OMG the level of satisfaction and happiness on Illia's face after finishing the last block was EPIC. Got to see Illia dancing after a long time why didn't Marina join in though 🤣. Great achievement guys. The amount of time and hard work you guys are putting in is commendable 3 cheers to you guys.
Will you be selling some of your pumpkin harvest? Have you ever shared how the two of you met and I've just missed that vlog? You seem to have a mutual respect for one another and appear very happy together. Just wondering. And I actually enjoy the longer episodes.😊
Illia, you will have a room you can warm up in during the winter. Adding each block is like dismantling a library. The best advice now is "be the ant". I can see Illya's patience gets worn sometimes. It's good he has you, Maryna. 😊🍻
Your pumpkins are just the right size for my grandchildren to carve faces for Halloween. Beautiful size and color. Both of you worked very hard on the hemp insulation. Maybe put in a suggestion to make a larger sheet of the brick hemp, say 2 feet by 3 feet, so the work would go faster and easier for you. Another idea is to blow in the loose hemp behind the blocks. I can see the frustration and relief on Illia face. I would be dancing all the way to a beer commercial. Great job!
The house will be snug and well insulated. Consider leaving a block or three out to use as niches for books or plants or artwork. Seeing the old brick will give the interior a glimpse of the age of the house. The window sills would look good with some thick slabs of well grained wood. You're making great progress and doing it right. Best to all!
Illya, you are a genius insulating, measuring blocks to fit unusual wall spaces by height and width rock star!!!! Marina, you are a genius hemp packing, climbing scaffolding, offloading additional hemp blocks rock star!!! Annika, you are a ubiquitous, aware of all things and changes rock star. Huzzah, team DeHoeve! I like long videos. Shows how meticulous you need to be! It's totally inspiring to watch. Persevere, guys! We viewers are in awe of you both!👌💫💯👍😊💞
A very tedious job. There are so many steps involved getting the hemp blocks fitted, cut, mudded in, screwed to wall, and then backfilled. I hope it will turn out as you are expecting after all that work👍🏻🥰🥴Are you and your family still hoping to move in next spring?
Now that’s a very sincere looking pumpkin patch. Nothing but sincerity as fsr as the eye cane see. No doubt The Great Pumpkin will rise up from that patch. 😊
When you get enough finished that you can "live" there, will you move in? Living in a construction zone gets old real fast but it's easier to "work from home" rather than planning time and driving there to work. What a milestone for this week. How will you explain to Annekia that the kitties who move in are not trespassing in her house?
Do you know your cat is always the star of the show? Thank you for sharing this small accomplishment with us. You both must feel relieved to have one room completely finished with insulation. I loved seeing all the beautiful pumpkins!
Hooray or more like Juhúú!! 😁 Those pumpkins and squash look lovely despite the crazy weather. They look good enough for decoration and/or make something delicious. Will you save some of the seeds and replant them for next year?
After all this time still my renovation channel number 1 and with a big lead team "De Hoeve" with Marina & Illia and children. Not only does the thermal insulation better stabilize the walls and thus the house, it also increases the value of the property immensely. The rooms are still large in comparison, but can be heated a lot better. If you look at the rising energy costs, you will save quite a bit of money over the next few years. In my opinion, the extra work is definitely worth it. I look forward to your video every Tuesday folks. The cat inspector no longer monitors you at work, who knows there are professionals at work. Oh yes, almost forgot: Well done Illia! 💪
You should get a decent hand truck or "steekwagen". It will help you moving those hemp blocks and sooner or later you'll need one for the oven/furnace!
Congratulations on finishing the room! Great job! And I love the longer videos! Keep them coming. Nice harvest on the pumpkins. You have a nice variety and some really unique ones.
The first renovated room is always a milestone. The pumpkins are beautiful. They are my favorite to grow. No two are ever alike and they all seem to have a personality.
Those pumpkins are still looking good even though we were in a drought right 😅 our potato harvest was one of the best ones we've basically ever seen haha, I guess the plants put all their nutrients underground where they needed it... great job on insulating 👌
Hurray 🎉 the room is beautiful! I’m very happy for both of you because it’s an important milestone in the renovation - it will help keep you motivated to complete the next area.
A Illia said, 'Yahoo"! It is so good to see you guys making progress. Just keep going, you will get there! Thank you for sharing your wonderfull adventure!
Awww Illia, you work so very hard, I loved your little dance of happiness when you finally finished the room. You are going to have a beautiful home when it's all finished, and you will certainly have earned it. I think your little foreman/woman Anika, is too comfortable with you guys, I think you have adopted her but just don't know it yet, lol. ❤️❤️
I can tell you are putting in the extra mile with your time-lapse and artistic shots, it is really paying off and the difference in skill from when you first started until now is noticeable. Your hard work in both the house and camera work is really showing!
I don’t know how you keep going with the same process over and over again. It must seem never ending at times. You both have a lot of patience to do all of that yourself. I guess once it is all completed you will have the full satisfaction that you both did the majority of work yourselves. I take my hat off to you both and salute you to keeping the house as authentic as possible but if not keeping it as natural and organic as possible and reusing as much of what you have already. It’s been a pleasure watching your journey so far!
These must really keep the heat in. You can tell by the thorough way the catspector is testing them. You guys are AMAZING!!!! can not believe how far you've come along. Pat yourselves on the back, and have a beer. Give some catnip to Anneke aka(catspector). She's done a great job too!! Nice pumpkins!! I love fall/Autumn.
Loved the cat even inspecting the van. Joy of of a job well done. How many other external walls will you have to insulate? Any more downstairs and what about bedrooms? Even harder, lifting equipment and materials to upper floors. Your amazing dedication is regular viewing as you are both so enthusiastic.
