Hitting the 2 and 3 protects you (and then some) from the 11. You should actually protect yourself from the hard 4 or 10. That way, only the 6-4 or 3-1 can hurt you. And you can take back the hard way too.
Watch Waylon: you and he are 2 rare guys that understand dark and light side play. Good to see you encourage folks to play in ways they enjoy and that don't mathematically affect them negatively.
Have used this several times (especially on a cold or choppy table). The one variation I use is that you can leave that Lay 4 or 10 up for ONE ROLL AFTER the Point is established. That catches the PSO rollers without that much more risk and gives that $30 6/8 a bit more relief without having to place more odds on the DP and have all your hedge eggs in one basket.
I'm a noob at craps but quickly saw the benefit of playing the dark side. Yes, there are more ways to roll a 7 (6) than any other number, but STATISTICALLY, the 7 is only rolled 18% of the time, so once you get past the come-out roll, the advantage swings to the dark side player. It's all about the odds, which is how the casinos have thrived over the decades. FYI: The 6,7, and 8 combine for nearly 50% of all rolls. There is approximately a 3% difference in a number being rolled as you go up and down away from the 7. Knowlege is power.
We never understand why the Don't player lays odds ??? You're starting out at 100% ROI and the more odds you lay the lower your ROI. We do believe in Hedge betting our Don't bets. From the Show: THE TOP TEN MYTHS IN CRAPS. Good Luck at the tables!!
i only play don't. My heaviest lays are always against the 6 and 8. It's pays the most yet you are still favorite. Think about that? I many times also do an overlay when I'm at max lay. I played in AC last week at the trop. Playing $75 flat/$450 lay. Hit EIGHT 'point established then immediate 7's' in a row. EIGHT. Turned $2,000 in $12,000 in about 15 min. How about that for a system? The game is for fools and playing against the 7 makes you the King of Fools. Your crown is empty pockets. "We're waiting for a hot shooter" is what I always hear at the table. I laugh to myself as the 7 rolls. There's a reason the house wins on the 7 and it's because THEY ALWAYS WIN. Do all you can to NOT play against the 7 and beat them at their own game.
Mathematically proven for every strategy, that the farther away you are from the 7, they worse the strategy is. What I do is this. Bet the dont for 30 the lay the 6 or the 8. If the point is 4,5,9,10. Then I pull my lay bet. Moderately safe, moderately fun, moderately profitable 😊

I got two questions for you : ( 1 ) What's your opinion of "side bets" in black jack : for example betting on getting a "6" , "7" , "8" , pays 30 to one !!!! Side bets are determined by your two cards and the dealers "up" card !!!! Side bets pay if your two cards and the dealers "up" card total "19" , "20" , "21" , etc. !!!! ( 2 ) What's your opinion on tipping the dealer in black jack by placing a "two way" bet for the dealer !!!! I "like" tipping this way because if I win the dealer gets my money and the casinos money !!!!
Well done Ken. Sure, pure Math goes against the bleed... but craps is as much psychological as knowing the math. And there's nothing more damaging to a Dark Side player than 4 or 5 7/11's rolled consecutively (it happens A LOT!) to end the night! Not having that fear is WAY more valuable than the long-term fractions that the Math speaks to .
I like this strategy! I would just wouldn't put the odds on the lay with my own money. I would use the winning from the 6 or 8 to keep pressing the Lay (DP) bet. $30 on the Odds and $5 in my rack. I would do this til I hit the max. WHen I hit the max, then I would do a DP Don't come then start over with another number, til the magical 7 comes out.
I'd personally replace the 150 lay on the 10 with a 15 dollar 7 and forgo the 5 dollar yo. That gives you enough action for 10 shooters where the 150 dollar 10 can go fast if people end up shooting the outside on the comeout. It gives the same amount of coverage and the Yo isn't as likely to happen so you might even have a slower bleed on the hedge comparatively. Very cool system though! I personally don't hop. It is a guaranteed loss if the 10 don't show. And it don't most of the time. If I lay the 10 and it gets hit, it gives me a shot at going up on the odds of the DP I understand the logic behind it though
Best is to bet don’t pass and lay max odds. You can’t protect any bet with another bet. If the Don’t bet loses, it loses no matter what other bet you make.
Look at the Law of Large Averages. Longer you play, more the math of the game plays out to the mathematical or statistical "averages". Key play is to find strategies that pay. For example, DP for $75 is gonna get hit by come out 7 twice in the 'typical' 12 shooters/hour (once every 6 shooters). The Lay 10 for $150 is gonna get hit one in every 12 times, the EXACT same $150 loss. So, using the Lay 10, BY ITSEL:F changes nothing, the $150 loss =$150 loss. BUT, playing the Lay 10, or Lay 4 Will allow another strategy that takes your 2 come-out 7's per hour loss ($150) and reduces it by $120 to only $30. See my comment above on how to do this.
Lay 4 OR 10 for $100 hardway $12 and hop EZ $6. Place 5,6,8,9 $5/6 hardway 4 or 10 $1 and DP $7. If point is 4/10 max DP odds [hybrid few rolls] if U like. Works great for bubble craps, adjust levels for $10-$15 tables.
Hey Ken I watched one of your older videos that I really like. You know how you lay the the 10 for $150. What do you think about splitting it in half and putting it on the four and 10, 75 each? Take take care all the best
Ken if you lay the back wall, 200, 40 on the horns, 30 inside, you lose your first hit when a point is established, but you can make them look like place and buy bets, you protected. If the 7 gets hit you lose the don't but make some money, what 50 bucks. a lot of shooters are looking to hit the 7. Is the wall to much of a drain to work?
To me the back wall is a guaranteed loss. Don't get me wrong, if you like it, do it. To me, the way I showed it, is simple and powerful. Plus no guaranteed loss other than the Yo if not hit.
Lots of things can be done with a DP/68. Very versatile to accommodate different plays. Just remember that nothing will take the place of money management and discipline Thanks.
If you want to have the best chance to beat the house then play like the house. The house doesn't hedge its bets against the players, so doing so only plays into their hands. Play the dont straight up with odds and no hedge and all you are give up in the long run is half of the 12 on the come out. A push instead of a win.
i'd take my two or three hits and bring them down. take off those odds and place the four or buy the four for $40 or $35, whatever. Then wait it out. you make $5 more on a four or $35 more on the seven. Make $75 to $105 per shooter and be happy.
I know that hopping is a one time but, hop the 7 for $15 and you can lose 10 times. Don't take that $150 hit. Hope you get your back straight, thanks for your time, always enjoy yours and Waylons vids
You can. I just don't like the guaranteed loss. If you roll 10 CO points, you lose 150. If I avoid the lay getting hit 10 times, I've lost nothing. I see what your saying though. Thanks.
Yes but if you get whacked by the 10 twice it's a $300 hit. The point of spending the $15 on the hop has to be figured into getting that $15 back in your winnings for that particular round. If you can't win $15 back in your round then you should consider a better strategy. Right?
If the point is 4, can you place the 4 for the same amount as the Dont? That way, if the 7 rolls, you break even. But if the 4 rolls, it’s a small profit.
Regarding the VIG on the Lay 10. Pulling it down after the come out, won't cost you anything? Only if a 10 hits on the come out roll and you win. Then they take the VIG?
@@Kenknowsgambling thank you for the quick response! ...I just realized the the VIG would be only ~3 dollars on the win of $75 on a $150 Lay. This is better than doing the $15 on Seven on the Come Out as some of the comments have suggested as an alternative.
when im waiting for the dice i will do a 60 dont. wait for a point .lets say its a 4. I will place the 4 for 30 and place 30 on the 6or8 no odds If the 8 hits i take 30 from that win and put it on the 4 to make it look like 60 and sit back and let the table so what it do. It a great time killer until you get the dice hopefully I can get a run on the 8 make my 60 back even if the 4 hits i still make a few bucks.
5:49 wait... If you're laying 10 and working it and you establish 10 as the point, you're losing that lay bet, not taking it down. Unless it's not working on the come out, in which case, what's the point of laying 10 on the come out?
Paul, you lay the 10 on the come out to protect the DP. Ok, simple. If the 10 become the point, you do lose the lay...but...you now have a great # to lay odds on. Once the point has been established, you take the lay down because the 7 is now your buddy. I guess I may be missing your point. Can you clarify please.
You covered it normally, just didn't say it came down on the first example, but in regular mechanics, obviously we take that risk of the outside number hitting on the come out, in which, we regain odds by placing maxed odds or timing more lays
One bad and one good thing. If you have a 75 DP and protect with the no 10 and the 10 hits. 1. Bad. Lose 150 2. The 10 is now the point that Good. So, max your odds on the DP. 75, max odds is 450 or at least 300 for a 150 win which gets the lay 10 loss back plus a 75 DP win. That's what I do.
How do you handle those dealers whom are lazy to take down the lay bet after the come out roll. I played in a casino and they acted like they did not hear anything and dice was sent to the roller 😢LOL!
I like this strategy,just not crazy about laying odds with the Don't Pass game.I like getting paid even money or more 😀 I'm trying to figure out a way to play this without laying the No 4 or 10 or finding a way to protect it on the come out with some other hedge?
Don't have to lay odds if you don't want to. The lay 4 or 10 just makes more sense to ME. Plus, just like the video, if the lay 10 or 4 gets hit, you can Amp up the odds and get it back. The 4 and 10 are the best DP points to have. All that said, you find your lane that you can be happy with. Much thanks.

You can lay them BOTH for $75. If either one hits and is your point, you can wait for a 7 to break even or take odds for the profit you want. If you are going to be placing any of the inside numbers, obviously you want to use odds to cover those.
You can do anything you want. Generally, If I play the DC, I'm doing it as a main play. If I play the DP with Odds, that is my main play. However, if I want to play a DP and DC as a main play then I won't put odds on the DP. I will just use the DP as a hedge for the DC. That all being said, if you like playing that way....do it.
It protects your DP with a number that can only be hit 3 ways out of 36 possible outcomes. Plus, if the 10 gets hit, it gives you the best number to put odds on.
"Strategies" are ridiculous. There is only house edge, we all know the house edges. Playing any other bet than the bet with the lowest house edge only increases the house edge. Craps is entertainment and in the end you pay for that entertainment, just like buying a movie ticket.
@@joev.7909 I have found going through the DC is better. You do not have to go to a number you don’t like. For instance, if you put money on the DC and a 6 or 8 rolls you can tell the dealer “no action” and wait for another roll. I usually wait for a 4,5,9 or 10. Of course, there is the chance a 7 or 11 can be rolled. Just something I like to do. OR you can Dooey-Don’t on the DP and lay odds on the number rolled if you like it. I do that a lot, especially after the shooter hits a a point.
@@dalemoore7911 I like to play bubble craps it's MUCH FASTER but you CANNOT make doey/don't bets nor can you tell the machine "No Bet". But what you can do is place the 6 or 8 and then try again in the don't come.
Isn't a 7 more likely to happen then an 11? Why hedge against 11 not 7? The comeout roll is the most risky for don't players due to 7. I'd wait to place bet on 10 until point placed. Odds on 6/8 are risky. I do it but only x1

The math says the 11 hits about every 18 rolls--which on a 'typical' table with 12 shooters/hour is every 1 1/2 hours or twice every 3 hours. The math does NOT work to put $5 x 12 shooters/hour =$60, and then $60/hr x 3 hours for $180 minus ($75 x 2-loss you're "preventing") $150 = LARGER Net Loss of $30, or a loss of $10/hour EVEY hour you play. Law of Large Numbers will get you this outcome over time. Maybe not this 3 hours, but over the next 30 or 60 or 90 hours. BUT there' a strategy you CAN use which pays $120/hour, EVERY hour. read my comment above.

Hi Roger. First, you just keep banging away with the strategy and you should overcome the loss fairly quickly. 2nd, if the point is a 10 and knocks the lay, you now have a DP on the best number. You can now max odds on the DP. It happen in the video twice and still came out. Remember, you have a loss limit to protect you from a catastrophic session. So....keep banging it if the lay goes down. It will happen from time to time.
@@wesmcclaskie3442 No. Not at all. Put your DP bet down. Then the lay 10 to protect the CO only. Put the appropriate yo bet too. Now, you can't lose on the CO..UNLESS THE LAY BECOMES THE POINT.

Both are 100% nonsense. The four has a 8.33% chance of being rolled on the next roll if it has been rolled 97 times in a row or hasn't been rolled in three months. Wow. So he lay's the 4. 7 out. "see, I played it right!" OMG. A previous roll has 0.000000% impact on the next roll. Actually it's 0.00000000 chance.

8 years i havent lost with this system heres my tweaked DO DON'T system $15 min table DP $15 your starting bank is $300 point established 6 or 8 lay $6 and place point for $18 your total out is $39 bank is at $261 7 out you pick up all chips $15+ $6 + $15 + $5 = $41 bank is now $302 next point 5 or 9 $15 lay $12 place point for $15 total out is $42 7 out pick up all chips $15 +$12 + $15 + $8 = $50 bank was reduced to $260 now your at $310 and total time was 6 mins next point is 4 or 10 now lay $20 place point for 20 you out is $35 on DP + $20 placed = $55 bank was reduced to $255 7 out yippie picj up all chips $15 + $20 + $15 + $10 = $60 added back to bank now your at $315 of course you can lay more odds if it's a one way table like 8 shooters all 7 out except 1 player Tweak any player hit's you with natural 7 - 11 NO BETS after seen this happeen a million times 7 7 11 number 7 out you lost $45 and no way to recover it a perfect grinding method even if 4 players in a row hit you with a 7 out theres lots of 2's n 3's also after 5 hours or more in play it averages out
