Absolutely stunning home by modern day standards. I've been a builder my entire life & I'm telling you,, it would be challenging indeed to put together such a beautiful home & grounds such as this. Just viewing from this video,, the work all seemed top notch professionally & the architect did a fantastic job blending the different Euro styles to complete this stunner. One of the best parts?? It's the owners! To have built & lived in such a magnificent home,, they both seem just as cordial & down to earth as they possibly could be. I love the part where she states,, "living here is like living on vacation",, she's very fortunate & seemingly hasn't lost sight of that. Most people living in a home so luxurious,, you'd be hard pressed to even get them to comment for a YT video! This gentleman laid his money on the line along with a ton of hard work & dreams to put together something that will hopefully stand for hundreds of yrs. to come. I sincerely hope they don't lose on the sale,, there should be a premium of it's price just for putting such a gorgeous package together like this,, that within itself is worth a lot. So much planning & so much careful decision making to make the end result so fitting. I've been successful in my lifetime but no way I can afford this baby. If I could,, I love my home state of S. Carolina but I'd probably be forced to relocate a few states southeast of me! Ha,, and I really don't care that much for larger homes much either!!

I never did like a double staircase. I much prefer one beautiful stairway with a balcony at the top. Two is just one too many. It reminds me of a hotel instead of a home. Now I do like one staircase, going up to a landing and then doubling off to two. That is grand to me. But I like only one starting place on a stairway. My favorite staircase in the world is the one at 12 Oaks on the movie Gone With the Wind; Ashley‘s home. That is the epitome of the most grand and most beautiful staircase in the world.

The commentator of this video did a remarkable job at introducing the home and all its amenities and information. Young , virile and extreme excitement in telling about the home. Very professional. The owner addressed the house and all its intricate details extremely well also. It's a lot of house for Alabama. You would definitely need a helicopter to go to and fro though for it's kinda scary to be out there living in a place like that. The security has to be top-notch and of course you would have to have round the clock security guards posted at all corners of the property to be safe.

The reason this property took so many years to finally sell in at a rock-bottom bargain-basement price it's due to the location. It is located way down 280 then a turn down another long road way back in the woods of Shoal Creek neighborhood. I absolutely hate it! It is totally inconvenient. If it were in Mountain Brook closer to Birmingham it would have sold for a lot more money and a lot quicker. This property just sold last fall for a rock bottom price it could easily have another 3 or 4 million spent on repairing and upgrading it. Another 5 or 10 million Furnishing it properly. Then what have you got? A money pit in An Inconvenient area
