I have been there twice (swat) first year on day of prophet Muhammad s.a.w. maulid 1st snow drop on the valley where I stayed. That was amazing.. One got to do the sujud on this heaven on earth. How beautiful their hospitality... The rivers and mountains....

The following is a quote from Usaama Al Azami, in his article in TRT quoting the great classical scholar Abu Hamid al Ghazali; "Do not associate with princes and sultans and do not even see them and sitting in their company and associating with them is great evil. But if you are inflicted with this without choosing it, avoid praising them and complimenting them; for God the Exalted, is angered when impious and tyrannical are praised and whoever has prayed for lengthening their lives has indeed loved that God be disobeyed on His earth".

I knew a people (I experienced a people) who had no faults. And they preoccupied their selves with faults of others and Allah gave them faults. I know another people who had faults and they preoccupied themselves with purifying their faults and ignoring the faults of others. And Allah removed their faults....
I am reading messages about Hamza Yusuf Hanson’s health on the net and that he has been afflicted with testicular cancer. Some are saying he is going through cancer treatment at present although I am not sure if it is the chemo or the surgery, whatever it may be, this must be one of hardest trails as cancer is a terminal disease that killed many people.

I like the talk. But I always have a problem with scholars it's just me maybe I'm wrong if scholars defer among themselves if there is two options which one is right?. I choose to follow this principle we hear and obey Allah words.without going into interpretation.
Without going into interpretation? What is that supposed to mean? We interpret constantly. Everything is interpretation. What if your interpretation is wrong? How are you going to say to a mufasir or a mujtahid "well, you know what, I know that you learned Quranic sciences the same age I learned the alphabet, but my interpretation is still the only acceptable though". It's scary how self-absorbed Muslims have become.

I listen to the sheikh, but he has made some questionable statements, some actions that demand reassessment of his intentions, i don't have enough knowledge to come to any conclusions. May Allah guide us.

What I don't understand who is narrating the story.. if Muhammad is somewhere alone then a Christian man comes etc..who is writing this story in the hadith..it's not the Christian man, or Muhammad, so who else is there witnessing it.. it's not god because this is hadith scriptures.. I don't get it
