I saw your sweet humble honest face and felt bad for smiling when you forgot momentarily what a sunroof is called and laughing out loud slapping my knee when you discovered you`d locked yourself in the rear seat. Great review with great insights. Felt like a friend was talking rather than a rehearsed script. Thank you. Helped a lot.

Had one of these shape accords too, mine was excellent it had 179k on it and that's one car I regret selling, I'm still keeping an eye on its mot history and its still on the road now with 196k miles 2 years later from me owning. Very reliable, nippy too, very nice notchy gearboxes unlike stupid annoying clunky German VW/Skoda/Audi gearboxes... I might buy another accord. They are that good!! Great review 👌

Great cars. I own a 2004 Tourer. Agree with everything you say. I owned Ford Mondeos before this. As they got older things stopped working. Everything on the Honda still works! Feels like it's built by engineers rather than accountants!

I like what you've done with the video. Nice review. I've had my 2003 CL9 Type-S for two years now and I've been loving it. Has it's issues and parts that went bad but having bought a car used and it was built in 2002, wear and tear is a must. Overall it has been running good. Regular maintenance and proper handling let's any vehicle, especially a car like this, to last and run well.

I have the 2007 2.0 litre petrol SE model, which has the later, slightly Tweaked engine and I get 43mpg + if I don’t try out the VTEC too much. It has been the best overall car that I’ve ever had. About the only thing I can criticise it, is the for the ride which is firm. The droplinks need replacing regularly to stop any light clonking. Regarding the ride noise, I think it is pretty quiet, compared to competitors, but it’s really sensitive to the type and make of the tyres. cooper tyres are particularly quiet. The overriding impression is that it is super tight, very well built and everything just works with an unerring precision. It’s super reliable and still looks contemporary after all these years. I’m on 130000 miles and it feels like new in many ways, it uses no oil, always starts and none of the doors have dropped. All the doors shut with a quite whomp that puts VW to shame. The air con is on its original gas and chills the car beautifully. All parts are original, bar two callipers at the rear, 4 discs/ rotors and pads. It’s easy on the tyres and overall it’s the cheapest car I have ever run and I’ve had it for 4.5 years and 80000 miles. Oh, and corrosion, I have a tiny mark on the rear arch, that’ll take half an hour to sort. These things do not rust. Look at most Audi A3/4 or Golfs and this will not be the case, they are so much more rusty.If you want to run a car on a shoe string, get yourself a 2007 Honda Accord Euro....it’ll cost you less than £2000, wash it and polish it and it’ll look like new, I guarantee it! A brilliant car. After this one, I’ll just get the later 2008 model. Nice review.

Thank you for your honest review, I just bought a 2003 accord 2000 with 147000km on the clock. I did change a few parts, all oils and filters, cleaned the MAP sensor and the EGR valve as a precautionary measure. It feels like a much newer car. Since you have mentioned it, I bought this after a 2000 318 BMW. Believe me, the trouble the BMW gave me is unbelievable. I sold it and it still had a water leak no one could trace. The cooling system on it was appalling. The Accord is a much better car altogether.

This model in Australia is called Honda Accord Euro (luxury). Honda have a standard larger Accord for the years 2003-2005. I had the 2004 model in 2007/8 and I loved it. The best Honda Accord review on RU-vid. I rarely take notice of professional reviewers who have a car for a day, do their best to find negatives and usually criticise it for not being sporty. Spare bottle of engine oil. That's about it. There's literally nothing else that could leak, break, sweat, apart from engine potentially taking some oil (normal behaviour in Honda VTEC engines). I'd say it still wouldn't take that much but just have some spare in the trunk. That's about it.

I have the 2.4 (petrol) and find it’s OK, nothing more, nothing less. The interior plastics are very poor quality look and feel but seem to last and the engine is a joy above 5000rpm but below that feels lost in what should be a junior executive, probably use more petrol revving it hard everywhere I honestly thought it was broke or running on 3 cylinders for the first week I had it! (At the same time though it seems very frugal?!? ) as a cheap reliable banger they don’t disappoint, just don’t expect to get exited about it
@jacklee7104
@jacklee7104 4 года назад
Lord Rupert exact opposite I hope! My previous car was a Rover 820 that was much less Rev happy but would pull much better from low speeds and low RPM and that was a 20 year older engine with less HP. Although they shared lots of tech (Honda-Rover) in the 80’s I assumed the much newer, larger engined Accord would have been smoother and more powerful (it is on paper) not the other way round! It is still a decent motor though, and will probably last forever
