I grew up in the USA back in the 1960s when there was no internet and very few TV channels (only 3). We went outside every day for entertainment in the summer. It was great.

Starting the dumpster on fire behind 7-11, jamming to a tape played on a ghetto blaster that took 20 pounds of D cell batteries and getting that first piece of shit car so you can take off. Jeff’s Camaro only seats four, so if you’re the fourth person besides Jeff to show up at the lunch bell, you weren’t going to get high on stoney bud. Homework was all paper, typewriter and card catalogues.

Was für ein schönes Video, ich musste so oft schmunzeln und hatte die ganze Zeit über ein wundervolles Gefühl von Nostalgie weil mich so vieles einfach an meine eigene Jugend auf einem Dorf in Ost-Deutschland erinnert hat, zu einer Zeit als es noch keine Handys und kein Internet gab. Und Obstbäume waren bei uns auch nicht sicher, alles was greifbar war wurde probiert. 😂
Ich war vor zwei Wochen in Russland (St. Petersburg, Moskau und Tambow sowie solche Dörfer) und bin absolut begeistert von den Menschen, der Selbstachtung, der Natur... Unbeschreiblich. Jetzt verstehe ich auch, warum unsere westlichen Regierungen dermassen gegen Russland poltern - weil die Russen wirklich viel richtig machen.

I married into a Russian family, and my wife's dacha in the countryside in Kirovskaya was absolutely the best place to spend a week just...living, and being human among family. Thank you for sharing this fun video. I have my own dacha in the USA, but it's deep in the wilderness of Michigan, where my neighbors are not quite as nice - bears, mosquitoes, and teenagers on 4x4s (making a mess of things). :)

Absolutely love this. Village life is the best life. We realize that as we grow older. Your younger life was very similar to mine in rural Quebec. I long for it. The dad shashlik overseer burping and doing a "heh" face was just perfect.

I certainly enjoyed this video. It is nice to see a slice of life from a rural village in Russia. I feel like I have a lot in common with you and your family. I live in the state of Mississippi in the United States, and I can't afford to travel right now. However, this is better than visiting the usual tourist traps in Europe.

@@natyrusa true. There are some totalitarian countries in the world. Compared to Iran, i estimate that only maybe 20% of the people support their governmennt. So the government is the enemy of freedom and justice. But in Russia 70% support Putler so not Putler is our enemy but majority of the russians!
Our family moved from a small village in Kazakhstan to Hamburg, Germany when I was 4 years old. Seeing this video was so heartwarming it genuenly made me tear up because I thought of how peaceful of a life I might have missed there.
