I can see why you're doing this now, this is exactly the kind of ambitious city that's only possible because of the endless possibilities the extensive Beach Properties Pack opens up.
@@the4fibs832 You have missed out on a great series, Verde Beach in Cities Skylines 1: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A2FhKMLRays.html
My favorite part of this video is that he's trying to be as imperfect as possible, but still is making minor changes to keep it clean. The amount of mental strength it must've taken.
I’m fairly certain he went into the dev menu, created those fires and then started going ”so anyway, let’s plant some trees!” as an homage to the original. 🔥😛
We're going to have another city in that universe soon... with a Verde Beach-like presentation. A bit less intro, a bit more just trying stuff and see how it turns out. Mulligans for days, fires for weeks!
This would actually be amazing to do when the game is a bit more polished/more dlc assets. Verde beach was definitely my favourite OG City Skylines build
"It's a little bit crooked, but you've got to be willing to accept a bit of imperfection." In an alternate universe, there's a Phil who actually plays like this, and he just made an April fools video where he spent an inordinate amount of time perfectly lining things up.
I miss verde beach, lol. It was so fun to watch it grow video by video. I often fell asleep watching verde beach videos! Thanks for this little throw back!
Love to see VB return. The build I fell in love with you and your building style. Thanks for bringing it back. This will be the only CS2 series I will be following.
April 1st is a day for jokes not solemn reflection, Phil. We either learn from the past or we repeat it. My favorite part has to be the sudden flare up of fires all over town...such sweet, sweet nostalgia. Speaking of - it would have been a delight if the city tour had been of the original Verde Beach episode 1 with zero acknowledgement, then back to CS2 for the wrap.
Oh my god, this is the best city build ever! I appreciate the stroad! Stroads don't get enough love these days but where else are you going to see billboards for injury lawyers?! How would people know who to call when they get run over by an F-150?! I think Stroad Towns would love this content, and also Just Cars! Thanks for the first rational city CPP!
@8:05 the new version of this city is auditor approved. Not sure if it’s just a UK thing but they love walking around industrial parks, filming them from the public footpath and getting into arguments with security. With all the paths you have put down they will have a great time, making content for RU-vid.
Watching this video felt like when you accidentally drop something and keep trying to catch it on its way down but fail to do so again and again. Outstanding work.
I'm watching this on April 2nd, and one of my first thoughts was "Wow, Planner is extra snarky in this episode!" And then I realized this episode came out yesterday 😂
I was watching this and immediately picked up on the really weird cadence and how you introduced it as CPP City Builders, but I was like… maybe he’s trying something new? It continued to be weird and then at around 5 minutes when you built the city entry point, I laughed out loud. Well done and I appreciate the commitment to the bit throughout the entire video.
Love the new beginning for Verde Beach so many flames! Also appreciate the shorter episodes. Perfect amount of time to watch for a lunch break or a run on the treadmill!
I dont know where the sass was aimed more... Himself or CS2!! Either way, brilliant video. Had my chuckling the whole way through while actually getting nostalgic for VB. Very cleverly done 🎉🎉
Unironically tho, would love to see you remake an older city in CS2, seeing how the city grows and differentiates itself along with update cycles to the game. I know it's bad for the algorithm, but hey, one can always dream :D
You will break so many hearts with this Aprils fools, mine included ^^ But one of the best I've seen in my 30+ years, so kudos and thank you for countless hours of relaxation
You joke but I want more VB so badly. 😭 Just haven't gotten into the cs2 stuff. This was very funny though. You really committed to that first episode and I'm here for it all day
I threw this on while I rolled a joint so I wasn't paying the closest attention but at some point I look up and I'm like "wait what the fuck, oh... right".
watched this two weeks late while making breakfast. main street with a view of the volcano gave me pause, as did “it only changes the gameplay.” i only caught on when you supported culdesac-ing. incredible work. city tour was amazing 😂
The city tour with the whole thing burning down was a baller move, and the ending with all the states fire resources being deployed to the town was phenomenal 😂
So I subscribe to your channel and usually watch on Vimeo but I wanted to come here and say how calming it is to see Verde Beach 2.0 videos again. I love all your content but this series is the one. Thanks again CPP!!
I fell off watching your channel after CS2 launched and disappointed but this was the perfect way to find you again! The nostalgia made it fun and sad at the same time 😂. Great to hear your voice again ❤
I applaud this so much... I don't play City but have really enjoyed following along with a few of you that do and was excited - for you few - about the update, and well, the disappointment is mutual. I look forward to you creators getting what was deserved from the new game!
Wow it's so nice to see you do something completely fresh and new. This may become my favorite builds of yours :D Truly, the only thing I missed was the comment about increasing the flammability of this place. Other than that it's a masterpiece
