Deja Vu was the first Dreamcatcher MV I watched not even two years ago and it's still one of my favourites. The moment the chorus hit I was instantly hooked into DC. 🧡

@@rmsdimples8533 They got their win so now they FINALLY have recognition in the right places. Doors that were closed to them before are open now. That's how the entire system/ industry works. It also means it will be easier for them to get more wins. Too bad that's how it really works instead of on their own merit. They SHOULD have won shows YEARS ago, starting with Chase Me.
Musically their songs are always so interesting and when you think you know what they sound like, they'll come and hit you with something totally different. I think they've done every trick in the book except maybe crazy time signature changes at this point, they have no boundaries and that is what is so interesting about them. My favorite part of this song is the pre-chorus @3:34 (Handong's part) "so now, I'm holding this pain..." (which to fans is a big meme and sort of inside joke I think?, but seriously), that's such a perfectly delivered lyric and stark contrast to the heavy chorus that comes afterwards. I love songs that do that. (Classic Smashing Pumpkins was a master of those contrasts, I'm sure many others, but that comes to mind first).
Deja Vu is nothing short of a masterpiece. It is a beautiful, fragile ballad that kicks your teeth down your throat in the chorus. It is extra difficult to sort out, because it tells the story from two perspectives. You know how even evil people think they are the good guys? This is reflected here. One perspective is Yoohyeon's, who gets corrupted right in the beginning. She thinks JiU is bad (does not want to share power) and backstabs her and kills, imprisons or banishes the other members so that she can rule alone. The other perspective is reality, where we can see JiU be kind to Yoohyeon, but she gets killed for it. It's not exactly a Deja Vu per definition, but I believe this is a commentary on the different perspectives people can have about the same event. The lyrics seem to hint at an abusive relationship, where there are usually two perspectives as well, and the abuser finds excuses to justify their actions.
This group is a bunch of beautiful, talented goofballs man. They are nuts. If you get a chance, in your own time, check out some of their reality stuff, like Dreamcatcher Mind etc. They're hilarious... They're a whole different thing.. Boca and Boca live at Esquire if you want some goofiness with great live vocals....
I'm so glad you mentioned HIM. They have a Japanese track that is Finnish symphonic metal called 'Don't Light My Fire,' which gave me huge HIM vibes, and many others have said it reminds them of Nightwish.
I really need you to listen to their first 2 songs. the first is "Chase me" and the second is a continuation of the story from the first and its called "Goodnight" also "SCREAM" seeing them live on July 1st and I CANNOT WAIT! they are touring the states get your tickets!!!
Dreamcatcher are basically the best kpop group ever. Pop, metal, electro, melodies, lyrics, music videos, creativity... Couldn't believe when I heard them for the first time.

The song is gorgeous, the filming on this is gorgeous, they are gorgeous. Everything about this is amazing. 'Odd Eye' from them might be a close second, maybe, also pretty amazing. Oh, also, since you started talking about rock instrumentals, you might wanna check out BAND-MAID if you still haven't. They're a japanese rock girl band and their talent is just out of this world. Honestly their instrumentals and techniques they use might be among the best active rock bands right now, simply fantastic musicians (they're also the composers of their songs)
