OneLive: The Story of OxiWear 

Shavini Fernando is a Sri Lankan MedTech entrepreneur and the founder of OxiWear.
She was a student at Georgetown University when she was diagnosed with a life-threatening condition related to heart and lungs known as Eisenmenger’s Syndrome. Instead of letting the condition get the best of her, she came up with an innovative device that not only saved her life but is also able to touch the lives of many other estranged souls. Branded ‘OxiWear’ Shavini’s wearable tech device alerts users when their oxygen levels drop critically low.
Since then, Shavini has inspired a countless number of people, which in turn resulted in her getting dubbed as the “Wonder Woman” of Sri Lanka. Shavini has also been recognized both locally and globally with the newest feather on the cap, becoming a DCFemTEch 2019 award recipient.
