Who else is waiting on a one piece game where you make ur one pirate crew and get the choice to eat a devil fruit or just be op and sail everywhere you want and have one line events where they give really cool or cannon devil fruits?
it reminded me of "Shingeki no Kyojin"'s and "Spiderman"'s (PS4 exclusive) game trailers (i mean this game, not Mario Odyssey. i know it's obvious, but, just in case).
This is by far the best trailer I've seen. What with includeing things like the crew shot, the use of observation haki, and more. I heard alot of negative reviews and views towards it, but this trailer restored my hope for the game.
This game reminds alot of Breath of the Wild and the story seems fun and original; Germa 66, Marines, Pirates. All seems cool, it looks like a 60hr story mode type game and like 90~100hr 100% completion hopefully alternating characters is a thing it would been fun even if it's only strawhats but either way for sure the PC mods will keep this game alive for a long while. Can't wait for this, MHA One's Justice, and maybe shinobi strikers
One Piece Odyssey? Will we get a musical number with Luffy navigating through his Devil Fruit Powers as real life people dance on the streets like West Side Story? How about One Piece: Arkham City? Metal Gear One Piece? MARVEL’s ONE PIECE PS4? One Piece World?
We need an actual Open World RPG with this stuff: Many Islands: You should be able to sail around and such. Find and eat Devil Fruit’s (Max would probably be two) Get your first Log Pose from the island you start at (Probably Fuusha Island, or whatever island Luffy met Shanks on), and to get to other islands, you have to follow the Log Pose and stay there for a while, after that, you unlock that islands Eternal Log!) Weapons! Like Swords, Guns, Slingshots, ETC, just, a lot. Fighting Styles , like Black Leg, Three Sword Style, that stuff. Three Sword Style would allow you to equip any 3 swords in the main menu. Possibly Skill Trees, which you can learn moves of your Devil Fruit and/or Fighting Style, hopefully better than World Seekers Obviously Haki Dials but you would have to reach Skypiea in order to use them. Boats, obviously, you should be able to make or customize your boat, and expand them. Possibly at Water 7 (Galley-La) The game should be online where you can get your friends as crewmates, or make it so you can invite a lot of the NPC’s to your crew. Thr max should be 10. If NPC, you could give certain NPC’s roles, EXAMPLE: You can set a certain NPC to be your doctor, and it would be able to heal crewmates, or shipwright, which would fix your ship after battles. Ship Weaponry: Cannons and that sword of stuff. Shop’s where you can buy weapons and stuff like that. Be able to be Marine, Bounty Hunter, or Marine. Or ETC, Idk. A Bounty system. If an online player catches you, they get the your bounty. Or marine. For Marine’s, the bounty system would be replaced and called ‘Respect.’ Birthday System: At the start of the game, it should ask for your birthday, and you can celebrate it with your crewmates! Jolly Roger: Maybe Flag Customization. Or rather, maybe presets, cause people are stupid. Like, there would be a bunch of skull presets, backround presets (Like the swords in the backround, (Ex. Shanks Flag) Or hats, like Luffy’s. Crew Alliances, if you’re friend chooses to make their own crew, instead of yours, you could ally, which would give you these benefits. Snail Transponders, not attacking each-other. Maybe if there is Enies Lobby, and Water 7, they could add the Sea Train, which would allow you to go to those islands. For Marine’s, once you have a LOT of respect, you could be allowed to exercise Buster Calls (A bit nerfed!) Which would start to have a few battleship of navy NPC’s, and show nearby Marine Players the location of the nearest Pirate. Also, possibly, also having a lot of respect, they could learn the 6 Powers! Finger Pistol, Shave, ETC. Probable armor. All I can think of is something like Don Kriegs, armor would increase Defense a lot, but decrease speed and stamina. It would obviously need main story and a lot of side quests. Far shot, but, customize your own DF. Like, at certain levels, you could create new attacks, or forms, depending on what type of fruit you choose, Logia, Zoan, etc. (Ex. Customizing Area FX on a move.) Possibly buying Devil Fruits off of a black market system, idk. At the start of the game, you could select, or even get a random race. Ex. Fishmen, Mink, Skypiean, Human. all that stuff. Possible Davy Back Fights, which would be on Online Mode.
That is the dream not the expectation. Also some of that is impossible like devil fruit customization, at that point you may as well mod the game, a cool idea to be sure but still.
This has gotta be the most unrealistic One Piece game in all of history... Luffy can't successfully pull off a stealth attack... I mean... I guess that bit at the end acknowledged that, but still... Luffy is the worst person for stealth tactics :) Elsewise this looks incredibly fun :)
Dark MonkenEXN Bro I said the same thing and then I saw the anime and still am and let me tell you 564 episodes in to it and I don't regret it whatsoever
My main worry is how does it feel to traverse on a large scale. I'm going to use 3 examples of recent-ish open world games. All of which are loosely an island (paring bridges to main land on two of then) TASM2 you have NY and get get across it relatively quick and there's not much to do after beating the game. With the notable areas that aren't just tall buildings being the pier and Central Park. Not much variety but you can move across the map fast. Arkham Knight slower than TASM2 but the city feels more alive and that it actually exist when you turn off the game. The variety in AK are different settings of dark and dreary but they have meaning on those little differences between those areas. Though while slower to go from A to B it doesn't feel boring. Then GTAV it has a good amount of variety in where you can go and each place has it's own design, but feels like a color swap of where you just were. It takes forever to go on foot, half a year to go by car at 200 MPH and takes minutes in a jet. Takes forever to get anywhere and doesn't feel rewarding to get there and doesn't keep interest.
No one bothers to mention that this game could be hinting towards the future of canon one piece. Man this trailer is just oozing with so much detail and information that could potentially be a reality in the canon story line. That is what honestly has me intrigued.
Because it would probably be based on DB and not DBZ which is what made the series popular. I'm all for running around as Kid Goku beating up RR but the game would be niche and not for a large portion of the audience who are there for "SUPER SAIYAN 3 VS SSGSS BATTLE COMMEMCE" and the large scale fighting that comes with the flying supers in say XV or BT3.
Nestiray In your opinion dragon ball is trash however dragon Ball super manga almost surpassed one piece manga. It's okay if it's your opinion but you don't have to go all up and about it and say it's trash. Have you watched the anime or seen some of it's epic moments. Also a dragon game like this wouldn't work. The only way dragon could get a game like this is if they made Goku and a couple other characters the only playable character and make it a rpg similar to God of war 4.
It looks amazing and the animations are great. Have no idea what the story could be here especially one without the crew. But that eagle eye, detective mode, x-ray vision looks way too similar to other games. I know it's supposed to be observation haki but they could of used a different visual effect for that.
Quality.. not quantity. The world doesn't have to be inhabited by tonnes of stuff if the base is good and polished like BOTW. So much One Piece lore they can pack into this game.. I'm personally very very very excited. If its on PC, then the modding community can fix a lot of stuff if they keep it open to modding. The most important thing will be keeping power scaling. If we encounter people who are meant to be strong.. well I hope they are strong. This isn't BOTW where you play as a person whos forgotten everything, we are playing as one of the strongest pirates in the world and he should reflect that.
One thing I really don’t like from this game is how the character models clash with the environment so much. But at the very least, it’s not a quick cash grab anime game like Bamco uses to do, and I can see they have actual budget and effort put in it
I was really excited about this game but to be honest I wouldn't want to get my hope high. Remember the latest DW? It failed miserably to satisfied its fans. This game has open world, yes, but will there be much activities to do? Something that can make you hold your joystick for a long time? I really want to be optimistic but I just can't.
Why is Bandai Namco obsessed with hyper realism? Like holy fuck. This is the first game that Luffy's model doesn't look like shit and they decide to make the background look like a Unreal Engine 4 fan project.
Omg this looks amazing they should make it to wear u can choose the devil fruit, or not start out with one and come across random devil fruit but u have the choice of not eating it,
I really wanna watch One Piece but it is far af right now. It will take quite some time to catch up to the latest episodes, what you guys say? Should I do it?
