@@TheRecklessBravery he choked and accidentally positioned his hand holding his chopsticks in a way that they thought he's tryna catch Atomic sword with only chopsticks.
what's so good about King is that he wasn't just a useless character who can't fight that is used as a comedic purposes. he inspired others to become even stronger with his bs talk.
@Alex Luca true, you have to push it with your thumb first. You can see that King holds the sword to far away from the guard, so he couldn’t do it. A Novice mistake indeed 😌
The more impressive thing here is this- For Atomic Samurai, the consequences of challenging King, the Strongest Man on Earth were as follows: - Atomic Samurai faced *great shame* - Atomic Samurai has been *humbled* - His disciples have accepted and supported him through this great shame & defeat at the hands of King - His disciples have reasserted their loyalty to their Master - Atomic Samurai will redo his training from the start - Atomic Samurai will *grow stronger* from this encounter, both physically & mentally - King has earned enormous respect from Atomic Samurai and his disciples.. the legend continues and the word goes on to spread further.. don't challenge King.. or you will face great shame & ridicule
the funny thing is king's "fake" existance as a hero is literally never compromised or produces negative results and only ever brings positive to the association and the civilians around him, he's literally one of the most useful heroes out there possibly more useful than if he actually was just a badass looking saitama
King is too overpowering. He is occupation in the legendary S-Class Rank 7 Professional Hero of the Hero Association. He known as "The Strongest Man on Earth" (地上最強の男, Chijō saikyō no otoko) and "The Heroes' Hero". His strength is so feared that criminals and mysterious beings will often surrender before having to fight him. 1. Intimidating Aura King has a Strong Heartbeats, it known as The "King Engine" (キングエンジン, Kingu Enjin). King Engine is a rumbling sound that others claim to hear when King readies for battle or when he is generally serious. The sound has a formidable impact on his opponent's psyche. When King turns on his King Engine, the tiger level catastrophe below will run away and some other will passed out because of fear. Even the level of the dragon disaster is reluctant to think twice about attacking king. 2. Overwhelming Presence King has a intimidating facial expression, which scares off Villains and Mysterious Being. Due to King's reputation as the Strongest Man on Earth, King can manipulate people into fearing or even obeying him, and most of the time he never even realizes that he is doing so. During the Monster Association Arc, King stumbled upon a monster disguised as Waganma and stopped his own assassination by intimidating the monster into having a heart attack and melting. 3. Extreme Luck King has ridiculous amounts of Luck. Equal parts good and bad. He is able to thoroughly fool the media and the Hero Association, get all the credit for defeating opponents he never fought, become one of the most popular people on the planet, and has made extremely strong enemies back-off in fear when facing him. He always managed to get away from many dangerous or stressful situations that may potentially cost his life, popularity, or reveal his secret. During in manga when Atomic Samurai chalenged him to cut the apple with katana sword. He just sat there doing nothing staring at the apple while holding the katana sword and making Atomic Samurai want to train practice again from the start. 4. Genius Strategy King has a powerful skill that allows him to instantly think of and simulate strategies.when fighting mukade choro monsters with the threat of dragon levels that are even Silver Fang (Bang) and Oni Cyborg (Genos) cant defeat it and when attacking the headquarters of monster associations how king takes advantage of opportunities. 5. Master Gamer King is the strongest gamer in the world, having won multiple gaming competitions when he was younger. After Saitama's group was quickly wiped out in a gaming competition against the Blizzard Group, he single-handedly took out the other 30 contenders and won. His mastery is capable of overcoming some of the severest handicaps. For instance, King was capable of effortlessly defeating Saitama in a fighting game despite being low on health and using only two fingers. Imagine if in the real world king controls a Bofoi's robot (Metal Knight) by combining all of his skills. Basicaly King is Too Strong..
Madara: I WILL ENACT THE INFINITE TSUKI-- King: [Just walking by ...] ... Madara: K-King, what are you doing here? King: ... Madara: H-He's looking at me. Has he started his attack? No. I don't feel anything. I don't ... King: ... Madara: N-No, I don't feel anything. THAT MUST MEAN HIS ATTACK HAS ALREADY BEGUN! I CAN STILL-- King: ... Madara: "Go ahead, make your move"; that's what you're saying, aren't you? You're going to make me use my strongest Jutsu, aren't you? DO YOU PLAN ON HUMILIATING ME TO SUCH AN EXTENT! KIIIIIING! King: ... Madara: I'M SORRY! I'LL BE GOOD! PLEASE HAVE MERCY! King: ... Okay [Walks away] Madara: He ... he addressed me in such a way ... yes, I am nothing but an ant before you, aren't I? King ... I will do right by your decision to give me this second chance.

@@nameisname5566 The amount he'd win would be chump change compared to what the association is already giving him, meaning it'd take way too much effort to go out to a store and get a ticket compared to him just being there and getting paid fat stacks.
@@Jim-wb7hl Well dont u see in the manga king really hates to become a hero and really want to quit but the people are still concidering that king is an extremely strong being thats why king never quit the hero assosiation If u ask him would rather become a homeless people or become a hero im pretty sure that he would chose to become a homeless person
@@nameisname5566 Did you consider that King's Luck probably won't work on lottery tickets. For King's Luck to work he must be put in a hopeless situation where he shouldn't have a bit chance, that's how his Luck works. For him to be Lucky he must be put in Unlucky situation. He isn't lucky the way you think his lucky, when he wasn't a professional hero, he was always in places where monsters appears and wreck havoc, he just luckily survives, his luck isn't like Domino or squirrel girl's luck. Saitama even broke his PSP or whatever that he borrowed from him, that was unlucky but isn't a terrible luck so he can't magically fix it, he could just buy another one. So yeah, King won't win in a lottery but stay a professional hero cause that how his Luck works.
@@rekt_yer_nan_darding_5788 Basically: When Atomic Samurai slashes an apple, it splits into atoms. When Saitama cuts an apple, he cuts the atom itself, creating a nuclear explosion. When King cuts an apple, he fools everyone.
at a high enough speed particle relationships could have the ability to not be altered by an external force of course it would have to be at least thinner than an atom nuclei and made of neutronium
In chess, sometimes a strong opponent will make a bad move. But your respect for the opponent's skill makes you doubt yourself, and assume that he has planted a deep trap that will destroy you if you take the obvious bait. That's what King reminds me of. His superpower is his reputation.
The apple was cut at speed of light so technically he just cut through the 99% of the void between atoms in the apple. As expected from the strongest man on the earth!!!
@@animeslayergp9333 dude you can’t even imagine King’s real power. You didn’t even noticed Saitama finishes everyone with one punch why? King made them already dead but they didn’t noticed it until the punch
It seems King’s luck is taken from a teaching given by Miyamoto Musashi I believe where a chef was challenged to a duel by an artogant samurai and he couldn’t turn down the duel as it was shameful and dishonorable. He thought of running away but then decided to seek advice from the greatest swordsman about his plight. The advice was “put yourself in the most relaxed setting and do not let your fear in a fight stop you from facing your opponent”. He understood that he was a chef and advised him to relax himself and put himself in his own setting and be confident in his ability that he will fight. Upon the duel the chef had a sword and was utterly calm and collected and pulled out the sword ready to face battle with no hesitation. Upon seeing this the arrogant swordsman feared that he was actually facing a greater swordsman than himself and feared death. Fell to his knees and apologized for his arrogance and left elsewhere since he was a traveling swordsman.
Frieza, Merged Zamasu, Meruem, Original Life Fiber, the entire Otsutsuki clan combined, Acnologia, Air Man, Dio, etc. all roll up to King's apartment, hear the King Engine going crazy, and every last one of them scatters to different corners of the universe.
The best thing is King actually does have abilities. Extreme luck, lying abilities, and intimidation. It's also amazing the respect he commands of people without even asking all because they think he's strong.
More like “King has figured out the movement of the planet, and pushes in perfect rythm with it. That is why it appears as if he is perfectly still” and meanwhile King can’t even get out of the “down” position of the push-up
Hahaha, I love King! Used to hate him because he "stole" credit for Saitama's work, but he's extremely entertaining. It's rare that comics make me laugh out loud, but this definitely did it.
It's not like King wanted to steal Saitama's credit either. It happened completely on accident and he merely accepted the invitation to the Hero Association because it sounded cool to him. Unfortunately for King, he had no idea what he got himself into. He is usually really honest about what he says in his bluffs, but it's that people always misinterpret what he says which makes it funny.
@@datboy038 After the monster association arc, King was motivated to get stronger. To become a real S class hero so, he went to bang for teaching. With great resolve, Told him everything, that he was very weak, a fraud. He wants to become a real deal. But even Bang got terrified of his king engine. And advised him to not seek more power or else he will turn like Garou. King still insisted for teaching. Bang sent King to his brother bomb who said his technique was useless Infront of king martial style. So, he sent King to another dojo. Imagine all these king moments but with his own internal dialogue edited out. It would just be people's reactions and interpretations to his 'insane power' making him seem like a powerful beast
I feel like there's some potential for an abridgement there, when these scenes are animated. It's harder to carry out with the still mediums, because of pacing and the thought bubbles, but with the anime, all you would need to do would be to replace any lines during the internal monologue scenes with the King Engine
It's interesting to see King as a character that helps heroes become better versions of themselves. He's a hero alright, just not the type that fights, and he doesn't even mean to become one
"The apple didn't even know it had been cut." Yep, that's how it works. Flip it around you could even say that King didn't even CUT the thing to begin with.
LOOOL Trully a complete opposite of SAITAMA.... KING: Despite being extremely weak , he has some kind of magic to look overpowered. SAITAMA: Despite being overpowered , he has some kind of magic to look extremely weak......................... :DDDD
I think King has an ability. Sort of. It's the ability to project his fears and anxieties onto other people. Due to him not being known personally, the people idolize him as a limit. And whether they are afraid or want to surpass that limit is up to them. *Then there's Saitama.*
I mean Saitama too wouldve thought of King as THE big deal if he only knew about him later and didnt know, at least until he doesnt give a sh** about the bluff lol
This was literally one of the funniest moments I have ever read in any manga and it was supported by the brilliant buildup of King as a powerhouse. The level of comedic writing around the joke that is King's power honestly so GENIUS and deserves even more credit than it already receives. King was so well written. At first you're as in awe of the King as everyone else. Oh my god, how powerful is he? He looks like such a menace. Where did he get that scar? And then its revealed that he's actually just a coward and a gamer who has managed to stumble his way up to being such an admired and feared hero, which in itself is just hilarious. But then Saitama, an actual badass hero, is made privy to how pathetic King is and we get just a hilarious contrast between characters, but the joke that King is incredibly feared hasn't been lost and is only made better. It hits such a high note during the monster association arc, because we see the gimmick that is the King's notoriety take on a whole new level. He's facing threats that all of the S class heroes are struggling to win against their opponents, and then here comes King, a completely normal person, completely changing the tide of the battle by just standing there and acting normal. After that arc I literally did not think the comedy could be topped, but then this amazing chapter happens and has me rolling on the floor in tears from laughter. TLDR: King man funny, ONE good writer
Isnt anyone gonna point out that King inspired Atomic Samurai to become stronger? Trully he is the greatest hero that ever lived and an inspiration to us all!
King, the master of bluffs, talented gamer and the luckiest person to ever lived. How can somebody like him get through those situations with that kind of luck? Its so hilarious
I think they have distinct strengths to be compared. Oda is the better artist, can juggle hundreds of characters, and has proven himself with his narrative. One is no slouch in these departments (except with the art), and I personally like his deadpan humor better. It's to early to compare them though because One hasn't peaked as a manga artist, while Oda is still on the top competing with both seasoned and younger artists every month.
*Everyone sees how Saitama kills Deep Sea King with one punch* People: What a coward, stealing weakened enemy from other heroes. *King does absolutely nothing* People: What a terrifying power, I wonder what he can do to someone’s cheeks if he actually moves...
