Mitchell Gibson joins Mike Vogel to break down his week at Capitals Development Camp after being drafted in the 4th round, 124 overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
I like this young mans future with the Caps and HE really is catching on quick to how differently players in the NHL are in shooting at Goaltenders versus other leagues which HE even said that he really knows what to expect already in how players use every inch of the net to place the puck and you have to be able stay focused and on your toes. He seems grounded and down to earth as they come and I think HE could be a great back up to Holtby even splitting time with him and has I think if he keeps the work ethic and attitude he has now a starter one day. All the Best to you Mitchell and hope you spend your career with the Caps as your mindset is going to help you prove to all that you belong in the NHL and players will learn to respect your skills and abilities in trusting you in the net. Speaking as a former Goaltender myself its a trust every goalie has to earn from performance and its building that trust that will set you apart from everyone else.
