One of my friends future to be mud mower. 

If you're making a mud mower may i suggest mounting the engine on the rear, getting a shorter belt, typically will only have to mod throttle, foward and reverse will just be opposite Salvage forklift or design your own FWD system with a smaller engine on the front for 4wd when you rarely need it Or slap a winch and some weight in the empty engine bay because it will pop wheelies Or weld up a tipping bracket and turn it into a ride on wheel barrow like i did

I have an old Simplicity 700 and 725 I want to mod some, no trails I can really ride on though unfortunately, so not an urgent project

Pull that stupid Tecumseh out and put literally anything else in. that engines going to become a money pit. Trust me I know.

I have the Allis chalmers version but I'm keeping it as a vintage garden tractor
