third grade. After 3rd grade we moved to Oklahoma City where I have resided up until now. I'm 60 yrs old. I made a good living here compared to Chicago, Detroit & and all the major cities with those dangerous high rise public housing apartments i. e . Cabrini greens. I have seen those documentaries about Cabrini greens and other project on youtube. We didnt have all the DRAMA!! The cost of living was and still is good, rent was very affordable buying a home was reasonable. My husband and I have bought three homes & the home we reside in now we've lived in for 23 years.I met a lady at my church who came down from LA and she said the house she had down there was a little more than a thousand square feet in LA & was over $400,000 😲and when she came down here she was able to pay cash for a NICE house and pocket a lot of the $400,000. For $400,000 in Oklahoma City her home had to be at least 4000 square feet or more. And I'm not exaggerating!! Our first and second home was around 1,100 square feet although I can't remember what we paid for the first house; we paid $54,000 for the second house. Our third house we paid $78,000 and it's 1645 square feet. Yall, Come to Oklahoma City it's a nice place to live. Oklahoma it's a good place to live and raise children IMO

Another really interesting video, Robert. Our country is so full of creepy, dangerous people that I suspect that's why you couldn't publish this the day you were in OKC. Here in the midwest it was 92F today, your publishing date. That insulated coat would not have been needed. Anyway, thanks again for your work. It's always great fun to watch.

If you come back be sure to check out the womb in automobile alley. (Big colorful building with a giant stereo on the front, can't miss it.) In September it will have an art exhibit called mixtape. Should be awesome!

Always a pleasure Robert - you really do such a incredible job and the audio and video quality is excellent. (I would say awesome, but everyone overdoes that one!) I am retired as I mentioned and still thinking about an RV, but I am leaning towards a smaller Mercedes Class b+ or class C. But, my wife prefers the BIG ones !!! Anyway, thank you again and maybe one day this pelican head will "meet you on the road". Are you going to the Hershey Show this fall? I would love to meet you !!! Best of health to you and your camera shy "other"... ha ha !!!!

OKC’s my hometown and I’m a bit cynical about it. Always thought Bricktown’s a poor man’s Riverwalk. But it’s nice you enjoyed it so much. The Cowboy Museum is very nice, probably the coolest thing in the state. And I about melted when you went through Chandler. I really like passing through the older smaller towns. Next time you come through try Hideaway Pizza. It’s a local chain and their pizza’s awesome. Highly recommend it

My grandma graduated from Chandler in 1928. I go still to the dentist there. I loved going down 66 in the late 80's from OKC to Tulsa and back.

You must come back and see more of OKC! Bricktown parking is a huge down fall but it does have a lot to offer! The museum continues to get better! You probably drove past my street leaving KOA TO RT 66.. pretty country out here!

Thank you but now that I remember it that's about the time we were in Pawhuska what they had the national Cattlemen's Association there so they must have been there for that Rodeo about 6 weeks ago I met a guy that works with leather makes leather saddles and he was in that thing showing in Saddles to the Cattleman so yeah you're right it was about six weeks ago when they were there in Pawhuska
