The IR component in a phone is an obvious necessity for such convenience when you need a substitute universal remote when the original remote is damaged or lost for a device. In such cases like a hotel scenario where the original remote for the Air-conditioner is not working. I think remote control (IR) on your phone should be a necessary thing for microwave and blenders, phone makers should collaborate with those hardware manufacturers to make this feature happen. 😎💯💪🏾👍🏾
@@jor4n767 on my fold I can play hearthstone and have a tiny RU-vid player running (without the premium thingy), or I quickly open up a small browser window, I don't want to be constantly switching in and out, I want the ability to choose where and how big exactly it is on my screen. One+'s approach is interesting, yet far further from the desktop experience than Samsung folds are, at least from what I've seen.
Just love this fantistic phone, even I watched the durablity pass video which is channel here a crazy guy conducted the test. He claim that other fold phones did not pass like this Open. I dicided to buy . Thank you
Dude ir eally like how you dive deep into the phones features unlike other youtubers who just talk about brief features.. you're telling m e stuff abotu the phjone and now i want it even more
I thought like this as well but I'm realizing that having a longer when when upright is nice for a lot of regular phone applications and horizontal seems better then one plus cause it's more of a tablet aspect ratio
Mine is preordered. I’m glad you showed the video out, other people have said it doesn’t have video out. Have you experimented to the force desktop mode? Will it run an external monitor?
It crashes everything in "desktop mode". Resets your home screen layout and everything. Not unique to OnePlus. Google just needs to figure out what they want to do with it
I can’t wait for the oneplus open 2, once it comes out I will go buy it. Also we need a degoogle script and root script to use the full potential of the phone.
Been using Oppo Find N3 aka One Plus Open a week after ditching Samsung Fold 3. No regrets on it and happily using whole day long with the battery way better than Samsung😊
Adding 3rd app in Open is strange, some apps open below , some on the left. You cannot choose if you want 3 by side or 2 on top and 3rd on bottom. Its fixed to app. Even adding 2nd app is not such good as in Zfold. In Zfold you can drop on left, right, top, bottom and the view is splited horizontally or vertically dependent where you drop second app. If you drop in center then you get floating window. In Open if you want horizontal split you have to make vertical split and after that change it to horizontal. 3rd problem with Open is that not all aps can work half screen in horizontal split.
looks amazing but I was hoping for the find n2 or pixel fold format. Is there any chance you can compare this to an Honor Magic v2? Ppl already say it has very similar but slightly better specs and that Oneplus has a UI more refined than Honor.
Every other foldable phone has a more refined UI than Honor. Honor's main selling points are price and thinness. Every other aspect of the phone is pretty mediocre at best.
Hope Samsung going to do the same thing next year. Outer narrow screen is a pain. Including 5000 mamp battery is must also improving the camera sensor with inclusion of a periscope lens would be nice. The inner selfie cam should also be improved to make zoom meeting more fun. Otherwise I may go with one plus. They did many things right in their 1st device. Really its embarrassing for sammy.
