For me, I honestly have never heard a better song while drinking a beer, smoking on a rare cigarette, and watching a thunder storm rolling in over the hill enjoying life the way I want to. These things will kill me, I know, but I’ve seen enough friends go to realize that you have to enjoy the life given to you the way you want...or what else is there? This thing we call “Life” is insanely incredible if you can manage it to be!
For me, this song really reaches me. I have depression and some days are bad, others are worse. A few times I came close to dying young. Its hard to not give up on life, but whenever I hear this song, I just...I regain hope, I regain life. I realize that life is a struggle, and depression can drag you down, but I shouldn't give up on life. This song just heals a wound I forget is there sometimes. Thank you Rob Thomas, thank you so very much.
Always remember to enjoy life!! Don't listen to the haters, and just be yourself. In life, you might struggle. but with your friends and family, you can overcome them. Love yourself. Be yourself. Know yourself. And love life!!! Keep going!!! And never give up!!!!!
If you can disregard all the terrible negativity around him now, which wasn’t there when I first heard this song years ago, and purely enjoy the words and meaning, “R Kelly - Worlds Greatest” is an awesome motivational song to get you through tough times. I like this one a little better though for myself
Thomas said in an interview that he didn't consider himself a great songwriter. But I disagree. It's rare to see someone release an album with this quality today - all songs took their time to come to fruition.
