Thanks for your feedback! Can you provide a model number of a Klein that has laughable specs? Fluke's 337 is probably the closest in spec to this CL900 - and they have the same 1% 5 digit tolerance for both AC and DC voltage, and the same 2% 5 digit tolerance for current. The Fluke does have a low pass filter and bluetooth options while the Klein has Low Z and NonContact Voltage sense options. But the Fluke cost about $430 on sale and the Klein costs about $170 on sale. Also the Klein seems to be built very tough - thus the 'Tough Meter' name. I have 2 Kleins and multiple Fluke clamp meters - and the jaws on all of them operate near new on all of them - and I do use them. I've never heard of the problem of loose jaws - and looking at the build quality - that seems unlikely. Can you tell us what models that you have seen that have loose jaws or poor specs?

@KissAnalog the model you have in featured, we have had the jaws fail multiple times, not necesarily coming loose, but making intermittant contact or simply becoming misaligned, its common for the internal connections of the jaws coming loose or braking entirely. Off the top of my head i cant recall the exact model numbers, i would have to look them up but ive built procedures for multiple klein tools in the past with specs that are surprisingly wide for a clamp meter, i would honestly recommend flukes over klein tools. Fair play though if your getting good mileage out of yours, in their defence actually, most of the problems are on tools owned by "dodgy sparkies" as we call them, the kind who dont necessarily take care of their tools, but at the same time tools should be built to resist general wear, in my personal experience ive just found them unreliable compared to other brands on the market. Again though its fair play if your finding the units good quality, its interesting to see an opposite side, how long have you been using this one?

This is great feedback! Thank you! I'm just one person - but if you are seeing this multiple times that is meaningful. Have you tested others like Fieldpiece, Amprobe, or HIoki that I really like?

@KissAnalog amprobe are excellent, they are a subsidiary of fluke, ironically if you need a multifunction tester cheap then get the amprobe pro-install, they literally have fluke 1662 circuit boards inside, so your getting a fluke 1662 at a mmuch lower price. As for the other 2 im unfamiliar, are they decent brands?
