*Although a bit louder than its predecessor, this unit does the job. 🌼 **allabout.wiki/Backpack** I like the fact that it runs longer when using a 20V Lithium Ion battery. What used to take 2 full charges with the old batteries is now done on one charge.*

Mike I have been on the fence with the Milwaukee backpack canister vacuum. It seems to me I may have changed my mind I think you have sold me on it. You would make a good salesman for Milwaukee. Thanks a lot for that video. Peace brother

This vacuum does suck! I’m glad I bought it at Home Depot, made it easy to return within 2 days of using it. Just cleaning up wood dust around the shop the filter clogs rather quickly and will lose most of its suction. To correctly clean the filter you have to keep tapping it on a flat surface to get the debris out which causes quite a bit dust in the air.

Looks like something that Bill Murray would have strapped to his back in Ghost Busters. “Why worry? Each of us is wearing an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back.”

Can you get an extension hose for this thing that doubles the reach length? Great video!

Joseph Alsheimer when I say your comment I said wow I never tested that. The older tools vacuum pieces fit like the 55 saw. The new locking pieces are to small. Thanks for the idea Mike

is the hose long enough to use your left hand comfortably?

Hi. What is the runtime per battery pack?
@TheBuddylab
@TheBuddylab 5 лет назад
viberura vibe depending on the battery. We use the 9.0 regular vacuuming a few hours. We never really timed it. I can say for certain using it on the hammer drill or 31/4” grinder about one hour.

Do you recommend for a vacuum carpets?

No

It's not great for carpet, and I'd almost definitely choose something else if that's all you're going to use it for. The reason why it's not great for carpet is because it doesn't have bristles that disturb the dirt and grime in the carpet while it's sucking. You can get a head with bristles that you can manually scrape the carpet with but it doesn't have that constant spinning brush that most carpet vacuums have. Hope that helps!

FYI - I use a paint pen from Walmart or Amazon on the drill bits for visual of how far down the bit is. You could make your increments at 1/2" or whatever. Works best on seasoned bits...as you could imagine. Keep up the good videos and helpful info I appreciate it.

Mike.....just want you to know that I ordered this vac mainly on the basis of your review here. It arrived yesterday and I'm extremely impressed with it. Much more powerful than I expected, tremendous versatility and the ergonomics and construction are top notch. One of the major complaints on this unit (as well as all the other Milwaukee vacs) is that they don't come with a brush (my favorite attachment on vacs). But I solved it. While waiting for the unit to arrive, I searched my basement for old vac parts and lo and behold, the brush that came with our old Oreck portable fit the Milwaukee stretch hose (due to a rubber collar on it). And then......I found the old two piece plastic wand (very light) and made an adaptor out of PVC (1 inch). Heat gunned one end to fit in the wand and ground down the other end to fit in the 6 ft hose. Perfect. Putting the brush at the end of that wand makes it easy to vac things above your head or blinds etc. Or you can remove it and put it directly on the hose. And.....it fits in the loop on the hip belt. So, for alot of reasons, I'm very pleased with my purchase. Thanks!

Does anyone else get shocked when they combine their Milwaukee backpack vacuum with their Milwaukee rear handle circular saw?? Is mine defective??

I found an even better solution this morning. The Craftsman 1/7/8 inch brush fits this vac perfectly!

I have a very small shop and I would love to be able to connect it to a wall with a cord in my shop. Maybe there's a hack you can do to make it work. Thank you so much for sharing this with us :)

Definitely just measure the battery requirements and duplicate that out of the wall with a step down transformer that's gives the same voltage and amperage as the battery delivers to unit

@reptileguardian941
@reptileguardian941 5 лет назад
Lou Cifer I don't get why anyone would need a wet/dry back pack vac when the tanks are already very limited in capacity. You would need to keep emptying the container in heavy duty jobs time and time again. When you could just get like a 6 gallon wet/dry vac and do the job without interruption.

@@TheBuddylab Looks like the floor attachment is removable from the wand. It also looks like the wand can be used to extend the reach of the hose. I'm in the HVAC and Plumbing trade and I am still building my Milwaukee set up I have purchased a ton of DeWalt tools I recently gave all of them to my father because DeWalt doesn't offer plumbing tools so I am slowly investing as I need them and this would probably be my third tool purchased after the new surge m18 set I buy. Thank you for the honest review. Good to see someone not sponsored by the company and just be honest. 👍
