I paid $349 US for this drone on sale at B&H. In 2019 the regular price is $499. In 2017 it cost $1200. Powervision has continued to improve this drone so it is certainly a great buy in 2019. I've watched several reviewers of drones. You are by far the best reviewer I've watched. You really go in-depth and give each drone an unbiased review and let me the consumer decide if its the right one for me. The Egg is very unique and looking at the direction drones are going this is the future. Great video, keep up the great work and I'll be following more of you. By the way my son fly's the Hubsan Desire x4 and loves it. But looks like I have a motor to replace since last crash.

Kind of chunky but great camera rotation and fun features. Definitely looks cool with the leg retraction. And 5km distance, wow! One thing I really like about this is that it doesn't look scary or intimidating so others might be more ok with you flying around.

As usual an excellent video from one of the most easy going guys on the tube. When this was first available in the UK I believe it was almost 2 grand and that is pounds not dollars, now its about 450 so probably worth a look as a fun drone, I can't imagine it would do to well in a crash. Great review just the facts.

I think this drone is unique just the way I like things. It not only flies but it a conversation piece. And you could always telll law enforcement your taking your pet egg for a walk. The prep time and all the steps to get started are ridiculous, however if you're not in a rush to get footage it seems like a fun choice and I also like the futuristic feel it has. Perhaps if they made a mini version of it, more people would pick one up.

Love the unique design, was thinking about getting one. At the same time, if you can save about four times as much though, the DJI and Autel options can record a little better 4k video, at least in theory, since the MB/S is quicker

Smartass? I don't get that feeling from him at all. He seems well mannered and besides I grew up in Northern Minnesota and he seems to do a lot of winter flying and l have say his temperament and demeanor is a heck of a lot warmer then the environment he's standing in. Besides he's Canadien and in all the years I lived on a farm in Minnesota making cross border trips to Canada 1 thing stands out and that is how friendly and helpful Canadian people are. This was way back in the early 70's and I've moved to California after Minnesota so I don't know if that still is how Canadian's are. Should be tho Canada has the most beautiful scenery and the best fishing next the fishing in Minnesota . You have to like 30ft snow drifts tho and Sub-Zero temperatures ! 😁🍤😎

Nice! The power egg interesting! The 349 is a pretty good price. I'm curious about what photographic still capabilities are available in the app and camera link pano, bracketing, timelapse, etc. Now that you have some experience with it. Hope to see more detail on these features thanks.

I call it a WiFi repeater, too. Others might call it foccusynch or lightbidge, but if you take a look inside all you can find is a standard off the shelf wifi module...

Always power up the ESCs with the drone on a level surface to allow the gyros to calibrate properly.

glad one of you big youtubers reviewed this drone ....i have had it for over a year now ....and everything you said about it ..i have been saying the exact same thing....its just fun to fly .. always attract a crowd which at times i dont like..........its fast and heavy......just fun to fly ....its just sitting on the shelf ..i take it out every blue moon .....because its loud .....but its so fun to fly and how it moves through the air......i also paid nearly 1300 as soon as it came out ...

Hey Tony. I was amazed that this drone came on the market back in 2017 because it had some nice tech to it and a one of a kind design, but was out of my price range (at that time). Also I couldn't justify where I would fly an egg drone. It seems like the company is still making them, so they must be selling.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 yes they are selling .i guess since the price dropped ....thats why i chose this over the p4p because i wanted something different....i hate the p4p and xstar premium look...and anything else that have that look.....its the reason i paid nearly 1300 bucks for it......yes i dont have many places to fly .....they have put up no drone signs at all lakes now...... when they did that ...i put the drones away......mavic,autel evo and this poweregg drone....... but i take them all out evry blue moon to keep the batteries fresh like drone valley said to do....

how about you get low battery in the of water surface. it will automatically land?

It gives you a low battery warning. If you ignore it (like I did) then it will eventually just land.

Neat idea but flawed. Weight distribution I think is bad. The cg is low from the looks of it. So itll cause a pendulum effect causing the motors to work harder and the gimbal

In my opinion, this is a great idea, love the price point, but the dji mavic mini just kind of one ups it in all ways from flight time to range to portability. Honestly if the dji mavic mini wasn’t around, I’d get of these for sure but the mavic mini just seems to kind of make it a bit obsolete. Also great video Captain!

That thing is crazy cool!!! Nice price for what you get.The weight makes me nervous. If that thing hits a car, person or a house it's gonna leave a mark LOL. I love the super unique design!
