I accepted Islam 2 years ago, coming from a non religious background. With every bit of understanding I come across, I am overwhelmed by the beauty behind the Truth. Islam is profound, and I am grateful to be on this journey with my siblings. MashAllah, thank you brother for sharing your insight.

This idea of constantly seeking to have control (over a situation) is what’s making us miserable, because the truth is that you simply cannot. Leaving things to go as Allah swt planned them, trusting Him and going with the flow, trying to make the best out of the situation, is what will truly liberate us. Knowing that not a single leaf falls without Allah willing it, is a comforting thought that puts us in a vulnerable position, our intended position. Fully submitting to Allah and letting things go as He perfectly and intelligently planned it is the way to go. May the Almighty reward you for spreading such valuable knowledge and pieces of advice.

It's good to point out the different levels of understanding and to not get too bogged down in hadith or you'll get confused. Qur'an and Tafsir are extremely important. I have found that some people who put too much emphasis on hadith, get caught up in the the time and place and habit, rather than the universal messages of Quran that transcend time and place. these should not be conflated. As a literature person, I see reading Qur'an in translation like reading complex poetry in translation, you need to take time and return to it frequently and even then consult the scholars for a deeper understanding.
@haroontariq8474
@haroontariq8474 2 года назад
Exactly that's indeed how the Quran is. And as one begins to read the Quran, he finds it difficult to comprehend --- yes, there are certain statements that are straightforward and easy to understand, but there other passages which have a multi-layered depth of meanings and are open to a multiplicity of interpretations. That is because there are actually 4 levels of insight/understanding into the Quran. You ought to be my reading buddy

Sh. Hamza. Appreciate the proficiency in English (language&culture) that allows clarity by the words used. It reminds me of the reasoning why messages needed to be sent to nations by those who understood them. All praise belongs to Allah. Please explain the words 'heart and soul' and how these are inter-changeable in usage. May Allah bless you.

The Qader = the Rank/worth. The Night of Rank/worth is the night when the great God the Almighty reveal a bit of his rank/worth to his servant individually so that he or she lives the happiness of being close to this glorified rank of God. The meaning of this Surah goes back to the origin and cause of our existence (human beings). Is to KNOW GOD THE Almighty. Basically if we put the reason God the almighty brought us to this world in our consideration concerning each part of this great religion, it becomes crystal clear the reason behind everything

Hi, I have a question... I don't know if anyone can answer this... It's very hard for me to understand how Allah lets wars go on with many people living in turmoil, agony, violence, danger, and tremendous loss. I know this is a test, but it's unbearable for the ones living in extreme fear and dismay in times of war. Explanations like "this is a test" just isn't enough for me to come into terms with this. Allah's compassion supersedes us all, and if it was in my power to end wars, I would, but Allah just lets it go on. Can someone explain to me why?

tess a The story of Adam and Eve started in heaven not on earth 🌍. That’s why we call heaven, “the aboat of peace”. It’s the sin that got us to earth, “ which means that you are no longer in the aboat of peace but a place of tribulations. Where everyone has to work hard spiritually and physically to earn their way back into heaven. In other words this is not our home 🏡 but rather a passage to facilitate that earning of moral capital. Everything out there in the world is the result of the 7 deadly sins. People are doing. The question you should ask is where are the Good people or god’s people. At the end, it’s the action of people and the choices they make.
@moonlightgazer1031
@moonlightgazer1031 5 лет назад
I would love to recommend you to hear another video of Hamza Yusuf Hanson's lecture on youtube here, called The 17 Benefits of Tribulations. He elaborated rather wholesomely in that video with regards to your question here concerning why bad things happen to good people 😊 In a way to summarize that video (from my point of view and a few things I learned from it), it all boils down to our firm belief and reliance on the Creator for all that happens in this worldly temporal life, e.g. in the case of us muslims -- holding steadfast with Allah's words in several repeatedly-mentioned verses in the Quran -- That there will be a huge reward to those who are patience when tested with trials, or ease. This makes a huge difference between the one with no hope, no reliance on anything *but their own effort* and thus easily perish and succumb to helplessness and fear, *AND* the one who despite all the hurdles thrown at them still chooses to remain patient and try to look at the bright side and say "It could've been worse", and held onto hope regardless of how bleak everything appears at the moment -- Because they trust in their Creator's promise of everlasting happiness after all the temporal sufferings here in this world. I think I'm going off-tangent at this point, but going back to my main sentence, I highly recommend giving Hamza Yusuf Hanson's 17 Benefits of Tribulations a try. Peace.
