One of the coolest things about watching a show that spans 20+ years is seeing the evolution of animation (technology and perhaps growth of team and budgeting as the show gained more popularity). The action and animation in One Piece fights do grow more dynamic with time and scale, imo. Though I miss these nostalgic aesthetics, can't wait for you to see the hypeness of the more current episodes. Finally, Arlong Park battles and Zoro's 1 v 100 at Whiskey Peak were more detailed than fight with Kuro imo 🌸🏴‍☠️🦌

That's the thing about one piece. Most insignificant seeming character can also become so heart touching and likable, it's that kind of writing.

Indeed. OP doesn't focus too much on fights. The fights in One Piece are hyped up to the highest level because of the build up of the story. The fights arent animated or choreographed well, but what makes it great is that you want Luffy to destroy that villain, because come story time, that villain has had too much villainy. Sumthn like that.

In One Piece, the fights are mostly about the Character's Ideals and Emotions, One Piece is probably the weakest among the Big 3 in the fight choreography and stuff, but One Piece does have the most creative powers and my favorite fights.

Luffy ia my favorite by far, he TRULY fucking shine in key moments. Zoro is the most badass character ever. One piece is so fucking great. There will be moments when you'll be crying, laughing your ass off and jumping of hype at the same time.

Zoan have 3 forms. Chopper can access 4 more due to his scientific doctoring of the rumble ball. You're pretty spot on about the fight scenes. There are some incredible fights but I wouldn't necessarily say it's for the choreography. Alot of it is static. They have emotional weight though and some really are awesome. But noone watches One Piece for the fights. I like how you're rocking that Naruto headband as if in denial that you are in fact a Strawhat now.

So on the note of fights in one piece compared to Naruto: both are basically because target audience. However in One Piece I'd say that we find enemies or fights in difference of beliefs or for beliefs/people and their oppressors. In Naruto's fights or arcs the goal from beginning to end is defend me and mine and it's surprising when somebody from another squad is on our side? Not to downplay or diminish Naruto at all, but if Luffy's in the Naruto-verse he would have left the village system and been a rogue ninja, just not evil (probably)

The animation will get better as the show goes on. I think some of the fights in later one piece are one of the best in anime history.

12:50 - Yeah. Fights started really basic in both construction and animation. They have continuously gotten better. That said, the twisty kick that Luffy does against Morgan's crew in Ep. 3 is *dope*.

I don't know how it would go for the Channel because it's mostly Action Shonen but, I would like to recommend one of my favorite Comedy Series called "Grand Blue Dreaming", It follows a Guy called Kitahara Iori Joining a Drinking Club with a Diving Problem, It's a Series Where Oolong Tea and Water Catch Fire and the Alcohal gets diluted using Vodka.

Hopefully next episode Luffy will do the sensible thing and beat Wapol up. I just put Luffy and the word sensible in the same sentence 😄.
