I make and restore leather products in my spare time, mostly bags, backpacks and small items like wallets and card-holders. I am still learning a ton every time I take on a new project and always appreciate feedback on my creations.
For the moment I don't take orders as I like to spend too many hours getting the finished product as good as I can : this means that if I were to sell these bags, the selling price would be way more than the bags are worth due to the hours of work involved.

Glad this can help! Be warned, I've heard conflicting feedback about the durability of the closing mechanism - but at this price it's still worth it in my mind.

It's my favourite knife for a lot of uses including leathercrafting. What i like is how it keeps the blade really straight when cutting. Other penknives that i have allow the blade to wobble too much.

nt-cutter has some heavy duty carbon steel 30degree blades (BD-1800) for their knifes (like for the AD-2P self-locking cutter). I'd be curious to see how they compare to SDI's. Looking at the video I think they are compatible (ofla and nt-cutter blades are with each other tools at least, I guess it's some standard).

Sdi also my favorite for leather crafting, so far on their line up my best pick is sdi ingenuity no.0443C , i just love the design the handle is really good also have some feature. They are not really last longer but quite enough to handle 5 project wallet before u cut the piece of blade. Well the replacement is very cheap just for 84cents i got 1 pack replacement (1 pack = 10pcs , 1pcs = 10 blade) so i think is good for beginner even professional level. (But i prefer olfa because im olfa fanboy h3h3h3h3) 😁

i dropped that usefull knife few times and the fixator mechanisms stopped to hold the blade the way it does. its still holds, but now you CAN pull with your fingers. i was trying to fix that but cant find a way, nor the video tutorial. there is spring in there and i have no any clue, where it belongs. please, help, desperately need in advice, dont wanna switch that beautifull knife to a new one

Still, these blades need to be honed from time to time, even if you're using Japanese style blades tempered up to 60 by Rockwell :) Also, it's nice to have a knife for a heavy job, this one is quite delicate.

Agreed! I have some hefty knives for bigger work and some wonderful Japanese skiving knives ... but this is the one I end up using 90% of the time lately.
