Chris you're one kick butt efficient operator, master of your craft sir . Enjoy your channel very much and your work ethic is refreshing for these times. I would say keep up the good work but it's built in you and doesn't need said. Big hand shake to ya ,I'm a fan.
@@rickster366 I live in northern Ireland mate and have been asking Chris for the last 2 years about the cost of shipping to here, I bought a painting off an artist from Colorado and the shipping was £90 for a painting, but.., got a call from customs over here to tell me that I needed to pay an extra £30, cant help but wonder why the US rebelled against the UK.
@@formhubfar well hello to Ireland mate! I wish I had an answer for ya , the world is a crazy place anymore they want to monetize everything more than humanize.
@@formhubfar If there is a problem with that you can blame it on the current administration, (Democratic). It is not being run by Biden tho, I doubt he can wipe his own ass ! From an Andy of Irish descent. Ennis Co Ireland I think ?
I see the owners have been by to check things out, and are pleased with the progress. They should be thrilled with the final product! In case any viewers missed Chris' PSA, the whatsapp comments are *SPAM*... DO NOT reply to them, and take a moment to report it.
That old girl dozer is a testament on how they don't build them like they use to! Even her cold startup proves it. Its a pleasure to watch her in action pushing!
A top extention kind of ike the root rake but ontop of the blade of the d6 could help those piles just want to role over the top and get tangled up although it does do a good job just the way it is it just seems like there should be more protection for the operator lucky he hasn't gotten wacked by a branch
Good even'n, Chris, everyone. Looking like the Cat 1 hurricane is hitting from Charleston to Charlotte and heading north. A lot of wind and rain, hope Mr Bealy Good's new pond doesn't get too much rain to create excessive erosion. Keep on keeping on, Mr Chris.
I've learned so much from your videos. One thing I really wish I could hear more about is the financial aspect. It would be nice to know how much some of these jobs costs or at least the mechanics of how you charge (by the day, etc) and what goes into the costs, etc. Do customers have to pay upfront and how do costs get managed for a job that might take months to complete. Whatever you can share without compromising privacy would be great.
Still delights me every time you start the dozier. Just a beautiful sound. When you know it shows. Another amazing job of clearing. Good video. Thanks Chris.
Everytime I watch Chris using his , emphasis his, equipment he makes it easy to recognize the owner operators from the operators using company owned or leased equipment. I take notice of this every time
Also a big 10-4 on a new seat, you have comfortable chairs at home, and they ain't even making you money, your butt sits in your machinery, making money, more than at home in your easy chair so I personally feel it's important to have a comfortable place to sit yo ass down on the money maker
Hope you don't get to bad there with the storm. I have family in NC around there. You may go back next week and have some trees down for you. Hope not but well help on the clearing. Be safe.
Extra Ride with "Squeeky Track" ! Lots of Rain is on the Way ! Pushing more Trees and Brush over and the Burn Pile is Getting Larger indeed ! Amazing Progress - we Love it ! Many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
The D6 open cab is dusty now but come January it will be dusty and fridged. Enclosing the cab is an option but then it will need heat and AC... or you could run the the little Komatsu dozer when it gets real cold. If it were mine I'd leave it alone... too much hassle just to stay warm.
After the pond filler upper blows through, are you working on grading the entire property for construction to begin? That dozer does real good with the small but numerous trees. Easy pick up sticks with the excavator later, good time saver.
enjoy watching the dozer work. Daddy did that type work for years which is one of the reasons I started watching. Love Chris's work ethic and no drama.
An equipment operator I used to work with was always wanting more weight and more power. The D6 does that pretty good. You should consider finding a cab for the D6.
We had some chill this morning here in N.Fl. 66F due to NE wind from Hurricane Ian and looks like its headed to Charlie F. Being in the middle of the woods and dry - Forestry may not give you a burn permit. Wilma dozer still pushes trees with little effort, new seat will bling up her self esteem (and make you feel more comfortable).
#Chris ... THANKS for the view near the end of the video, from outside/behind the bucket ... views like that really make clear what the machines does. AND WANTED TO SAY, Can not believe what the old teeth brought on Ebay BRAVO !!!
Yeah it looks like you guys are going to get some water hopefully it feels up the good pond and doesn't get so wet and windy that it blows over all those trees you're trying to save on that lot
The one thing I Love about Chris is this: He NEVER asks you to "Like, Subscribe and Comment" I honestly thinks he does all the videos for OUR enjoyment. P.S. I don't know how new this is but Chris got 3rd place in a National Excavator contest a few years back and we can see just how good he is!
I have had my heat on for 10 days as it has been in the 50s during the day and 30s at night in northern Wisconsin near lake Superior's south shore in Bayfield and Ashland County's Wisconsin
From the comments I see your name is Chris! Well Chris! This was a excellent video! I've always wanted to see a bull dozer at work and you have given us perfect angles! It's amazing what those machines you have can do! The strength of them is amazing! I work on a farm so I know the power of tractors, but the dozer and excavator are amazing! I'd love a job like this too! Hope things are well where you're at in NC! I'm in NC too! We've gotten only 1 3/10th of rain! Stay blessed!
Chris, have you talked to Charlie lately haven’t seen any videos lately know he was on that big ground stableltion project hope everything goes good for you guys
Chris I never fail to be impressed with the push power of that badass D6. What a beast. It’s gotta be a money maker for ya. I’m so glad you found it and that it’s doing such a good job for your business. What’s next? A low-boy eventually? 😎👍🇺🇸
Makes no sense to spend money on a lowboy, can’t do nothing with that unless you buy a semi to pull it, he’s an equipment operator not a trucker, best to let the trucker’s move the equipment. Becomes to much of a headache to move your own equipment unless you have a big business and employees, you have to do all the maintenance for the semi and lowboy, pay for all the insurance, do the permitting, all the inspections for semi and trailer, plus you need years of experience driving and hauling heavy equipment, takes steel balls to haul equipment that heavy. Your talking 150-200,000 for a decent heavy equipment rig, money better spent on a bigger excavator and another haul truck.
Just think Chris with all that brush and lumber that you have got to burn you could have one heck of a wild party with hot dogs Galore and be able to cook them for the next 3 weeks out of one pile doing a great job looks really good love the way the D6 works also I hope all goes well with everyone down there during the hurricane hope you don't get too much damage that way my thoughts and prayers are with everyone there
Chris, what you do to break those trees up with the dozer is………who am I kidding. I don’t know if I could make that dozer go forward and backwards successfully. Love watching you run equipment.
alot of work one man does with a few good pieces of equipment, you would think with those new teeth it would scare those tree's down, that dozer starts on the first spark love it
I am appreciative of you buying an old fashioned dozer and that you enjoy operating an analog machine from time to time versus the modern video game joy sticks. I am sure a mix of both is interesting..
I like watching the raw power of the dozer as it mows everything out of its way. But it doesn't beat the strength, delicacy, and precision of the excavator as i watch you maneuver it around. Love your work, Chris. Be safe in the coming storm.
At 19:20 you don’t need a new seat, you need a bigger dozer😀. I believe Clint from C&C has a nice D7. All jokes aside, the combo of machines worked perfect here.
Maybe you will miss most of the rain from the hurricane so you can get more work done there and the pond job at the new house. I want to see how your new shop is looking like at your house also. Maybe a rainy day could be a video on your shop. We love your work and skills so much buddy.
I enjoy watching the dozer push through those stands of trees successfully. But I sure grit my teeth and tense up when it is pushing hard. Whew! made it.
In north florida we have several paper mills and small lumber mills that would buy that pine all day. Guess it's not an option for you ? I love watching the work although I hate destruction, even tho it is necessary. Sure is a llot of good mulch going up in flames !
❤ the 6, anytime you can run the 6 on a project, we’ll sir, it’s like having a piece of warm cherry pie with a huge scoop of ice cream, it is just satisfying and says the day is complete. Thanks for the ride along sir.😏😁😉
It's clear you fell in love with the D6 at first sight and it's not waned... you still love that little dozer.. oh, it's not as little as the komatsu... but compared to DP's 850's it is littler.. and a few Clint has worked on even those are small...
Pretty sure he said one of his first jobs as a teenager was running a D6 and he got this one for lots of reasons but part of it was happy memories of running it before.
My goodness Chris you've cleared some ground in a short time and the D6 makes easier work of dozing these trees down, I hope you don't have to much other work to do after the hurricane that's coming has passed, just a quick question what's happening with Betty bulldozer please Chris?? Thank you for another fantastic video.
Chris - Remember that during the hurricane, all local first responders will have limits on when they are allowed to respond to calls for help. Of course, responders are useless during a storm if they become one of the victims before they can get to you - so the limits are applied by local governments. Factor that in to when you decide to light those fires. Problem is big if you have something happen and have to call 911. It becomes much bigger if you call and they can't come.
