As further follow up, this tutorial has been a revelation. I have a notebook for each main task and a section for each period. All comments, emails, models and notes are embedded as pages. This self documents each significant task. All information is in one place. Thank you very much. I have made so much progress in a couple if weeks. Hadn't even heard of one note three weeks ago.
I was hesitant this morning when I found out a new training session I will be taking would be using OneNote. After your video I am no longer hesitant, as a matter of fact I am trilled about using it and can think of many other ways of integrating into my work and personal life. Thank you!
Thank You Sean and Learnit for this course.I have started applying what I learnt in this course and the results are amazing. Thank You all once again !!!
I have been struggling to find software that is good enough to be a personal wiki to store story ideas into text words to save for later reference. I have started using One Note since February (4 months now) and I have to say, I am so glad I did as it solves so many issues I had with other software that either charge a subscription service or is convoluted to use or set up. The fact that it is free to use and offers 5GB is more than enough for what I need it for. I do have 1TB since I have a Microsoft 365 suite. I just starting to dabble deeper into what else it can do aside from making tabs and adding pages into it. The Wiki function is by far one of my favorites feature to point to other ideas in or outside of One note itself.
Excellent Video! I haven't explored One Note before and I would like to let you know that this presentation has been very helpful. I practiced all of the teachings of this training and I feel very confident of using One Note from now on. For every 5 minutes, I was able to pause and practice what was taught in this video. Awesome presentation and well paced presentation!
You guys are awesome. Microsoft courses just the way it should be taught. I have been looking for one note training and I need not look any further..... Can't wait for this
One of the best oneNote tutorial in RU-vid. Thank you so much for making this video. I learn many things from your channel. Best of luck. Many many loves from Bangladesh.
My gosh you rock. This is an excellent video. You made it look so easy too (doing the video, not just the incredible content on OneNote). Just awesome.
Several have commented about the different look of OneNote from the one they may be using. The 2016 version of OneNote is the older version, though still may be used by some. If you are a 365 subscriber you can download both versions on your Windows PC. I find the newer version to be better for what I use it for. I will admit that the older looking ribbon has tools that are easier to access if you type a lot of text.
"It's important to note" - While this video has excellent content, you will pay the price with a distracting amount of ads. Whenever I encounter a video with this many ads, I normally just pack up and move on down the road. However, this one imparts enough knowledge to make it worth tolerating the ads. It's pretty close though.
Thank you for this awesome tutorial; I use it for me and my team! with what I learned it will allow me to prioritize my tasks and better note taking in my meetings!!!
Hi I love this video. It has so much more than anything else I have seen. I teach using OneNote. I wonder how you show your cursor (I see in your video you use arrows and rectangle to indicate what you are referring to.) Could you please explain how you do that?
Thank you, I never used OneNote before and this video has taught me so much. You really covered so much material. Do you happen to have any written material or user guide available to download? I am subscribing to your channel and will keep this video for future reference.
My view looks different from yours and I can't get it to match. Can you help? I'd like to see the tabs go across the top and all the editing options. Plus, I don't have "file" to left of "home". thanks!
An excellent training video, with well organised information clearly presented in suitable bite sizes. And speaking as a software trainer myself, this was a job well done.
Excellent tutorial, all that I can ask for. Is there a major difference between the app Onenote for windows 10 and the desktop software OneNote? Any preference? Thank you
I have two questions. so When I am trying to transfer a certain file I want it to go to the windows 10 for OneNote and not the older one. Question 2. I have duplicate versions of a certain file some of the files have more than the other but one has a all new file. How do I merge the together?
I have a problem with the One Note. Every time I insert a PDF file, each page comes out separate from each other. So, I can't swipe between pages. This makes it difficult for me to take notes. What could I do? P.S. Greetings from Peru
I am using Onenote between my PC, iPad and iPhone. I am finding the iPhone Onenote does not have all the options that the PC or iPad have. Is this correct? If not what am I not doing correctly to make the other options show up on my phone! Thanks
TY for this, it is so helpful! I am more than half way but stopped because you made me laugh. "...Rewind the video if you have to because this page wasn't here before...", LOL TY for a great experience.
Started the video and immediately your screen is different than mine. I am in W10 but do not have File, History or Review tabs, makes it hard to reconcile right off the bat?
Good Idea if you have desktop is to install 2016. The new One Note version is scaled down. It has no history tab and no backroom file tab Ideally you should have both versions and move between both.
Hi I teach using OneNote. When I write(draw) "+" sign, it automatically attaches left and top points and it looks like a "4". The same issue happens when I write"=", "7", "11" etc. I would be thankful if you could help me with this.
Whoa!!!! Hold up! At 38:14-how did you get the days to automatically correct themselves??? Enquiring minds want to know! I've rewatched that part about 7 times and still can't figure it out!!!
worst thing about one note is printing and converting it to PDF. it will just destroy everything specially when you are the type of typing horizontally and making diagrams to the right.
Please I need your help. In OneNote 2016 when I search for anything, the text of the search has changed to black; how can I change it white color? Even if I change the OS from Dark mode to Bright mode the same behavior happens.
This support article form Microsoft may help: support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-the-default-font-in-onenote-d6d718ef-a2ce-4a02-af43-8902239bdb80
Why not start the course by explaining what OneNote is useful for, whilst highlighting its strongest features by presenting relevant user cases?? (Rather than drone on and on and on about bloody menu options - most of which are pretty common across ALL Microsoft Office applications!)
Dude, you should add like about 200 more commercials. There really just weren't enough to keep me excited. I mean, yes, I did curse at the screen a lot, and I thought about just dropping out of the tutorial. (I may yet do that, I'm only a little less than half-way through as I write this, with much irritation.) Seriously. If you want to make money, sell the damn thing. The commercials are just majorly irritating. And for that reason, I gave you a thumbs down.
i want to use a writing pen for Onenote, do you have any recommendations on a digital or stylus to use to write instead of using a mouse? i dont want to write on a laptop but on a mousepad or table
Dear Sean, I can't explain how useful this training has been! While watching it, I created my own notebook!! I'm loving what little I have begun using of OneNote, and ruing that I didn't start using it sooner!! Your explanations are clear and the examples are extremely relevant!! Thanks a million!!
