Luke's HCM was already killing him here, plus Natham was warmed up and was not messing around. Luke was overrun at the same court that lainched him into the Ravens when he beat Nathan in that epic ep. 1 1 on 1. So Nate had some extra motivation to whoop his ass. Like should've said NO to this one on one offer or simply said aight gimme a few minutes to stretch out and warm up
@@donsosa7940 i mean, except their opening 1 on 1 matchup where Luke was motivated to the max and played his best game, while Nathan was trying to trash talk and showboat - and Luke knew this court like his own pocket - they didnt play any 1 on 1, until Nate demolishes him here, with Luke energy completely eroded due to HCM. Also they played a game in alternate universe where Luke was a bad boy, but he got handled pretty easily by Nathan there. As for the team play, Nate at the start was a selfish scorer, while Luke turned out to be a better option at SG so Whitey played with the lineups. Luke was shown to be a better team player and great at passing and a better pure 3pt shooter. Nate was of course better overall, a scorer, and both didnt play much defense. Nathan was the Durant of that team and Luke was the Klay Thompson.
I know since Lucas was diagnosed HCM the game was unfair, he was still better than the average without the meds though, but never came to the same lavel again... Plus since Nate came backfrom High Flyers he started to really crush it... Went all Basket God... Adding to that all the hatred and resentment about Haley, Luke had zero chance here... Nate just ate him alive...
@@tristarsayumwe7749 Lucas was always better than Nathan in basketball. The show writers essentially depowered him to make him a writer, when in reality, he could have done both, went pro in basketball and just become a writer/author in his retirement.
+Kathryn Orozco In season 2, Nathan caught wind that Lucas was investigating Dan to "bring him down" out of revenge for what he did to him, his mom, and everyone else in town. Nathan told him to drop it, but Lucas kept doing it. Once Nathan found out, he was pissed and felt betrayed by his brother. Not to mention Lucas is best friends with Haley, who left him to go on tour, add all that in the mix makes for a pretty pissed and hateful Nathan.
Also Nathan was pissed that Lucas went to New York to see Haley on tour and lied about it, and then Nathan found the divorce papers that Haley had given to Lucas to give to Nathan and he completely lost it and was done with Lucas and all his lies
At first Nathan was fine with Lucas investigating Dan, but then he told him to drop it when his mom came home from rehab because he thought she wanted them all to be a family. When Deb told Nathan she was going to get a divorce he was happy, but then she had to stall and he knew it was because Lucas was still investigating Dan and got some dirt on him. Nathan confronted Lucas about it and in doing so also found out that Lucas went to see Haley in New York and brought back the annulment papers without telling Nathan. He felt betrayed because Lucas kept 2 important things from him that affected him both times (that his mother can't have her divorce and they have to stay with Dan longer, and that Haley signed the papers and Lucas saw her).

I feel like Lucas let him win knowing how stupid it was although Nathan really did get better but damn Lucas could’ve showed he still had it in him
