Locs really help you grow to love your natural self, I always felt like “how much of a baddie are you if you can’t love yourself at your most natural?”

I feel you with the different stages, the journey can get challenging but I think the confidence grows over time. I use to like the neat look for work but now I just stopped caring what people think which has made a huge difference

We have to shift the language we use to describe our essence in every manner. Words like, "unkept, put together, and presentable" must be retired from our vocabulary as black women. We are beautiful in all forms period.

I also started my loc journey a year ago! I decided during quarantine cuz doing my hair everyday was a hastle. It's been an interesting journey and I relate to the feeling of wanting to hide your hair when it hasn't been retwisted in a while, but now that my hair looks like real locs I've gotten more comfortable. 😊

Wow! This video is so similar to the one I’m about for post in a couple of weeks!!! I’m heading to loc my hair on the 14th and I’m super excited! I cut my hair completely off in 2018 and went thought a state of depression and have been struggling with my hair ever since so I’m ready to loc it NOW! 🥰 you’re loc journey is so beautiful
