We came across something unexpected in Bali.
One man's private car collection in Bali, built up since 1996, has recently been opened to the public.
Some of the vehicles; classic Mini Cooper, classic Mercedes, American cars, a Ford Model T and Holdens.

Ford made cars in Australia from 1925, but from 1908 Ford Australia dealers were building up Model T kits. Right-hand drive models will have come from Manchester England or Australia

Ohh Freddie & Monika, another triumphant video of the biggest car collection I’ve ever seen! So wonderful to see truly classic Holdens ! Classic Australian vehicles! I quickly saw a 48-215! First Aussie built car in 1948 from the factory in Port Melbourne! So many EK’s, HD’s, a Statesmen & the Torana! The value of these is staggering! A fascinating video & experience! Some collection there Freddie that is no mean feat putting a collection like that together what a sight .I would imagine it's goin to be nice to get back onto roads that aren't so narrow and cluttered even the UK will seem better than where you guys are right now 😁.Hope you do get back to the custom bike place guys that would also be a cool visit to make . 👌👍

Outside Java the roads are bigger. Especially back in 1940s or 50s and there were no traffic. Roads in Bali are small because previously they were subak for faming as provincial goverment only turn them to asphalt once they are use alot or there has been urbanisation.

Thank you for taking me to a place I will never see. That was amazing. The smell of each car has it own cologne. I saw that Bug and Bus while you were riding and the last two Bugs in the museum you were at. And knew what they smelled like. PLEATHER! love it!

Wow seeing the old Austin A35 reminded me of my very first car which was a Red Austin A40! Had it for about 6months & sold it for £20(the radio I had fitted was worth more lol)to a young woman who just passed her test,my uncle at the time was a top notch mechanic & he did some magic on it & was well fast lol still remember the number plate 805 NPL! Enjoyed the video guys👍🏻

wow..good job on the prints Monika...an old bug with a sunroof, a LandRover, and an old VW bus...nice....what a great collection of cars...the owner has to be extremely wealthy...i know there are some collectors in the states that would love to have some of the cars he has...the old American cars were tanks..lol..pre power and rack and pinion steering...imagine what turning them was like..LOL..cant wait to see your video showing the Triumphs...

I did notice a New Zealand flag in there. All of the American cars were brought out to Australia and NZ as right hand drive cars as well. Obviously the British cars were rhd too, and also for the gorgeous Holden series out of Australia. Most of the Euro cars were left lhd except for the dearer models with established distribution that could afford them changed over. Perhaps they were imported as rhd from the factory as the Chevy and Fords were? Thanks for sharing!

I’m so angry Cult’s gone!!!🤬 This was my favourite coffee shop in Ipswich. I was reading the Facebook forum about this and aparently Ipswich university have been ruthless in constantly squeezing huge sums of money out of Cult until they couldn’t take it any longer🤬

Amazing Freddie, you could have done a 5 hour video of you going from car to car and I'd have watched it. You skipped past so many cars and especially the Fire appliances. I was screaming at the screen so many times, for you to stop and talk about stuff I'd spotted

The different colored phone booths (gray, blue, pink, white, yellow, orange and green). The red ones are the most common. Also, pool tables in a huge room of cars.

This video reminds me of when I had a Suzuki Jeep soft top with the fold down window screen 4x4, which I loved driving in the condition because I could take it off road as well it wasn't in great condition but it was legal but I didn't care because I didn't have to baby it to much but I olso owned a black XR2 with red stripes then I bought a trail bike yamaha 125 because I lived next to a field at the end of our property and I took my mother off road in the jeep good times 😅

alot of the old american cars were also made in australia and new zealand especially chevs and fords hence right hand drive, new zealand where im from used to also make english cars then later japanese now make nothing all gone the factories

During the pre-war period until early 2000's, there were many European and American car brands being sold in Indonesia. I might even say that there were more brands in Indonesia than other countries in Southeast Asia and even China or Japan at that time. But it's a shame that over time these car brands lost to products from Japan and Korea, most likely due to reliability issues, spare part prices, and models of that car being offered to indonesian not really attractive.
