I think it’s a great thing. Until you need that long, thin shank because some genius engineer put a ph 2 down a 4 inch tube of plastic. Good thing they sell extra shanks so you can keep a couple of long ones in your bag too! This is gonna be epic when combined with my tool check plus.

I have the same vessel phillips ratcheting screwdriver. I still haven't used the phillips part of the driver. I just pull it off and keep using it as a stubby ratcheting driver. Greatest stubby driver of all time.

@@thingsmen I've been a fan of Vessel when I discovered they acquired the Ball Grip patent from Craftsman when they were going through financial ruin. I like how they've improved the Ball Grip over the decades. Anex's products looks like they're gonna have a nice spot in my tool rotation.

Nice, now I can almost get my perfect screwdriver, a Vessel ball with a #2 Robertson bit. Of course the bit holder is too wide to fit inside a breaker so the wait continues for the real perfect screwdriver, but this will still be nice for most things
@johnpelkey1375
@johnpelkey1375 Год назад
You could use a 2" bit instead of a 1" (1 3/16") bit.
@onikwa
@onikwa Год назад
@@johnpelkey1375 I've done that but the longer the bit the more pronounced the wobble is from the 1/4" socket which makes it unusable in my opinion

Looks good, but for me having the bit holder so close to the end is a deal breaker. For my Vessel ratchet screwdriver, I bought various off the shelf driver bits and 3d printed my own tapered, knurled collars and glued them on to look like the originals. Now I have pozidriv, ordinary Phillips and the Vessel JIS bits in lengths that suit my particular needs.
@thingsmen

Agree that overall it should be shorter

Hey I have a question. Trying to figure out if mine is defective or if it's normal. When you turn the stubby slowly does it let go at some point? Like turns quicker, and then tightens up?
@thingsmen

No mine is consistent throughout the whole turn.

You can purchase the fixed drivers as well. Also worth noting that these do fully lock up like fixed drivers but do have a tiny bit of play.
@Omnivorous1One
@Omnivorous1One Месяц назад
@@thingsmenso you can turn off the ratchet function? Do you know if their shorter 200W one will have excess play when using a bit holder? Like does it require one of the long driver bits that are like 4” long in order to lick up firmly?
@thingsmen
@thingsmen Месяц назад
@@Omnivorous1One not sure I understand the question but their drivers have just a tiny amount of play. If you want one that completely locks up get the Annex. It’s a ball grip too and very impressive. 👍🏻

LOTS of play in the stubby when it comes to bit holding. Oddly, it holds my Milwaukee bits SUPER tight so that I have to use pliers to get them out. Even the factory bit fits like trash.

I'm gonna see how a set of the JIS Vessel bits go in my PB Swiss tools ratcheting driver. They better be as good as everyone says they are. PB Swiss Tools guarantee their bits for life and were tested as the strongest out of all screwdrivers in the universe on a Project Farm video. If these JIS bits aren't better then the internet is wrong and I'm suing the creator of the world wide web for negligence leading to the incitement of LIES.

nope. Way too top heavy and long - It will tumble out of your side pockets at some point and leave a notch in the hardwood floor....

put the handle end in your pocket first and be careful taking it out? pretty simple solution
@JokerInk-CustomBuilds
@JokerInk-CustomBuilds 3 месяца назад
@@StephenMcGregor1986 Problem is that being carefull is only a solution until you forget to be carefull and jam that bit into your wrist going for something else in the same pocket... or it will poke your side when kneeling down... or scrape you by simply swinging your arm past it while working. Another problem with carrying upside down is that everytime you need to use it you have to take it out of the pocket and then flip it in your hand. If you need it once during the day thats fine. but when you need it 7000 times during a day that extra step is a hazzle that might make you drop the driver from a ladder and then having to go back down. I am an electrician. I carry lots of screwdrivers daily and i pull them in and out of pocket 1000s of times daily.... I am talking from my own experience.
