I have seen Pink Floyd Live 4 times… I saw this same show in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. The concert schedule required that there had to be three entire crews to keep up. They leap froged each other for 92 shows with 20 Trucks per crew and a total staff of 195. The tour cost the promoters $98.MILLION to put on, but the total profit was $260 MILLION. Nick Mason’s drumming is incredible and matches Gilmour’s guitar emotions while Richard Wright takes us on a Magic Carpet Ride of tones that form the foundation of it all.
Check out Roger Waters wall in " the wall Berlin". wall over 200 ft. and 40 ft high. attendance estimated over 400,000 over 1 million dollar production. size will blow you away.
Back in O.C. Calif when I was 30 my wife heard a commercial on the radio about a P.F. show coming up. Knowing I am a Floyd fan she called the radio station (KMET - LA, “The Mighty Met”) to get information on the concert, The DJ on live radio Cynthia Fox…. said...."Congratulations, YOU are caller number 10, YOU just won tickets to the show and the Sound Check Party before the show"... I met David Gilmour back stage. He gave us both a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I told him his music will stand the test of time with anything from Beethoven or Mozart. He smiled even bigger. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know. . I told him in my eyes he’s a “Legend“. He thanked me and said “Enjoy the show”…. during the concert after the song “Money” he looked right at me and said…. “On saxophone, another Legend, Mr. Raphael Ravenscroft” … acknowledging my comment to him. It is my favorite moment in over 300 shows I’ve seen. I asked David…. How do you create those awesome solos?… he said….. I sit on a stool and listen to what Roger, Nick and Rick put down and play along. I listen to what I played and pick out what I like, then I put the pieces together into one piece then learn to play it as one. Our fans are fanatics for our shows to sound like the albums so I must play it correctly each time in a show. I have the concert Brochure and album on the wall with David’s picture centerfold. All of us fortunate enough to have seen this show live were in a TRANCE.... MESMERIZED the entire show... as you can imagine. We walked out saying.... What did we just witness? That was out of this world incredible.
Nick Mason originally “song” the lyrics “One of these days, I'm going to cut you into little pieces”😊 In the studio version, David Gilmour and Roger Waters both played on bass guitars to give that crazy bass effect. Every single song from this concert is amazing so you have lots more to react to. From the same album, you should try the phenomenal Echoes instrumental studio version and also there’s the amazing Pompei live version filmed in the roman theatre which is legendary! Thank you for reacting to more Pink Floyd 👍🏻
They r from another place in the Universe!! Another band that is in their own special category!! We were so lucky back then to see and here this masterful music! It will live forever!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Imagine that very very loud! I was lucky enough to be there Earls Court 94. My dream come true. I've seen some greats Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, Rush.. This Pink Floyd concert was the greatest, because it was Pink Floyd. One of these days nearly took Earls court roof off lol. Just amazing. Great reaction 👍🇬🇧
I was sitting on the right-side of the hall and happened to look up just as that huge pig came flying out of its' hole straight at me, what a shock! Great song, brilliant show.
Run like hell live is one of the best light shows there are.. And Dogs of war with the sax player steals the song Best concert ever I went to 4 citys to see it.
Classic 1971 Pink Floyd song. What you don't see is at the end they push the pigs out of the speaker cones. 1 of 2 references in the concert giving a FU to music critics. 1 they said back in the 70's that their music will sell when pigs can fly. 2 Disco ball in "comfortably numb" critics said P.F. will not make it cause they don't play 4 minute dance songs. Check out 1981 album cover P.F. collection of dance songs.
Isn’t it amazing that half a world away, we can both experience,Pink Floyd I first heard them at camp Dearborn at a dance, I stopped and could not look away where but just listen….. they take you on a journey everytime.oh the year at the dance 1972.We and the best music
I've been lucky enough to see a lot of thee Epic Perforances (Old Coot, Deep Purple, Led Zetppelin, CCR, Janis J, you name it), but this 1994 PF was epic, even saw 3 times ... Each and everytime, I woke up three days later ... (oh Yeah, Bongs were a ting back then, but I didn't need it ;-) )
Definitely subscribe!!! This was their first set closer before they take a break and come back to do the whole Dark Side album. Love David looking around at the 7:15 mark....yeh you just heard that how'd ya like it? lol...I'll check our your other videos too KEEP TALKING and SHINE ON CRAZY DIAMOND. Not many bands can play the songs live better than the studio cut like PF does; some are so much better it's amazing (SORROW for example). And these are just regular guys/gals each managing to be at the top of their game at the same time, and enjoying playing together.
Hello again Mr Blacksmith! Another reaction which I really enjoyed. Can I ask one small favour? Your volume is always quite low, I have to turn up to near maximum to hear clearly. Then I forget I did that and the next reaction I watch blows my ears off! Glad you enjoyed this timeless classic. Please have a look at High Hopes and Keep talking, both from the same Pulse tour. Nice to see your subscriber numbers going up. More Floyd will help with that!
Great reaction my friend , I've been listening to Pink Floyd all my life ! David Gilmour is the God Guitarist ! By the way , are you related to Josh Brolin ? ✌🏽
Just one suggestion: react to their 4 "magic" albums: Dark Side of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall... Those albums are just over anything else by several orders of magnitude. They are "experiences" in themselves, intended to be listened "at once" almost like movies... You close your eyes, you dive into their music and you feel all kind of emotions. I say that because you MUST do this, at least for yourself. In front of the camera you can "split" your reaction in several videos, but try to react to them in order and in one step. You'll be able to react to the "true" experience they meant. Also close to the condition we had to experience them when we had discs instead of the sad "streaming" era.
My dude! I've been dying to get a reaction video from you, with an Electric Callboy song. If you ever get around to it, please check out Spaceman. It's an earworm
BRO!!... SE TE ESCUCHA MUY , MUY.. VERY BAJO DE VOLUMEN Y NO TIENES SIQUIERA SUBTÍTULOS NI EN INGLES NI EN CASTELLANO... AUNQUE ..QUE...HAY SUBTÍTULOS PERO SE VEN MUY PEQUEÑOS PARA LEER
Just Phenomenal! Damn.. Love it. I'm not sure if you check your email, but I sent you a suggestion for when you're ready to move on from PF...I. sure that will be a while, there are so many great ones. 🤏
