Saturn's counterattacking Luffy seamlessly after getting thrown like a frisbee after being tossed like pizza dough makes me think that Saturn and possibly the rest of the Gorosei have faced Nika/Joyboy in battle in the past and thus aren't phased by it like Kaido was.
Or maybe he's just getting caught up in his pace. We have yet to see Saturn's character quirk, so that makes me think this might be part of it. He easily gets caught up in people's pace. Thats why he humored Vegapunk's conversation while the others escaped. That's why he had a full blow conversation with Vegapunk while he was in the process of being punched. Why he humored Catarina with a conversation. Why he complimented Franky. And why he gave a big dramatic speech to Bonney, explaining literally every dirty detail of her and her parents lives. He's getting caught up in the pace of the people he's talking to. Returning Vegapunk's curiosity with curiosity, and Bonney's hatred with hatred, and Franky's big bro energy with big bro energy. We see now that it's a weakness and a strength. The reason he's "lost his humanity" while fighting Luffy may be that he needed to disconnect the voice feed to his summoned meat puppet. Otherwise we'd hear him laughing.
I think you might be onto something there 🤔 Not fighting the ridiculus effects and just going with it might actually be the key to counter Nikas abilities.

i had the thought that the "dead" vegapunks aren't dead, but instead could be "uploaded" to punk records, and are actually streaming this live, talking from within a virtual world simulation thingymajig. remember some of the themes of the arc were about what it means to be "real" like luffy's interaction with the holograms, memories, death, the weight of memories and the soul...etc. if vegapunk was studying the soul then he must have figured out how to "separate" his soul/personality into the other satellites, and the three of them have cheated death by remaining "alive" within punk records. so there may truly be something to this tiny detail 👀

Snails can live up to 20 years. The oldest one was like 30 years old. I think the oldest snail in One Piece is the Silver Den Den Mushi, the Buster Call receiver. It has a white mustach and a beard, so I think it is much older then 30.
the elders being able to communicate telepathically is kinda creepy. if saturn is summoning the other 4 now and luffy hasnt figured out a way yet to harm them then they definitely need to run at this point.
Moreover all those theories of Devon intercepting Mariejois while disguising as Saturn are also debunked, there's no way she can even stand in front of one without raising suspicion.
It would so dope if the gorosei spend all that time trying to find and destroy the transmission source, and at the very end of the video Vegapunk reveals that it isn't even on Egghead.
At the very least I'm hoping it's underground, not at the top like they think. So they waste the 10mins looking in the wrong spot and no matter what, vegapunk gets his dream plus the lore drop

The most important part of livestreaming is giving everyone around 5-10 minutes to see the announcement and join the stream. Good thing Vegapunk learned that before he got too far!
It's interesting to see a "Bird cage" type countdown climax that's on OUR side this time instead. But I actually love the way it's being built up. It's also real bittersweet to see all the currently dead Vegapunks hanging out together in the recording. I'll appreciate this short podcast any moment I get while Luffy and the others are busy fighting Hellspawns
Um about the message. Why does vegapunk need visual aid? Feels like the message is gonna include visual aids. Vegapunk is gonna have the best power point presentation
@alexanderson2502 It could also be a ruse by Vegapunk for the elders to get them to focus on the wrong things. I have a feeling that the gorosei is going to succeed in terminating the broadcast of the visual den den mushis. Resulting in those that brought out the screen to not be able to receive the message. But the people of Fusha, who didn't own one, will get to hear the audio version. As well as other nations and individuals who only use the audio ones. Since that message will get broadcasted, unknown to the gorosei, who initially think they managed to advert knowledge from coming out entirely; They will be unaware (until they are informed otherwise by their subordinates that is) there are people who did hear it and those folks are going to spread it to those who's initial interest had already been peeked by the announcement in last chapter. Spreading whatever does come out like a poorly contained virus over the world until what was said during the broadcast becomes common knowledge everywhere. (In other words, I just really wanna see Vegapunk outsmart those geezers)
One thing this chapter does highlight is that members of the 5 Elders can summon one another... Definitely makes fighting them a lot harder if one is close to defeat they can either be summoned to safety or summon backup!
Knowing Oda, there's probably something significant behind each of the islands we saw trying to receive the message. Dressrosa, Water7 and Fusha seem to be very specific choices and I wonder if there's a reason behind it. Also, we didn't see a lot of the very important players' reactions: Shanks, Blackbeard, Cross Guild, Impel Down (Doffy) etc.
Additionally, larger species tend to have longer lifespans, and den den mushi, even in their smaller varieties, tend to be fairly big. They can probably live several decades.

With more of them arriving, odds increased that The Egghead Incident might be looking to see the death or "crippling" of the Gorosei. Like, if one or more of them end up dead, that'd be quite the street/sea cred boost on the Strawhats.

oda focused too much on the video aspect of the recording for it to not become important, i think vegapunk is gonna show something important on screen. would be cool if he has pictures of the aftermath of ohara and will show the world the horrific imagery of what the wg committed on that island to make them turn on the government (thankfully robin might still be out if that is the case) edit: i just realized something that would be infinitely more devastating for the wg, a picture of imu. idk how a picture of imu would exsist without the person taking it to be dead but if the imu= lili theories are right he could show some old painting of lili and tell the world its imu
This is too much holy crap. All gorusei summoned at the same time. This battle is entering a whole new level. Vegapunk, I think it's an overstatement to say there's a low risk of interference in 10 minutes.
I know it looks like it's about to be 5 vs 1 against Luffy, but don't forget Dorry and Broggy are on their way over to Luffy, and presumably the ancient robot is going to do something soon, too. That's still 5 vs 4, but maybe I'm forgetting someone, too

I have a new level of appreciation for tekking and GLR. The chapter came out a little later than usual but someone read the spoilers (not the scan) and made a video with events from the end of the chapter in their title. Both tekking and grand line review leave their titles ambiguous even with the scans out.

The theory that the Gorosei are the perfected ancient kingdom technology of Vegapunk's Satellites and Imu is their Stella really got a boost this chapter. The five can remotely communicate with one another and see through each other's eyes something the satellites couldn't, but merely emulate with Eggheads video network and earpieces. The Gorosei can also teleport to one another when summoned a technology that Vegapunk was working on, but not yet perfected at the start of the arc. Also even the fact that they all have different Devil Fruits is a step up from Vegapunk as he and all the satellites share the same one. Honestly the only thing Vegapunk has over them is that he had created six satellites while Imu only has the five Gorosei, unless their was a sixth who betrayed them much like York did Vegapunk. Maybe an inorganic being such as a robot who when last awoken tried to rejoin his brethren in the Holy Land who happens to now currently be resting in secret on Egghead.
I feel like Kizaru is almost at the point of having his mental breakdown. When he crashed into the ship it seemed like he was covering his eyes because he is about to cry but maybe that's just me. Also, I can't believe you have't picked up on the obvious fact that Alice is a clone of Tashigi. It's so obvious, how could you not see that?! Carrot is on Sunny.
Oh boy. I knew we were short on time, but a reveal of every Gorosei reveal at once? This is gonna be amazing. It does make me wonder how Devon stealing Saturn's form changes things though. Maybe she can listen in on the Elder's telepathic conversations now? The telepathy kinda makes a secret replacement more difficult to pull off. Though using it for the authority might be nice.
It just ocurred to me. The giant katana in Onigashima's skull is probably related to the giant scabbard sticking out of the Ancient Giant Robot in Egghead. The same person probably fought and defeated both of these guys. Also, Party's Bar showing up again makes me wonder, who WAS "Party"? Is that Woop Slap's first name?
I STILL believe that the summoning circles are actually just the Gorosei summoning the DEVILS of their fruit powers themselves instead of them actually going. Imagine them getting "defeated" only to cut back to them fine in their human form sttategizing how to move forward....eerie!

Interesting that the Saturn can communicate telepathically, what if Imu is the same as Vegapunk and has actually split their body into fragments? It would also be cool if the message is all a bluff (unlikely). In 10 minutes Vegapunk's video switches to a livestream of the Gorosei in their monstrous forms destroying Egghead island.

The next chapter is 1110 which is 14 in binary which is an unlucky number in Japan signifying death and suffering similar to 4 it will also be the 14th when this comes out in Japan. Chapter 14 is also titled reckless and features the Vikings at the bottom of the chapter.

What I've seen lately is people comparing Luffy and Buggy to Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, and I'm here for it. I'm also seeing some discourse online because the question a lot of people are bringing up is, if Saturn's summoning the other Gorosei, then what is the point of the God's Knights existing? They haven't done anything. Didn't stop Fisher Tiger, didn't stop the Revolutionaries, we were teased once for the punishment and execution of Donquixote Mjosgard, and now potentially the Gorosei themselves are getting their hands dirty on Egghead. Personally, I'm kind of hoping that it's not the Gorosei and it's actually Saturn's personal knights, but who knows? Luffy saying he can't hurt Saturn is making me wonder if this will be another Katakuri and Kaido moment where Luffy needs to upgrade his different forms of Haki to yet another level to be able to damage Saturn. Some people are worried about Luffy fighting all five of the Gorosei, but we've got giants and an iron behemoth coming as back up, so Luffy just needs to stall. I am enjoying that it's the Gorosei who are now on the clock for needing to get a mission done. Also, Lucci and Zoro are still fighting, so I wonder if we'll see anything come from that, especially given the broadcast.
Normal snails live about 3 years in the wild and large snails can live up to 10 years in the wild. If the people raised them as pets and valuable equipment then I could see the snails living 15-20 in the One Piece world given good diets, medical attention, and emotional support (love) from their owners.

Summoning all of the Gorosei makes total sense, they need to stop that broadcast at any cost _in less than 10 minutes,_ they have no leeway to not go all-out right away
I forgot what happened to Onigashima. It never landed on flower Capital and Momonosuke veered it away from Luffy's way so that Kaido can fall into the sea. If it landed on the ocean, would it not float instead of continuing to sink? The goal was to prevent it from reaching land, not to sink it. I imagined it would keep on levitating because Kaido never dropped it. I liked how Saturn used his swirly state to change direction and fly toward Luffy like a boomerang.
Saturn is clearly summoning the 4 parts of Exodia with him being the 5th to guarantee a victory 😂 This last page gave me a final battle in the series vibes and I doubt our friends are ready for it, Luffy's gonna need help or he's getting clapped.
One Piece chapter 1109 was good, I like the reaction for some of the characters in the world. Also, Saturn isn't messing around, especially the fact that he is summoning all of the Gororsei.
Its so crazy to think that next chapter we could either learn almost everything, were at the point that multiyear theories could be proven or disproven in the span of chapters, real endgame stuff! Id also like to say that Vegapunk revealing the name of the Ancient Kingdom while The Sun God does battle with the Demons that possibly destroyed it would be a sight to behold!
It wouldn’t be One Piece without a classic Oda countdown at the climax of the arc. But I admittedly teared up a little when Vegapunk said he would just invent stuff for ten minutes while he waited for the world to tune in.
I kind of like to imagine that VegaPunk’s message is kind of like an amber alert, style message if the One Piece world was more technologically advanced.
For the first time in these arcs, where oda did this race against time aspect, this is the first time where the other side is in a rush instead of the strawhats
I have a thought. I'm wondering if the Gorosei are essentially satellites of Imu. But function more like the 6 paths of Pain from Naruto, rather than the way Vegapunks satellites do. Imu functioning as thier "Nagato". But rather than being simple vessels of Imus power they're all thier own individual beings but they can all communicate telepathically and act on thier own as well.
I honestly think that Oda had a reason that Fusha village didn’t have a visual transponder snail. I mean it does seem that Woosplash knows some things about dreams and destiny
There is no way the broadcast origin is in Egg head, it's likely at Punk Hazard, the Marine base or some other place, Vegapunk had access to many different locations where he could've set up the broadcast, he could've record the message at Egghead then set the broadcast from somewhere else during a trip.
I think that for the cover story we will follow Ulti & Page One, but beside Luffy making Saturn & Kizaru pizza what I loved about this chapter it the little details like we finally learn that Iceberg’s secretary name Alice & the reporter Iyan’eno Chinode is still loving Vivi
