I grew up listening to the 60s music, and there are two songs by Sam & Dave that I loved. The first one is, "Wrap it up I'll take it," and the other one is, "When something is wrong with my baby," those two are my favorites!

Sam and Dave were one of the funkiest duos ever to emerge in Soul music. The duo were raw, unapologetic, and straight gut grip. There was no denying their sound. The movie Soul Man, starring the late Bernie Mac and Samuel Jackson, I always felt, was somewhat a major reference to the alleged duo's feeding. Big ups WBTV to another 🔥 episode!!!!

My mom had a few of their '45s when I was growing up. I remember seeing them on TV (we had a black and white TV set back then). My favorite Sam and Dave songs include "Soul Man" and "Hold On, I'm Coming".

@NubianKing-y3y I hear you. But hearing the stories regarding Motown, look what occurred. It goes deeper. Seems like when money gets involved, then egos things go left. Just my two cents on the matter. Also, owning your masters and educating your self when it come to the business of music helps to.

@@autumnsmom1117 I know a lot about those Motown singers. I knew a lady, who lived in the Brewster Projects with Diana Ross. She told me stories I couldn't believe about that sister, and a lot of other stars from Motown. A lot of those sisters and brothers in the music industry were deleted bcuz they wanted their masters to THEIR music. This was the real reason they deleted MJ bcuz he had the masters to a lot of groups over in England, including the Beatles and Elvis!

The more I watch your videos the more I learn that the majority of these singers and groups had a lot of hate towards each other! These producers introduced them to drugs to keep them performing, so they could make money off of them. This is why a lot of the old singers and groups are still performing bcuz they are broke! Good video, but I wish it was longer! I grew up with these brothers!!!

Sam has said in interviews that he lost all respect for Dave after Dave shot his wife in the face. They never spoke to each in the late 1960s after this incident. Dave rarely if ever spoke about Sam’s drug habit. These interviews can be found in several books about 1960s southern soul music including “Sweet Soul Music “ and at least one other whose name I can’t recall.
