Rogerie Patricio the standard OnePlus 3 was faster than the S7 Edge already, and you can even see the stutter on the performance part of the video from the S7 lol. The S7 is surely a great phone, but hard to justify the price when the 3T does almost everything as good or better and no he's not exaggerated, my coworker has a OP3 and is as good as he describes

Pocketnow I have watched the video. I always do. To get news about softwares and new phones but this video?? That comparison ain't worth it. Well there are so many phones in the market that came after Galaxy S7edge but because your fear is it is the best, you're making a video to compare with it. Why not compare with Mate 9 or Honor 8. They are great phones Or the Google Pixel

What do you need to defend it from? He said it was a good phone with a few things that are better than the 3T. But the fact is, for the vast majority of smartphone users those few things will not be worth $250 more. This is exactly what a flagship killer is meant to do.

Beto Aguirre they already made a phone with 6gigs and the latest chipset at the time of release and it was $400. The T adds a very welcomed bigger battery (in the same body of the same weight, makes you wonder if they planned not giving us as big a battery as possible from the first version) and a much less welcomed better front cam for $40 more. I'd personally go for the T over the regular 3 for the battery alone of course but the point is they didn't NEED to hike the price, they only did it because people will pay,,, which makes them no better than Apple, Samsung, HTC (SD810 Bolt for $650, really??), or Sony (nothing special X series for up to $700, really??). So much for their 'Flagship Killer' moniker.

The newer chip sets come out months before their release at premiums. By the end of 2016, the 821 may have a better price considering the new Spring/Summer phones will be on to the next (835?).

Actually they charge about the same time...Galaxy only takes less than 10 more min to charge completely compared to the OP3T. While still having a larger battery.You can look up the video.

The fact that S7 edge has been out for nearly a year and still regarded as the best smart phone of the year, holding its own against very recent releases such as one plus 3T and iphone 7 speaks volumes of its quality. Samsung really have done an amazing job with the phone!

Exynos=Better Battery(only slightly) SnapDragon= Better Performance But op3 and op3t give Samsung really hard push. You are comparing #1 Giant Samsung vs Uprising company OnePlus. In quick time it entered Top 5 best performing phones.That is really good.

En Force I fully agree with you. I am samsung fanboy but I really do like the way in witch oneplus three are heading. Fast performance big battery and slight skin over android. Well there are some compromises but that is because of the price. And dont forgwt that it is unlocked. On the other hand the s7 is almost one year old.

I got rid of my S7 Edge for the Oneplus 3T and I'm not missing the Samsung at all. Charging sucked on the S7 and it always overheated. Not with the Oneplus. 0-100% in 1 hour and the phone doesnt even get hot. The interface is much better too. I love it.

You can easily find a used s7 edge in mint condition for 430$ or so. I would buy s7 edge. Also not mentioned is s7 edge supports more bands and op3t doesn't even support cdma so carriers like Verizon and sprint are out of question

Unless you need a VR ready phone or the best camera, you have to go 3T here. OnePlus is more durable, charges faster, has cleaner (customizable) software, a faster fingerprint reader, a higher base storage at a lower price, has better audio output, uses USB C, is much quicker with less lag, has better multitasking, etc.

Kenny Woodard u do know the Samsung charges faster right? like seriously? the charging time depends on a lot of factor the s7 edge I found where you shut off most of the things you don't need it charges way faster I found it runs a lot more factory apps than the op 3t. I've tested it whatever that charging time you get is way wrong what samsung told you it takes a whole lot less

Samsung has better marketing and brand recognition, that's all. Most Samsung or iphone users have never heard of Oneplus, not to mention that OP can only be bought from the manufacturer, rather than being marketed by all the mobile providers through their plans. I think the S7 edge has one of the most interesting designs for a phone, and it's probably the best android phone you can get right now if you don't consider the price. However, if you're going for a "smart" purchase, the OP3T objectively outshines the S7 edge for the simple fact that it's about 40% cheaper for a similar performance and build quality. Phones aren't generally where people look for high cinematic quality - you're only getting a 5.5" screen no matter how many pixels you've got. Likewise, any picture you're taking will be outshined by any DSLR camera.

Have S7 edge for 20months now, and it is superior. But I have to say that 3T keep its price better and it's just a faster and more fluid experience as I know from my friends. So it is an outstanding phone and was a great buy 1 year ago, and still is. Thumbs up to companies like One Plus to bringing something new to the table!

It's a lot more rewarding tbh when you wait 3 years then upgrade, you notice how much better of a phone you're getting compared to upgrading every year. I went from a 2010 Samsung Galaxy Ace to an Galaxy S3 then an LG G4.

RAYDi8OR Correct to a certain degree. I went from an Xperia Arc S (single core 1.4ghz+512mb ram) to an LG G2 (quad 2.3ghz+2gb ram),,, it was like a Neanderthal driving a sports car. Right now, I would never feel the same because 2013/2014 devices are still so good that I got real picky regarding upgrading. I might got for an S8 or an iPhone 7 this year but I expect either of them to be just a different experience, not necessarily better, just different.

Beastly G TOuchwiz has been heavily optimized. Oxygen OS has its own issues especially with freezes and "Android has stopped" errors which are quite frequent with the nightlies.

Swiping your hand over screen to wake is available on Gs7edge. He has too much hate on Samsung that he didn't have time to see that. I love my Exynos 8890 S7edge Great phone of all time.. 3 months old and no lag. Plays games of 2GB memory. not one or two.. Got GTA SAN ANDREAS, NFS most wanted Battlefield and other small games and still snappy. opens apps smoothly don't know what he is talking about

Fanboys think touchwiz is great. I came from Samsung. Ram management sucks on touchwiz. 4gb memory and cant even hold 3 or more tasks. Anything over 3 apps will refresh when you switch over. Also whole system slows down after adding apps. Had Note 5 and S6 edge. Now Nexus 6p. Its night and day difference. Again I was Samsung user....i will go back to Samsung when they release Google Play edition.

I love my OnePlus 3T. Already loaded Nougat. They also fixed the motion stabilization for the camera slightly in the 4.0.3 update. All for 250$ less. You however cannot knock the Edge. The better screen makes all the difference in VR. I just couldn't justify it for the price difference. Super happy with my purchase. It is a beast. Dash charging is ridiculous. I charge it for less than 30 minutes a day and it never drops below 30%.

+Anonymous One Yeh... And now look at multiple comparisons between OP3 and S7. Even OP3T was beaten by the exynos S7 in a few comparisons in terms of speed. Don't know which one though, I watches many of them. All in all = these speed tests are kinda irrelevant. It's just like drop tests, it's random. Sometimes one phone will perform better and sometimes even a midrange $200 will outperform a flagship.

You forgot to mention the One Plus doesn't support all frequencies for LTE and is limited to some markets. What about VR and Gear S3 integration? Have you even used the Samsung SideSync? I think apart from just the hardware, there are fair few features that normal user doesn't know before they use Samsung phones. Just trying to voice it out. I'm not on Samsung myself but stating the obvious.

you also forgot to include major convenience items on the S7 like Samsung Pay, wireless charging, fast charging, ultra power saving mode. If you remove the bloat ware or even change launchers it runs even faster. Not to mention most retailers in my area offer a free S watch with the purchase of a new S7/ Edge. Just a little food for thought if you compare the devices go through features not just hardware.

1. Most of the planet will get S7 edge with the exynos that shits on any current cpu besides the apple one 2. S7E has much better camera 3. Much better battery life 4. Its as fast charging as the 3T as pointed by several videos 5. It has FAST wireless charging that 3T can only dream on. 5. The global S7E with exynos has much better gpu than the 3T and helps a lot in gaming.

Yeah if you have 700 or 800 dollars lying around doing nothing and you want to throw it at a "slightly" better smartphone than a budget one, then good for you. I don't have a lot of money, but the OP3T definitely has more value in it than the Samsung. All the extra gimmicks and features are just not worth another 300 or even 400 dollars.

STRICTLY MY OPINION: The S7 is better because of the edge display, the display in general, the camera by far, the better battery & IP68. These are things that truly matter...don't kid yourself Jaime'. Yeah, its pricey, but lets be honest, like anything in life, you get what you pay for. And no, I'm not saying the 1+ is a bad phone.

Jaime S7 Expandable storage up to 200gb, that beats built in storage anyway. SuperSaf TV did a charging comparison between the two and the 3T finished only 6 minutes earlier, but that's negligible due to the S7e larger battery 3T has dual sim support but there is an S7e dual variant, which uses exynos chip which is faster anyway and also has root support. TouchWiz needs more credit than you are giving it. The nougat features on marshmallow is a huge deal. Multi window and quick swapping are major conveniences. Not to mention Grace UX is beautiful and is butter smooth. And lastly you mentioned 3T has better battery life, why you lying Jaime? S7e now has performance mode and gaming mode which optimizes your phone for extended use while gaming. Another exquisite touchwiz feature. Samsung is not slouching in anyway this year they easily take the win on every single account

No, Expandable Storage is in no way better then built in storage, it forces you to manually distribute with things you want on your SD Card and which things you want on your build in storage, besides, it means that besides the extra 250$ you also have to buy a decent card, so it's way worse. TouchWiz is garbage, ruining what could have been a good phone, go look at other comments saying that their S7 is lagging thanks to that shitty UI. Samsung will never be the best phone of the year, because they release their stuff at March/April, so they are already entering this contest with a disadvantage, as such stuff like the OP3 and even more the OP3t has plenty of time to adjust and make improvements. But you do have the best Screen, and one of the best Cameras though (the Pixel probably has it beaten).

At this point it's very hard to back up that claim, the only thing it can claim over other cellphones is the Camera, and even that one is beaten by the Pixel or the iPhone 7 Plus. Now, you can say that it's your favorite, and that would be fine, but it's not the best, not by a long shot.

Kyle Weinrich I've heard that happens to many others. I personally uses Oneplus device since the 1+2 and it never once slowed down on me during the last 1.5 year. The only other phone I would consider is the pixel 2 xl, because I had the chance to try one out at my local carrier store and the stock android feel really good, and it's blazing fast! But that's 500$ more here in Canada, and for someone who upgrade their phone once a year like myself, it may be too costly.

For all the talk in this video about how good the Oneplus 3t is, it misses the essential points. Jaime essentials are not the same as most people in my opinion. Essentials for me are good camera, good photos, good video, all are second rate on Oneplus 3t. Wireless charging, an essential for me, it's convenient and less hassle, not on Oneplus 3t. Expandable storage, I have a 200gb micro SD for engineering files, Oneplus 3t, max 128gb, no explansion. Dual sim?, so what? It's useful in third world countries. Water resistance, necessary for me, both for work and adventure sports, not on Oneplus 3t. High quality Super Amoled 2k screen, I want the best. It's not on Oneplus 3t. The above reasons are why Oneplus 3t is $250 cheaper. When you buy cheap something has got to give.

Brian M Everybody has his own opinion. I for expample prefer the 1+ 3t because its way more cheaper. And for me the camera quality Isn't that essential for me. I also prefer the dual-sim-slot because its reaaaally usefull (for me). I dont know why every body thinks its a disadvantage for the 1+ 3t to not have any sd card slot, because actually its not! You can connect your phone with a USB stick/SD card... It affords the same amount of time like you'd Link your SD card with your Mac or PC.

Your essentials are not the same as most people in my opinion. S7e has a marginally better camera in low light. If you're wanting to take the best pics, then you should be using a DSLR etc anyway, not a smartphone. Smartphone cameras are just for capturing quick moments, not creating masterpieces. Wireless charging is pointless and something I've seen very few people use. 128GB is more than enough for the average consumer. If you've got so many engineering files to store then you should be using a dedicated external storage device that will have far faster reads and writes than any phone will with far more capacity too. Water resistance etc? Can't remember the last time I needed this for a phone - a simple case would do the trick when necessary. The screen? You simply "want the best" - don't we all but there's far more too it than that. The screen provides a small difference. The only thing I don't like about the Oneplus 3T is the dual sim but like you said, it does have it's place in 3rd world countries. Currently the Oneplus 3T is £121 cheaper than the S7e at £392 vs £513 and all I get for all that extra money is more pixels for which the novelty wears off in a few days.

Galaxy S7 Edge may have the occasional stutters and may not be as customizable, but the things is - touchwiz has matured a lot and you're really getting a Galaxy device for the amazing software suite that comes with it these days. The phone you buy today is only as good as its software it's running and some companies have a huge lead over the others.

I really love my S7 but there are a bunch of minor things which gripe me. Always on display isn't useful without notifications, fingerprint sensor is on the front, glass back forces me to use a cover and I hate the earphone jack being on the bottom.....nothing major but would love to see the S8 make these improvements.
