Big props to you guys. You two are understanding the essence and the meaning of/behind this awakening as if you were watching One Piece since the beginning and appreciate it for what it does to Luffy and what he therefore does to you, make you laugh, bring joy and fun. There are actual One Piece fans hating on Luffy's awakening for the dumbest reasons but mainly because they JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. You guys are not judging on the surface like those jerks but talking about it, considering all factors and lore you know about and all in all just understand how the literal ART of Anime/Manga works. You look at the deeper sides and have a taste for good animation, I don't understand why your channel is not much bigger. Keep it up boys, love your shit ❤

The creator One Piece once said that the series would've been shorter if it wasn't for Luffy having the power of rubber. Because he would've gotten bored or burnt out drawing, with rubber he can be more creative with his drawings. Which is why I think Gear 5 was partially a gift to himself since it allows for even more freedom.

The crazy thing is that as you didn't see pre-gear 5 it's hard for you to know just what an insanely powerful guy Kaido is.

In the scene where he's turning giant in the lightning..the pose he does was a callback to when he did that pose In skypiea as a giant shadow..so seeing it in this episode made me super hype...the foreshadowing is wild

I've been watching One Piece over 20 years. Ive watched Oda's art style evolve, I've seen the animation industry evolve with it, ive seen the story get deep and dark and complex & still maintain its levity... One Piece is easily the greatest story ever written, and it's not even finished yet 💯😍 Yes it's a long and intricate story but once you get started the chapters and episodes just fly by... I can hardly believe we're nearly at 1100 chapters! 🤩 I've been watching anime for 42 of my 47 years. Ive seen over 150 from start to finish and there's never been anything quite like Luffy & One Piece. It in a class of its own. Its the Thriller album of manga/anime, and Oda-san is Michael Jackson 😁 (So is Soul King Brook, yohoho!)
